Luke finished off his sandwich and tossed the paper wrappings into a nearby garbage can. He bit his lip slightly before remembering that it was an old habit of Jenna's, then quickly stopped. Luke still couldn't really thing about her, something was nagging at him to go back and try to make things right, though he knew in his heart that it was really over this time.

Luke made a slight face before sitting down on one of the nearby benches. Even though Jenna wouldn't be coming with him as planned, Luke still wanted to get away for a while and travel Europe. He didn't like the idea of a looming war, he felt that taking a couple of weeks, or maybe months, off was his best option at this point. Luke had written Isaac to tell him that he was leaving for a little while, though he hadn't heard a response.

He had tried to write Jenna as well, though she words didn't quite flow onto the paper like Luke had hoped. In the end, he had abandoned writing a letter in the hopes that he would think of some words to describe his feeling while out of the country. Maybe some day they could be friends. Luke wasn't entirely sure if that was possible, but he cared about Jenna too much to forget her entirely.

Luke sighed absently. Things were certainly different now. He had never imagined he would turn out like this; leaving his fiance and his home country to travel like he had always wanted to. Luke supposed it was for the best though, it had to be. As he waited for his train, Luke heard the sound of footsteps coming behind him. He didn't turn until the noise was directly behind his bench, but when he did, he was surprised to find...

Isaac was stressed to say the very least, due to Isabelle's latest demands he had been working extraordinarily hard with Demetri in order to get Safira back, but all of their leads were going nowhere. What was really killing him was that he couldn't talk to anyone else about the clues, or Isabelle would kill his pregnant sister. Things were getting really complicated really quickly. What Isaac had not been planning on when selecting a train to clear his mind and think about the clue further was to see Luke there. It was then his frazzled brain recalled the letter he had neglected to reply to. "Hey Luke," Isaac said, knowing that he looked worn out.

Luke was surprised to say the least, and from Isaac's face his best friend was surprised to see him as well. "Hey Isaac," Luke said, sliding over slightly on the bench so that his friend could sit if he wanted to. Isaac looked incredibly tired, even for a vampire, he had to be doing something special for the Order, though Luke knew he probably wasn't allowed to know what it was all about. "What have you been up to recently?" Luke asked. He and Isaac had not spoken in quite some time.

It was all Isaac could do to prevent himself from literally collapsing onto the bench next to his longtime best friend, and instead sit down normally. He was sleep-deprived, he hadn't slept a wink since October. He would have no choice but to sleep for about four hours within the near future, or risk passing out or something, but he felt that he should not allow himself any extra time. Every second that passed was another second wasted on not finding his sister. "Renovating the house," Isaac responded. It wasn't the smartest thing to talk about Safira in that kind of setting, besides, it was common knowledge of his sister's disappearance- it had been in both the Daily Prophet and muggle newspapers.

Luke nodded, though he figured Isaac had to be up to something else as well, otherwise he wouldn't look so tired. Isaac was a vampire after all, and Luke had never seen him looking so tired before. But Luke had heard that his sister had gone missing, so he figured Isaac was desperately trying to find her. The Order hadn't really discussed it though, so Luke didn't know too much about what had happened to Safira. "How's that going?" Luke asked, trying to make a bit of conversation.

"Not very well," said Isaac,shaking his head lightly, "All the leads we're getting are going nowhere- I would discuss, but I was specifically told not to." It didn't matter how hard Luke pushed, best friend or not, Isaac understood the gravity of the situation. Isabelle was a mindless killer, she would drain his pregnant sister of blood without any hesitation. Isaac would have thought that she had done so already, but the villain seemed to enjoy the torment she was causing.

Luke hadn't really been asking about Isaac's search for Safira, but was glad when his friend brought it up as it was obviously bothering him. "I understand," Luke replied, though it was practically killing him not to know what the leads were to see if he could try to help. But things with Isabelle were tricky, she seemed to have spies everywhere, and if Isaac told someone about the clues, Safira could easily end up dead. "Hopefully you'll find her soon," Luke added. He would hate to be in Isaac's position, Isabelle truly knew how to torment people.

"I can only hope so," said Isaac. It worried him incessantly, he would be worried anyways, but it was worse because Safira was four months pregnant. Though he did not agree with her sleeping with Demetri, putting an unborn child into the picture made things a lot more complicated and time-sensitive. Isaac bit his lip, it didn't take a psychiatrist to tell that he had intense problems in his life.

Luke inhaled deeply before letting out a soft sigh. Things were certainly difficult these days and it was clear that Isaac had a lot on his mind. Luke let a couple of minutes pass before he said anything else. "I'm going to travel for a little while, I think," he said vaguely. Luke wanted to get away more than anything else at the moment, he felt as though he was too young to handle everything that was going on in Britain, plus he had always wanted to travel.

"You're going to leave?" Isaac said, almost alarmed. The timing wasn't ideal, while he could understand going away for a little bit, like he and Gabriella had for their honeymoon, how long was Luke talking about? If Isaac knew his friend correctly, it might be a couple of years, not a week or two. "I mean, I won't stop you, but we're needed here, you do know that, right?" asked Isaac. It wasn't the most responsible thing for an Order member to do, just up and leave in the midst of a war.

"Not forever," Luke assured his friend; he didn't want Isaac to think he was going to travel around Europe for the rest of his life. No, that wasn't quite what Luke had in mind. But he certainly wanted to take a break from the craziness of Britain. "Yeah, I know that," Luke replied. "But we're so unorganized, I feel like I'm not helping at all anyway. Perhaps going away for a couple of weeks or so would give me some fresh ideas."

Isaac nodded, relaxing a bit. These days he was perhaps a bit too sensitive to things, he tended to overreact. It had to be all that stress, plus a lack of sleep, getting to him. He had even been contemplating resigning from the team, but he knew that they wouldn't be able to find a replacement beater on such short notice. Isaac didn't want to be the one that ruined the season for Ireland. "Hard to be organized with what we're up against, and with Cici being unfit to head everything," Isaac said, then bit his lip.

"I guess," Luke replied with a shrug. He still felt like the whole system that the Order operated under was confusing. The fact that he had no idea what anyone else was working on frightened Luke. He knew it was for their own safety, but even that seemed unsafe. Luke was quite confused these days. He really did need to get away.

Isaac released his lip from his teeth and instead frowned slightly, lapsing into silence. He briefly contemplated telling Luke of his ex-fiance's pregnancy, but decided against it shortly. Jenna would tell him when she was good and ready, it wasn't up to him to inform Luke. Although Isaac himself would rather know if he had gotten someone pregnant, hearing about Xavier had been quite a shock for him. He felt as if he were stuck between a rock and a hard place- Isaac didn't want his best friend in the dark, nor did he want to betray Jenna's trust.

Luke sat in silence for a couple of minutes, not knowing what else to say. He and Isaac had been best friends for a while now, but sometimes Luke felt like he would never truly know the person sitting next to him. He bit his lip slightly as he thought, but quickly stopped himself. It was one habit he had to break if he was ever to get over Jenna. Luke glanced over at Isaac, who looked as though he was bursting to say something. "Something you wanted to say?" Luke asked him, confused.
