Calypso is a half-blood with a single, unkowing muggle mother. She grew up as a muggle, having never known her wizard father or of her abilities. Once her mother discovered her abilities, Calypso found herself on the street and in the wizarding orphanage for four years. She aspires to be a writer, as she feels the need to illuminate the problems that she watches destroy the world. For this reason, she feels at home in larger crowds, where she can come out of her shell, knowing there are others who are like her. She will often be the loudest person in the room with her opinions and causes. In smaller settings, especially one on one, she becomes much more awkward, clumsy and shy, focused on social etiquette that she never quite grasped. Although she knows she probably won't have acceptance from others (be it for her bloodline, clothes, or situation), she secretly finds herself trying to gain it when put on the spot. FRIENDS-Friends are few for Calypso, with how shy and awkward she gets when all attention is on her. Friends would see her true side, where she doesn't worry about having to figure out how to interact. I imagine her associating a lot more with muggleborns and those familiar with the muggle world, or others she met in the orphanage growing up. Family-wise, I imagine her father (an elitist slytherin alumni), having had other children and made a life for himself. This being said I would eventually like to get a long-lost sister/daughter reunion with spiteful feelings. LOVE-Calypso, for the same reason she has few friends, has fewer love interests. She carries a lot of weight from her father leaving, and the insecurities of her impoverished back ground. I would like to get her having at least one relationship for character development. Once again, relationships would probably run deeper than the average teenage hook up. ENEMIES-Calypso radiates a general "fuck you" attitude, and has a very similar way of handling arguments, having realized she'll probably never have approval from others. In social situations, she could be the loudest person in the room, on account of her opinions, I see a few rivalries or enemies. Otherwise she is the ideal girl who will find herself in a petty catfight when they strike a nerve. [/blockquote]
