Gabriella was silent for the remainder of the drive, looking out the window at the houses they passed. When Safira stopped the car she got out as quietly as she could manage, aware that Aurora was still asleep. Gabriella was amazed by the beautiful little girl, but couldn't help but be reminded of the baby she was carrying. Again, she felt guilty that she had yet to tell Isaac she was expecting. Gabriella just didn't know how to get the words out. Now she turned toward Safira, waiting while her sister in-law got Aurora from the backseat.

Safira carefully took Aurora from her carseat, settling the infant into the crook of her left arm, grabbing her shopping bags in her right hand. She was amazed that her daughter had stayed asleep for so long, during the night it seemed she didn't sleep at all. Safira lead the way up the steps to the front door, frowning a bit at how she would manage to get the door open with her hands so full. She awkwardly pulled her wand from her enchanted pocket to undo the locks and open the door for her. Safira then, heels and all, walked up the stairs to the nursery to lay Aurora down.

Gabriella followed her sister in-law inside, but stayed rather awkwardly in the kitchen as Safira went upstairs to lay Aurora down. Gabriella felt like intruding too much further into the house would be rude. She occupied herself by looking around the kitchen a bit, admiring the house Safira and Demetri lived in. At last, Gabriella smelled Safria moving back downstairs.

"Sorry about that," Safira said to Gabriella, she probably shouldn't have just left her sister-in-law standing there, "it's just that Aurora very seldom sleeps so well, I didn't want to wake her." Safira flicked her wand at the cupboard, immediately annimating all the necessities for afternoon tea to set themselves up. "I've got some ah, refreshments you might enjoy in the fridge if you're hungry," said Safira. She had been keeping a couple of bags of blood in the back of the fridge, just in case Raychel or Gabriella stopped by.

Gabriella had thought she smelled extra blood in the house, though she had been a bit confused about why until now. "Um, not right now, thanks," she said politely to Safira. She wasn't more than a little thirsty at the moment and Gabriella thought it might disgust Safira to see her drinking blood. Gabriella found it a bit disgusting herself.

"All right," said Safira, gesturing for Gabriella to follow her into one of the connecting rooms. She supposed that it was supposed to be some sort of formal living room, but she had instead turned into a tearoom- it really wasn't large enough for entertaining. So she had nicely decorated the room with a smaller table and chairs perfect for afternoon tea. "You're welcome to tea," said Safira as the entire tea set situated itelf perfectly on the table, "I'm not sure how much you will enjoy it, but I figure that I should at least offer."

Gabriella smiled, glad that Safira was taking this so lightly. "Thanks, but I'll pass," Gabriella said politely. "Tea tastes something like muddy water to me." Gabriella had yet to find a human food that she enjoyed as a vampire, though alcoholic beverages were still decent to drink. She supposed that she never would find anything she liked to eat anymore; vampires were wired to drink blood, not eat food.

Ever since Aurora had been born Safira seemed to be in a permanent good mood, something which she was not going to complain about. She couldn't explain why, but somehow having a baby in the house made her happy hormones surge. She poured herself a cup of tea and added a small bit of sugar, waiting for it to cool before drinking. Safira was quiet for the moment, she didn't know what to say, other than voicing concerns for Isaac that Gabriella probably had as well.
