Seth knew that he should visit Wren soon. It had been two months since he had truly seen her. But ever since he had.... changed, everything else had been pushed to the way side. Seth had meant to tell his family but no matter how hard he tried he just didn't know how to. There were now to many secrets in his life that Seth wasn't sure how he could tell anyone about them. He had been changed into a vampire about two months ago and had told no one yet. He had changed his shifts at St.Mungo's to the night shift and stopped almost all communication with everyone besides letters. Seth knew that he couldn't continue living like that though which was why he was currently standing on Wrens doorstep.
Seth should have told his family a lot of things but hadn't. That was why Wren would be the first person he would talk to. She would understand and not yell at him in response to all the things he was to hopefully share with her. Seth wasn't sure how the conversation was going to turn out but he had to explain his relationship with Marcus the intern and the fact that he was a vampire now. It would probably turn into a long conversation...
Gathering his courage, Seth knocked on the door and waited for a response.

Wren straightened up when she heard a knock on the door, wondering who it might be. "I'll get it," said Wren to Violet, pushing herself off the couch and quickly walking down the hall. Thankfully they had only knocked instead of ringing the doorbell. Ruby was not a pleasure to be around if she got woken from her nap prematurely. Wren unlocked the door and opened it to see none other than her older brother Seth, she beamed at him, but he looked... different. She couldn't put her finger on what, but something definitely wasn't the same about him. Perhaps he had been ill? That would explain why she hadn't seen him in months.
"Seth!" said Wren, happily all the same even if she was a little worried, "come in, come in." She ushered Seth inside and then closed the door behind him. She decided that before she lead him to the living room she would have to tell him who else was there. "Violet's here too," said Wren, leaving out the fact about the pregnancy, thinking her sister would want to tell Seth herself. "Are you all right? You look different," Wren added, concern finally showing in her normally sparkling brown eyes.

Seth relaxed as soon as he saw his younger sister and smiled weakly at her as he stepped through the door way. It had been far to long since he had seen her and Seth had missed Wren dearly. She was the anchor of the family some would say, keeping a calm and level head as she dealt with the crazy family. She was the one who had managed to handle Violets relationship with Jordan while still staying on good terms with the parents. She was able to run a house hold with two children and some pets. She would also hopefully be able to handle Seths news with an equally level head.
Hearing that Violet was there as well made Seth stiffen slightly. Perhaps now wasn't the best of times to be sharing his species change after all... Seth still had not managed to get onto better terms with his other sibling and wasn't sure that sharing all of his news would be the best way of rebuilding those bridges. Seth could keep his secrets a little longer then perhaps...
"I'm doing alright now," Seth said, avoiding Wrens eyes since he knew they would show concern. Seth was not sure how to explain anything to Wren at the moment so he felt better not talking about it in general. "Don't worry about it though, I'll tell you about whats been going on later. Lets go greet Violet, it would be rude to leave her hanging for to long," Seth said with a weak smile as he changed the focus of conversation.

Wren looked Seth up and down, trying to put her finger on what had gone wrong. He seemed paler even though the sun was coming out more frequently and the weather was more agreeable. There was a different quality to him, it made her feel uneasy. "All right," Wren said skeptically when Seth said that he was fine now. Did that mean he had been very ill before and had taken that long to recover? He had never said anything about being sick, but now Wren was sure that was what it had been. Why else would Seth shut himself away for so long?
Wren was puzzled, unsure of why Seth would share with her what had happened but not Violet. She had known there had been a bit of unsteadiness between her brother and her sister over the marriage, but Wren wasn't sure if any of it had been resolved. Maybe it wasn't the best idea for Seth to learn of Violet's pregnancy. "Right, come on back, then," said Wren, smiling though felt concern eating at her all the same. She lead the way back into the living room, and no sooner did they enter the room did Penny immediately hop off the couch and leave with her tail between her legs, as if she were frightened.
"Now what on earth was that about?" said Wren, eyes following her dog until she reached the stairs and was out of sight. She plopped back down on the couch after taking a quick look at Daniel, who was still quite content in his swing. Wren would have to feed him soon, but for the moment he looked happy.

((OOC: So I was just about to reply, but what do you guys think if I have Violet figure out that Seth's a vampire. I think she'll have some knowledge of them from her Auror's training, so it wouldn't be so foreign to her.))

((OOC: Excellent!)) Violet sat in silence for a few minutes, a bit rattled by the sudden turn in events. It felt like one second she had been gushing with her sister about her pregnancy and the next Seth had been escorted into the house by Wren. She could hear them talking in low voices by the door, but Violet couldn't hear everything they were saying. As her brother entered the room, she smiled kindly at him.
And then Violet frowned. Seth looked different, too different to be natural. His skin was pale as snow and his eyes were bordering on being red. If she had to, Violet would venture a guess that her brother's skin would be ice cold too. But when Penny ran out of the room, terrified, Violet was sure. "Vampire," she breathed, staring at Seth in disbelief. When had this happened to him? And why? Questions were flooding through Violet's head, but she first instinctively fingered her wand inside her robes.

Seth's eyes snapped onto Violet as he stared at her in shock. How could she know? Seths first instinct was to run but his feet were glued to the ground. He could see the slight movement within Violets robes and had no doubt that she was going to pull her wand on him at any moment. This was the end.
"What?" Seth asked. All his heightened senses were on over drive as he felt himself starting to panic. Violet knew he was a monster. She had only needed to look at him and she knew. Seths senses searched out the quickest escape rout, trying to get him to run away from this situation. Solina, his master, had described in fine details what happened to vampires who were found out. He should have guarded his secret better. He should have continued to avoid his family and just moved to some far off country to start a new life.
But what had tipped Violet off? Seth realized how tense he had become and took a deep breath and forced his body to relax. He was to new to be panicking. Seth needed to calm down and regain control over himself. This was his family and there was no need to panic. Don't focus on anything and everyone could get through this. Seth didn't need to be thinking about his own sister attacking him. Seth didn't need to worry about how Violet knew. All that mattered was that his secret was out and it was time to face the bell. This just meant that he could stop stressing about keeping his secret and no longer needed to think of a way of telling people. Yes, think naive optimistic thoughts like that. Just because he was a blood drinking monster didn't mean his family would disown him. He wouldn't be hunted down and butchered like the monster he had become.
"I'm sorry," Seth said, figuring that was a good start. Apologize for everything, for becoming a vampire, for almost panicking just then, for not telling them sooner. Just apologize for everything and move on. That was a good way of doing this.

Violet eyed her brother carefully, forgetting about Wren for the moment. She didn't know what Seth's intentions were or even if he was quite himself anymore. She knew that if a vampire turned a human, they would have an enormous amount of control over the newborn vampire. So if Seth was acting under the influence of his turner, he could be quite dangerous. But Violet wasn't sure quite yet.
Her brother tensed and Violet gripped her wand more tightly, unsure what he would do. A lot of thoughts seemed to run through Seth's head, but after a while he simply apologized. For what, Violet couldn't be sure. But that certainly seemed a lot more like the Seth that she knew. Relaxing, Violet released her wand.
"No need to apologize," Violet said kindly, still in shock that her brother was actually a vampire. She had not expected that to come out of her meeting with Wren. "But how did it happen, Seth?" Violet was also wondering why he hadn't just told them, but she did consider that he hadn't exactly been given the chance since she had figured it out so quickly. Violet could thank the Auror's Office for that one. Apparently all of her extra training had actually come in handy.

Wren felt her chest seize up, her brother was a vampire? How was that possible? How had it happened? For once in her life Wren was rendered speechless. What was she supposed to say? Violet had her hand on her wand, should she take out her own? Wren wasn't sure if she could ever raise her wand against her brother, regardless of whether or not he was a vampire. But Violet knew what she was doing, she had gone through the Auror training. Wren hardly noticed that she had stood back up after having sat down only moments before.
She subconsciously stood in front of Daniel in his swing, who didn't seem to notice that anything was off as he laid just as contently as ever. Wren looked from Seth to Violet, and then back to Seth again, waiting for someone to say something. She bit her lip, that was not what she had been expecting, though it made sense why he was so pale, how he looked so... Different. Wren wasn't sure what to think, she still loved her brother as much as ever, though the news was nonetheless shocking, and Violet's reaction wasn't exactly calming.
Wren breathed deeply to calm herself, watching Seth expectantly for an explanation as to how this had come to be, what was going to happen, and everything else that he could think of to explain. She was just glad that Ruby had managed to stay asleep through everything so far.

Violet had nearly forgotten about Wren until she noticed her sister was standing, conveniently in front of Daniel as if she could protect him from harm. Violet of course knew that this was completely ridiculous unless Wren was going to use her wand, but she supposed it was simply motherly instinct. But Violet was hoping that Seth was still himself and then they wouldn't have a problem.
Seeing her sister's tension, Violet gripped a bit more tightly on her wand again. If Seth went at Wren, she wouldn't hesitate to curse him. But after his apology, Violet was starting to feel that he wasn't going to be hostile. She could only hope that she was correct, because if not, she would only have a split-second to save the lives of the four people in the house. And ever since she had discovered she was pregnant, Violet wasn't exactly feeling on top of her abilities.
"I think maybe we should all calm down a bit," Violet offered in hopes to dispense the obvious tension in the room. If Seth was himself, he would be hurt by his sister's actions. If he wasn't, then they would quickly be the ones hurting. Violet suddenly wished Jordan were there. Maybe he would know what to do with a newborn vampire.

Seth was unbelievable hurt by their reactions. Seth watched as Wren put herself between him and the baby which only added to his pain. He shouldn't of come here. Violet was on the edge of cursing him and Wren stood full of tension and unease. It had been stupid and selfish to come to this place. He should have kept his distance and just disappeared. If he had done that none of this would be happening and no one would know that he was a vampire. But he was here and they deserved an explanation, no matter how reluctant he was to give them one.
"I'm sorry," Seth said again as he took a step back to give them both more room. "I didn't want anyone to know. I should have stayed away," Seth realized he was rambling and shut his mouth. They didn't need a panicky vampire to deal with right now. Seth breathed through his nose and could practically smell the tension in the air. "It was an accident. I went to the bar right after Daniels birth to celebrate," Seth spoke softly with his eyes fixed on the floor.
Seth hated remembering. If it was up to him he would just obliviate the memory from his mind. But he had to remember now and tell his sisters. He had decided to come here so they deserved an explanation. "That is where I met her. It was easy for her to get me to outside with her and next thing ya know, I'm a vampire," Seth said with a shrug of his shoulders. "I didn't plan on telling anyone though. As I have learned people don't like vampires," Seth had to force the word 'vampire' out of his mouth like it was curse. It was a curse though, one that would plague him for the rest of his now unnaturally long life.
"I should not of come here and I'm sorry," Seth said, finally making himself look at Wren. There were children in this house and a monster did not belong here. But Seth had craved human contact so badly, no, he had craved his family! He hadn't seen them for two months now and it hurt to stay away. He needed to be with his family so badly, they were so important to him!

Wren relaxed a bit, not that she had ever thought that Seth was going to attack them all, but young vampires were known for their unpredictability. She remembered studying them in her sixth year at Hogwarts and while truthfully she didn't remember a lot (Defense Against the Dark Arts had never been her area of expertise), she did recall that it took a while for vampires to be able to control themselves. Now Wren felt almost ashamed, her eyes stung, but she blinked forcefully before tears would come to them. As a quiet gesture to show that she trusted him, Wren moved to the side and sat back down on the couch.
Her wand was even on the coffee table, out of her reach from where she was sitting- she would have to stand up to grab it again. Wren listened patiently as Seth explained how he had become this way, still feeling unease in the pit of her stomach, mainly now because it was quite a bit of a shock to her. Wren had known that there were vampires in the United Kingdom, but never in her wildest dreams would she expect that her brother would walk among them. It made her incredibly sad, Seth would be living a long time, he would be there to see the rest of his friends and family die... It was a fate that Wren probably wouldn't be able to handle.
She allowed a pause to settle in a moment before she spoke, wishing that Seth hadn't said that he shouldn't have come. Wren always wanted her siblings to feel welcome in her house, it was something that was important to her that they remain close. Always being at one another's houses and things, it was what she had wanted ever since she was little. "Thank God she didn't kill you," Wren finally said, she wouldn't have known what to do with herself if Seth had wound up dead.
"And as long as you're confident of... your abilities... you can come over whenever you want," Wren added. Vampire or not Seth was still her brother, and regardless of what Violet thought Wren was going to maintain a relationship with him. Just the way she had continued loving Violet just as much as she always had when she had married Jordan. This was just a different kind of obstacle that needed to be overcome.
