Persephone walked into her office almost in a daze, never before had she experienced such torn emotions. She was overjoyed on one hand in having just found out she was pregnant, and on the other scared to death that she might miscarry again. Persephone had lost a baby at nineteen and hadn't been able to conceive since- so to know that she was thrilling, but she felt so frightened that she was almost sick to her stomach. Or perhaps it was the nausea that she had been experiencing on and off throughout the day for the past two weeks. Persephone sat herself down at her desk, putting her fingertips together and lightly resting her chin atop them. She needed to talk to Gabriel straightaway, he'd likely come to her, they often met up in her office at the end of the day. All of a sudden her sight went dim, giving way to a vision.
She observed a group of three people in a field of wildflowers and tall grass, the sun was shining brilliantly and a breeze played at the plants. There was a woman, a man, and a child. The child sprinted ahead, giggling. He was a boy of perhaps five or six- he had very dark brown hair and bright blue-grey eyes with very pale skin. He looked a lot like Gabriel.
"Catch me, Mummy! Catch me!" The boy called, laughing as he ran.
"Oh you'd better run faster!" The woman called back, now running after the boy as the man laughed.
It was then that Persephone Saw the woman's red tresses and her face... It was her! The group was her, her husband, and their future child!
Persephone suddenly jerked out of her vision with a slight headache added to the nausea, but just then she didn't care in the slightest. She was pregnant, and she wasn't going to lose the baby, they were going to have a boy. Tears were streaming from her eyes though she was grinning to the point where it made her cheeks hurt. She tenderly placed a hand on her stomach though the baby would be too small to feel at this point. Persephone was so overwhelmingly happy that she didn't notice the door had opened until it had been closed rather loudly. Flinching slightly and her eyes still leaking tears of joy, Persephone looked up only to see...
