Fiyero's Last Moments

-Continued from Gryfindor vs. Slytherin thread. Fiyero asked me to call it this.-
Liliana leaned over Fiyero's bed, weeping. Please wake up. she pleaded.

Fiyero awoke then, and seeing Liliana weep made him jump. She looked at him and he wiped her tears away. "Lil. Stop, please. I'm sorry I have gotten you into all these messes your in." he rubbed Liliana's stomach under her shirt.

"Please don't leave me." Liliana pleaded. Tears spilled down her cheeks. No! Not Fiyero, please! He doesn't deserve this! Take me instead. she thought angrily.

"I am so sorry." he whispered faintly. He knew his time was almost at an end. "Please tell James when he is born that his father loved him very much."

Liliana nodded. "But, Fiyero. Please, don't leave me. I'm not strong enough to go on without you." she cried.

"Yes, you are. Now, please, stop this nonsense." Fiyero muttered. "Liliana... I love...you. Kiss me...one last...time"

Liliana nodded and leaned over. She kissed him lightly at first. She cradled his head in her hands and layed next to him. She started to kiss more passionatly.

Fiyero smiled and curled his hands into Liliana's long black hair. I want this to last. At least let me live long enough kiss her more. he begged. Fiyero laid there, growing weaker, as Liliana kissed him. He took his lips from hers for a moment. "I love you. Goodbye." he whispered. Liliana leaned in for one last kiss, and he took his final breath.

Liliana felt him die, felt the life go out. She stopped kissing him and looked at his blank face. Tears ran down her face as she stared into his lightless eyes. "Fiyero. I..." she started to say something but choked on her tears. At least...at least I got to say goodbye. How could this have happened! After everything we have been through. Liliana thought. She turned and walked away, never to look at her love again.

Cici took strides to catch up with Liliana. "Miss Yorker, I am sorry for your loss. I know how it feels, to lose someone so close. I wanted to give you this." Cici said very quietly, laying a hand on Liliana's shoulder. She pulled a pink slip of parchment from her pocket. Written on it in emerald ink was "Miss Liliana Yorker has permission to leave when she feels that class is overwhelming. ~Cici".

Liliana looked up at Cici, her tears staining her face. "Thank you. I'm sorry, I...shouldn't be....crying like this." Liliana whispered coarsly, trying to regain some strength.

"Nonsense, you have lost someone very dear to you! I would consider you crazy if you weren't crying. I was in your situation, just don't push yourself too hard." Cici responded. She gently rubbed Liliana's shoulder. "I best be off, but you know where I'll be if you need a talk." Cici said, then began to walk down the corridor.

"Wait! Um, Cici? Umm, I have been meaning to ask you on where I should go when James is ready to be born?" Liliana called after her.

Cici turned back, then returned to Liliana's side. Once again, she placed a hand on her shoulder. "Why don't you go and fetch me Miss Potter and we shall have a chat about that, in about 15 minutes in my office hmm?" Cici suggested. She then walked back down the corridor, with a swish of her lime green cloak, she had rounded the corridor and began desending the stairs.
