Hyperion, doing what he did best, had essentially figured out about Julie having a thing for Darren Richter, and the seventh year seemed to be returning it. But he knew better, Hyperion had done a little digging and had found Darren's reputation to be questionable, certainly not the kind of person that he wanted Julie to be hanging around. Hyperiond feared for his friend, he did not want to see her hurt again, and the seventh year seemed like he was just the right person to do just that.
But for the first time in his life the socially smooth Hyperion had no idea about how to confront Julie about her romantic interest. It was why that during supper that evening he was here instead of in the Great Hall- Hyperion had sent a note to Seamus at breakfast, telling him to meet him during dinner, surely Seamus might have something. Hyperion frowned a bit as the door opened, he only hoped that it was Seamus.

Seamus had gotten Hyperion's note early that morning, delivered with his breakfast. He was confused, but obliged. When he noticed Hyperion's slightly troubled look, he frowned. His friend wasn't one to get such a look on his face. Seamus shut the door behind him, then sat himself upon the desk closest to his friend. "What's wrong?" he asked. Vaguely, he wondered if it had anything with Julie. Without being able to stop himself, he blurted out, "Is Julie alright?" Hyperion saw Julie more than he did, but not by much. She was seemingly happier, which was good. But, why?

"For now," said Hyperion, and then took out his wand. He used a complex spell to lock the door, so that way their friend, or anyone else for that matter, wouldn't accidentally stumble upon them. "She's been flirting with a guy callen Darren Richter, he's in my house, a seventh year. But I think he may be after her for the wrong reasons," Hyperion said, frowning. Whenever he said something along the lines of "I think..." it usually meant that he was certain or that it was true, but he didn't want it to be that way. Hyperion was worried, the last thing he wanted was to see Julie get hurt again.

Seamus felt his blood run cold. He nodded gently. "I've heard of him,," he replied softly, eyes finding the floor. Darren was a creep. He'd only seen him once, ages ago, pressed up against some girl, in Flourish and Blott's. It had been just after he started working there, and he paid no mind, letting the manager shoo the couple out. Hopefully, Julie was aware that the older guy was trouble. Or Seamus might personally have to pummel Richter's face in. He wasn't one for bravery, or violence, but this was difference, it was potential trouble for his best girl friend.

Hyperion nodded grimly. Hopefully having Seamus in on this might make it easier to figure out what they were going to do about it. He didn't even like the fact that Darren was so much as looking at Julie, let alone talking to her, or perhaps doing more than that. Hyperion knew that Julie wasn't stupid, but he could see how she would be tempted by him and his flattery. "I asked you to meet me here because I know we need to tell Julie what kind of guy Richter is, but I'm not sure how to tell her. Seamus, she seems like she's happy, but this won't end well, I can feel it." Hyperion said.

Seamus didn't speak for a long while. His brain was pumping, trying desperately to come up with a plan. "We just have to... tell her. Soon," he replied finally, looking at Hyperion with seriousness in his eyes. Never before had he been so deadly serious, other than after Julie had told him what happened to her because of her dad. Seamus clenched his fists together. "Or, we could always bash pretty boy's face in if he so much as looks at her the wrong way," Seamus added viciously.

"Confronting Darren isn't going to solve a thing," Hyperion said, although he would have dearly loved to curse the boy for all that he was worth. He knew it wasn't the way to go about doing things, it would only make Julie turn on them. "Seamus, I haven't a clue on how to tell her," Hyperion continued frowning, frustrated with himself for not being able to come up with anything, "if we just come out and say it she'll get angry with us." This had to be done delicately, he didn't want to make Julie angry, Hyperion had first-hand experience with how stubborn she could be.
