Seth felt a little nervous about meeting hsi youngest sibling after having been apart for so long. Seth hadn't seen Jason for one year now and wasn't sure how things were going to go tonight. Seth had arranged to meet with Jason here so that Seth could get Jason a new broom since Seth had missed Jason's thirteenth birthday because of the other being in school. Seth figured that getting a broom for the kid was a good idea since Seth remembered Jason liked quiditch. Seth wondered if Jason had joined his house team yet and if so what position the boy was. Seth could remember Jason being quick and agile and could see him being a good chaser.
Seth smiled at his memories of Jason only to look up and down the darkened streets. Street lamps had been lit but it did not stop Seth from feeling worried. If not for his vampirsim, which Seth still had told only three other people about, he would have been meeting up with his younger brother during the day. Instead though he had talked his parents into letting Jason out at night under the pretense of working during the day and only having late evenings available to hang out with his brother. Seth was glad he was still in the good graces of his parents but doubted it would last much longer. More likely then not Seth wouldn't be seeing Jason at all when their parents learned that Seth was a gay vampire. Thinking of how they would react only made Seth feel depressed though. They hadn't accepted Violets marriage so how would they accept a gay son? A gay vampiric son at that.
Seth sighed and looked around again. He really did need to stop thinking. Seth just needed to figure out what was taking Jason so long, that slow boy was taking forever!

Jason ran down the streets knowing that he was late, but it wasn't his fault that he had to deal with some homework and chores. Jason just hoped that Seth would understand that Jason had really tried to get there on time, but Jason knew that if he didn't concentrate on what he was doing now then he would trip, so Jason stopped thinking about what had kept him, and just thought about running. When Jason saw Seth he began to slow down a tad bit, even though there was still a great distance between them, so when Jason had finely reached Seth he had to lean against the wall to catch his breath before he even thought about talking to his brother. When Jason could finally breath he looked at Seth and smiled a little boys smile, "what's up old one?" Jason said in a joking voice, "sorry i took so long, i had to finish up some chores and homework, you wouldn't believe how hard the homework is now a days." Jason continued to smile but he stayed leaning against the wall just in case he hadn't cached all of his breath, he sorta thought that it would be a bit lame if he fainted all because he stood up straight to soon so he stayed against the wall a bit longer.

Seth sometimes enjoyed being a vampire honestly. He could smell Jason coming well before Seth could see him and when Jason finally got their Seth could practically see the blood bumping through his veins. Seth could smell what Jason had eaten for the past twenty four hours all because of what he smelt like. All of these things Seth could tell and now hardly even noticed unless he was paying attention.
"Oh I bet I could imagine just how hard all that summer work is sproutling," Seth said with a teasing grin whilst he waited for the other to catch his breath. Seth was also glad to know that he'd never need to catch his breath again. He'd be able to run as far and as long as he wished really if he ever bothered to try. Oxygen was no longer a necessity but a welcome commodity for Seth. Seth would never again need to worry about feeling faint or light headed because he had run to far. He'd also never feel the tightening in his chest one got from working to hard and having their heart racing and their lungs working over time in an attempt to get enough air. But none of that Seth wished to think about at this time. Instead he wanted to focus on the more positive things in an attempt at staying happy while in the presence of his youngest sibling.
"So what subject were you struggling with?" Seth asked Jason, assuming that if Jason was complaining about summer homework it was most likely one specific class that was troubling him. Seth knew that if Jason just asked one of his many siblings there was bound to be someone within the family that could easily help the boy with his homework. Sometimes it was good to live in such a large family because of just how easy it proved to find help. There was always at least one person who would be willing to help and support you.

"its just defense against the dark arts, but once i asked a friend for help i figured it out real quick." Jason stopped leaning against the wall seeing as he was fine now, "so what are we going to do? just lean against this wall and talk?" Jason had a feeling that there was something else then just talking Seth wanted to do but Jason just didn't know yet and he just couldn't wait to figure it out.
Jason began thinking of the many different reasons why Seth would want to see Jason right now but none of them sounded right to Jason, and it was beginning to drive him bonkers, so Jason decided to just stop thinking for the moment in tell Seth tells him whats up, mostly because Jason wanted to know but also because Jason thought that there was something different about Seth and Jason just wanted to figure it out.

Seth nodded, glad to hear that Jason had some friends who were able to help him out. Living out in the country with the parents still Seth hadn't been sure how well Jason was able to stay in contact with friends over the summer. Seth remembered that he himself never really bothered since he figured he'd rather go and explore the acres of land that lay around the house instead. The family had been living in the country well before Jason had been born so Jason wouldn't know what it felt like to live in the confinment of the city. Someday Seth hoped to be able to buy himself some land. Move away from all the preying eyes and be able to just relax and let his guard down for once. But none of that was why the were here!
"Well I missed your birthday," Seth said sadly as he glanced at the quididtch shop that they stood in front of. "And I remembered that you enjoyed this sport so I figured I'd get you a late gift. Got your own broom?" Seth asked, just now realizing that Jason may not have a need for a new broom. Seth had just figured getting the kid a broom would make up for Seth having missed both his birthday and Christmas this past year. But if Jason already had a good broom it would seem just a little pointless to be getting him another one...

hearing that they were here to get Jason a Broom made Jason's eyes light up with excitement, "really? you aren't joking are you? this is awesome!" Jason was so excited that it would have almost seemed like Seth had never missed Jason's birthday. with how happy Jason seemed he almost looked like a puppy that you had just given a treat to, Jason could just not stop smiling a grin that for some would look like it would hurt. "can we go in now? i just cant wait!" Jason looked almost as if he was about to jump up and down in excitement just by standing still.

Seth chuckled at Jasons obvius excitemnt but refused to enter the shop just yet. There were a few restrictions he had for the boy before they entered. For one thing, despite how much Seth may want to be, Seth was not made out of money and so there was a price limit that he would need to explain to Jason. Also Seth figured that he should try making a deal with the boy before the broom was bought. Seth didn't want to get him a broom only to have him never use it. Seth wasn't positive if Jason was on his house team yet but Seth was pretty sure he wasn't. Seth knew how much the boy loved the game and so figured that as a trade for getting him a good broom Jason had to play Quiditch at school. Seth didn't care what position he played, just so long as Jason had fun and enjoyed himself.
"Yes I'm serious but there are a few catches that come with this gift. First of all as much as I hate to say it, there is a price limit so don't be expecting any new models. You'll be stuck with the much older versions like the firebolt or something. Also if I get you a broom you must use it. From what I've heard your still not on the house team, there a reason for that?" Seth asked with a raised eyebrow. More than likely Jason had been just to unfocused to bother joining the team.
