Julie had sent the notes nearly a week ago, and was now finding herself the happiest she had been in a long time. Sure, the OWL exams were less than a month away, and she was confident that she was going to fail a good portion of them, but she was dating Darren Richter and today she would be with her two best friends in the world. Julie might even go to the extent of thinking herself right at home amongst her typical peers. She smiled up at the room, it would be perfect for the three of them that evening.
The room featured comfy furniture, a large fire place, a few shelves with books and other trinkets, and a window that offered a spectacular view of the grounds in spite of the thunderstorm going on. Just above the window was a banner that read Happy Birthday Hyperion! in letters that would periodically change colour. Julie plopped herself down, waiting for her best friends to show up.

Hyperion pushed open the door to the room, wondering if it was odd how relatively unexcited he was about the fact that it was his birthday. It felt like any other Tuesday to him. Perhaps it was just the age, only sixteen, so close to being able to do magic as he pleased, inches from being an adult, but not quite being there. Hyperion had fancied himself being an adult since the age of six, waiting to be a "grown-up" was frustrating. A smile came to his lips at the sight of his petite friend. "Hi Julie," said Hyperion as he allowed the door to slide closed behind him.

Julie grinned when she saw Hyperion walk into the room. He looked no different than usual, still his tall self. He never failed to make her feel short, especially since she couldn't recall growing an inch after second year. She stood up and hugged Hyperion around the waist. "Happy birthday," Julie said, grinning up at him, having to crane her neck to keep eye contact.
