Aly was exhausted. Despite exhaustion gnawing at her, she still couldn't sleep. The strange part was, she didn't even know why. Everything seemed normal...well, as normal as it was going to get. But her sleep had been gradually getting worse. In exasperation, she put the pillow over her head, squishing her face into the mattress.

The sky grew steadily inker as the night slowly dragged on. Through the window, Indago could see nothing but blackness. The night was cloudy, not even the moon was visible. Sleep didn't come very easily, but it came after an hour or two of lying awake, her eyelids finally slid shut.
