Really, this moment was nothing short of magical, being able to be entirely at ease around Evelyn, to not have to restrain his feelings and his thoughts. Being in a safe environment, there was nobody here at the commune that would take this information anywhere that might cause either of them any trouble. It was a beautiful thing. Though now he wasn't exactly sure how to recapture the moment, but he was confident that it'd happen, they'd been stepping so lightly around each other for so long, holding back what they felt and what they wanted to do, it wouldn't take much for that spark to return.
It was all just a matter of time. Lightly humming to himself, Gavin waltzed around the circular room, tapping candles with the end of his wand to light them. As he went he unceremoniously tucked away papers strewn about- various things to do with his Divination research. The vast majority of them were now divided between his office and the classroom back at the school, though he still had a great deal left in his yurt. Gavin liked to come back on the weekends, it was nice to get away from the school on occasion, to come back to where he felt that he most belonged.
"Excellent," said Gavin, he was glad that Evelyn approved, most people who didn't grow up on the commune found it rather strange- were put off by the lax rules on most things, particularly with love and displays of affection. To Gavin, it was entirely natural, to be able to chose whomever he'd like to be intimate with, and for others around him to do the same. The commune was, largely, a free-love, polyamorous sort of community, it really was lovely. With the final candle lit, Gavin laid his wand on the desk before turning back to Evelyn.
"Yes, indeed," said Gavin, his heart suddenly leaping up into his throat. He'd been alone with Evelyn before, but this time was a whole lot different, he didn't have to hold back anymore, and he scarcely had any idea where to begin. "Come, sit with me," said Gavin, again taking Evelyn's hand in his own sleeve-covered one. He pulled her over to a mound of cushions which served as both a living and sleeping area- the desk was the only formal furniture in the place.
