Indago sat awake in the Ravenclaw common room. Her blonde hair was tousled, her cane lay on the floor by her feet. She was currently cradling Simon in her arms. Indago constantly felt on the verge of tears. The family's Gringott's account was drying up, Indago could barely make ends meet with her part time job. She had a lot of people that needed to be taken care of. Simon, Pansy, Christina, Naomie, Kierra, Kevin, Lily and herself. That large a family couldn't live off the mere profits of a part time job at Ollivanders. Plus, Indago thought there was something up with Simon, he was a sickly infant, just when he got better he would get sick all over again. Indago laid a hand on Simon's forehead, he was getting a fever again. Indago felt a lot like crying. She was too young for all of this... Her eyes were wet, her forearms aching. "Please, Simon, please." Indago whispered, kissing the infant's head. For the first time in her life, Indago was seriously considering dropping out of school and getting a full-time job. But she had a feeling in the pit of her stomach that if she dropped out things would only be made worse... But she didn't have a clue of how else to make the tight ends meet. Then it hit her quite suddenly like a bag of bricks... A Time Turner. If she got her hands on one of those, she could work a full-time job, a part-time job, take care of her family and be in school all at once. It was the perfect solution. She just had to talk to Cici... For now, Indago continued to console the crying Simon, unsure of how to bring down the fever. Perhaps she ought to take him to the hospital wing...

Aly climbed down the stairs from the girls dorm. In the warm common room she saw Indago, cradling baby Simon. A rush of sympathy overwhelmed her. She walked up to her cousin. "Hey Indago," she said softly. She noticed Simon's sweaty face. "Is there anything I can do to help? He looks a little sick." Aly knew Indago had a lot of worries. She had three kids now, not to mention a little sister that had adopted triplets. Not that Aly didn't have troubles herself. Her family had never had much money, and times certainly weren't getting better. Still, Aly felt sympathy for Indago who had no parents and struggled on her own.

Indago blinked away the tears, but her eyes were still wet. "I don't know what you can do. This has been going on for a while, he gets sick, then he gets better, but then he gets sick all over again." Indago said softly, one tear escaped going slowly down her cheek. Indago heard a cry from her dorm. "Watch him, will you?" she asked, propping Simon up in the corner of the couch, picking up her cane and going as fast as she could up the stairs. She picked up the crying Pansy, then took her down stairs and sat back down on the couch, trying to console her daughter.

As Aly watched Simon, he began to quietly cry. "Lovely," muttered Aly. Aly had never particularly liked consoling babies, but she would have to get used to it. She looked at Indago, then picked him up. Rocking him softly, he slowly stopped crying, and stared at her, a funny look in his eyes. Aly blinked a little in surprise. That was the first time a baby had ever stopped crying in her arms.

Indago conjured a bottle from thin air and allowed Pansy to suck on it. You could certainly tell the fifteen-year-old was frazzled. Every inch of her appearence was haggard. Dark circles underlined her eyes, the eyes themselves bloodshot.

Aly felt baby Simon begin to drift to sleep. His fever seemed to be beginning to die down. "Hey Indago," she said softly. "Why don't you get some sleep. I think I can watch them for a little while." Aly saw the way Indago looked, and it wasn't good. Aly herself had been sleeping like a rock the past few days, and was up to staying up a while longer.

"I wouldn't dream of it, I would feel horrible dumping a sick kid and a kid that's apparently noctournal." Indago said firmly. They'd have Aly up all night, Indago wouldn't stand for it. She gently rocked Pansy as the child ate.

"I'm serious, Indago," Aly said, pressing further. "Just for a few hours. If I need you, I'll wake you up." Simon, who Aly was still holding, was now completely asleep. "See, I'm a baby charmer already," she joked.

"However tempting it may be, trust me it is, I'm not letting you stay up all night with them." Indago said firmly. The most she would do is let Aly stay with her a while, but Aly didn't need to suffer because of what happened to Indago.

"Fine," said Aly exasperately. She looked down at Simon's small face. How innocent he looked as he slept. If only life was like that all the time. Even for him, a tiny little baby, life was difficult.

"I think I'm going to request the day off my Ollivander's job tomorrow, take him to see a healer." Indago said to nobody in particular. Tomorrow would be Saturday...

"That might be a good idea," agreed Aly quietly. "He does seem a little sick. His fever has died down a bit though. He's sick a lot isn't he?"

Indago nodded. "It happens a lot, I have no clue what's going on with him." Indago said with a frown, definate tone of worry present in her voice.

"I'm sorry," said Aly. "I hope he gets better." Just then, Simon woke up and stared at her. He didn't cry or moan. He just stared at her. Aly giggled softly. So did Simon. Aly laughed.

Indago smiled softly, her newly blonde hair fell into her eyes. Pansy threw the bottle on the floor, apparently done with it. Indago waved her wand and uttered a spell which made it disappear.
