Gabriella chuckled at Angel's comment before carefully stowing her new wand inside her robes. She smiled when her cousin flicked the sign in the window to Closed, perhaps they could have some fun. Gabriella checked her watch; she did have to go back to work in about an hour and half, but she supposed for now she could hang out with Angel. "No, I'm free for a little while," Gabriella replied. "Where would you like to go?"

"I've brought my own lunch from home, I can't exactly afford to eat out every day," said Angel, figuring her cousin wouldn't mind not having to deal with awkwardness of going to a restaurant and not ordering anything except a glass of water. She lead the way to the break room, which was all theirs because she was the only one on shift that day. Not many people came in during November, it was July and August when they saw the most customers. The room was tastefully designed in a Victorian way, the only thing that seemed out of place was her lunch box on the table.

Gabriella nodded, glad she wouldn't have to go out with Angel, as sitting in a restaurant and eating nothing was always rather awkward. She could usually pull it off by ordering water or wine, but Gabriella always found it to be odd. She followed her cousin into the break room, taking a seat on one of the chairs. "How are the twins?" Gabriella asked once Angel had settled herself.

"They're wearing me out," said Angel as she took out her turkey sandwich, apple, and bottle of water, "but they're healthy and developing normally, which is always a good thing." She unwrapped her sandwich and took a bite from it. She actually didn't mind bringing her food from home, it was a pleasant change over restaurant food. Sometimes Angel just wanted something simple, like her turkey sandwich, she didn't need much luxury.

Gabriella nodded, trying to relax in the chair she had chosen. Her body just wasn't used to being anything other than tense, though. "They're very precious," Gabriella said with a smile. She supposed her cousin had to be using the Time-Turner again to keep up with everything. Gabriella had always been somewhat amazed by Angel's capacity to be able to do everything at once.

Angel smiled, she certainly didn't think so when they were screaming at four in the morning, but she wouldn't give them up for all the gold in the world. Motherhood was definitely no laughing matter, especially if you were going it alone. Granted, Angel wasn't entirely alone, as she had a pretty steady relationship with Bradly, but she wouldn't dream of moving in with him this early. She was quite content with taking it slow, things with Wolfgang had been a bit too fast. "How is the house coming along?" asked Angel after swallowing a bite of sandwich, "I've been meaning to visit, but I don't have the most flexible schedule at the moment."

Gabriella smiled slightly at the mention of the house, finally starting to relax a bit. "Don't worry about it," she assured her cousin. It was obvious that Angel had a busy schedule, Gabriella hardly expected her to come see a house in the process of getting redone. "It's coming along well, though. We've got the roof done now, though we have to go slower than Isaac would like because of the muggle neighbors." Gabriella wasn't too concerned about them, though, she got the feeling that they knew that their new neighbors were somewhat different.

"Ah, yes," said Angel after finished what remained of her sandwich, a bit surprised at how quickly she had gone through it. She was still not quite accustomed to not having to eat for three people, but she quite welcomed decreasing her calorie intake- it was hard to eat that volume of food. "Well, I'm sure once you've got the place renovated that it will be quite handsome," said Angel. She wondered what on earth Gabriella and Isaac would do with all that space if it was just the two of them, but decided it wasn't really her business.

Gabriella nodded. The house already was amazing, but it would be even better once it was fixed up a bit. After all, she and Isaac couldn't really have guests over if they feared that someone might step through the flooring. No, they would have to wait to have people over until everything was decorated. "I'm pretty excited about it," Gabriella said. She liked projects like this; growing up she had always lived in the same home, so something new was rather nice.

"As you should be," said Angel smiling after taking a rather large bite out of her red apple. She was slightly jealous, she wasn't allowed to do a ton of decorating around her flat. She was allowed to do curtains, wall-mounted shelves, and wall-hangings, but she couldn't re-do the floors or paint the walls. But she was thankful that she lived in a well-maintained flat, there was always hot water, and everything worked the way it was supposed to work.

Gabriella nodded before falling silent, watching Angel eat. It seemed such an odd thing now to Gabriella, she hadn't even tried eating solid food in a long time, a couple of weeks into her seventh year, she supposed it had been, to make people less suspicious. After that, Gabriella had just avoided the Great Hall in general, or got out of bed really early so she could act like she had already eaten. She didn't really pretend anymore, though, even her colleagues didn't eat much on the job, so it wasn't as big of a deal.
