Everything had been peaceful, everything calm. Vivienne had been quietly playing in her room, drawing her little heart out. Suddenly, the door slammed shut downstairs. She cocked her head slightly, listening. There was one set of footsteps clambering up the stairs. And they were definitely male. Not graceful and light like Isaac's, but large and clunky. And only one person that she knew of had that swagger in his step. Vivienne's heart jumped as she turned to find her father standing in the doorway, smiling menacingly at her. Vivienne, the model of fear, stood up in a panic. Her father was out? Since when? Why had no one told her? So many questions ran through her mind as her father advanced on her.

With a quick wit, Vivienne darted past her father, barely missing his outstretched hands and quickly ran down the stairs. She wasn't sure what her father was attempting to do, but she doubted his intentions were pleasant. She found herself out the door of the manor, running down the street blindly. She wasn't sure who she would run into, or where she would go. But she definitely wasn't staying at that house any longer. Not with Draco inside. A thousand cluttered thoughts ran through her head as she ran along in the night. Suddenly, there was a body in her way. Vivienne fell to the ground with a painful thud, and she peered up to see...

Isaac looked down at his little sister, frowning a bit in sympathy. No doubt he was not the best barrier to run straight into. He had tried to step out of the way, but Vivienne had run at a dead course for him and had adjusted her path every time he attempted to move out of her path. He offered a hand to help her up. "Are you all right?" Isaac asked, not just because she had run into something the equivalent of a granite counter, but she seemed scared out of her mind.

The minute her eyes landed on Isaac, she clung to his strangely hardened legs and let out a sob. With a shaky finger, she pointed towards the house. "Dad's h-home." she answered, her tone deflated and defeated. No one had even bothered to mention her father was loose, and now she was scared and angry. However, she merely cut a sob short, choking it off with a heavy sigh, then released her brother's legs.

Isaac bent down and helped his sister off the ground, feeling rage boiling in the pit of his stomach. It took every last ounce of his self-control to not run back there and kill his father. Under normal circumstances he might have thought Vivienne had lost her sanity, but he could definitely smell trace amounts of Draco on her and in the air. Whatever happened to him being in absolute hiding? Isaac bit his lip lightly, unsure of what he should do.

Vivienne could feel Isaac tense as he evaluated the situation. She hated seeing him like this, so angry. And, from the look on his face, he looked like he could kill. Vivienne shuddered slightly at that thought. The picture of Isaac strangling their father was now forever etched into her mind. Vaguely, she wondered why he wasn't the least bit surprised. Had he known Draco was out? She couldn't believe he wouldn't tell her if he knew. Then again, from her mother's recent behavior, it seemed everyone knew. And no one bothered to tell her? Vivienne felt anger boiling up inside her, but she swallowed it down.

"Come on," said Isaac after a long, tense moment. "The further away we are from him the better." He took Vivienne by the hand, they were going to hide out at Hogwarts for a little while. He could apparate them just outside the gates and then open them with the code used by the Order. "Hold on tightly, I don't want to loose you on the way there." Isaac told his younger sister.

Vivienne did as told without really thinking about the consequences. She hugged Isaac's waist tightly and soon found herself transported, her stomach contracting uncomfortably. Vivienne had Apparated before, but forgot the feeling. She stumbled away as she peered up at the Hogwarts castle. Her heart leaped at the sight. She adored the sight of her future home, where she could finally be away from her parents. Immediately, she knew Isaac's intentions. Here, she would be safe from her father.

Isaac looked down at Vivienne, thankful that he had not splinched her on the way there. Perhaps his anger was a driving force to get them there as safely as possible. But if his younger sister had left part of her behind, he might bot be able to control himself, as her blood was very sweet-smelling. Isaac placed a hand on the gates and ever so quietly whispered; "Fawkes flies with Hedwig." The gates swung open, just widely enough for them to get through them.

Vivienne, her small hand gripping Isaac's hand tightly, followed him inside. The illustrious castle was quite overwhelming, even when empty. Their footsteps echoed across the vacant hallways as they traveled to whatever room in whichever corridor. Finally, anger got the best of her. She took her hand back and stood back, staring at Isaac. She placed her hands on her hips and did her best to look angry. "Why didn't you tell me he was out?" she asked, her voice rising at the end. She realized she sounded more hurt than angry, and she quickly clipped the end of the sentence before she started sounding teary.

Isaac ran a hand through his hair. He had certainly messed up with his siblings yet again. He was still trying to fix the mess with Bellatrix, but everything he did or said seemed to make matters worse. "I thought that you knew," said Isaac. "It was on the front page of the Daily Prophet when he got broken out, and then Mum was running around like crazy trying to find him..." He sighed.

Vivienne knew her brother was being truthful. She sighed heavily, her face softening. "Mum's always acting strange, and she hides the Prophet from me. Now I know why." she replied softly. She folded her arms over her chest, her gaze traveling to the floor. For the school being vacant for a month, the place was incredibly clean... No! Focus Viv. she thought, breaking her train of thought abruptly. She looked up at her brother, who genuinely looked hurt. She frowned and approached her elder brother slowly. Vivienne wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him gently.

Isaac was a bit surprised by Vivienne's hug, but was grateful that she didn't seem too angered by his mess-ups. He returned the hug, glad that he had not messed up with her as he had with Bellatrix. After a moment, he stepped away. "How about I show you the secret passages around here?" said Isaac, his old mischievous grin returning to is lips. This would give Vivienne a huge advantage when she came to Hogwarts this upcoming term.

Vivienne beamed. Isaac knew her well. He had been her guide to the hidden passages in the Manor, but this was a whole new adventure. Still, the nagging feeling that Draco was, indeed, out was ever present in the back of her mind. She quickly shoved that thought away and nodded towards Isaac. She did her best to grin without either hurting him or causing him distress. He had enough to deal with, what with his estranged relationship with Bella and his marriage to Gabby.

"All the ones leading off the grounds have been sealed off," Isaac explained as he led the way down the entrance hall. "But the ones that are left are huge time-savers, this one over here is my favourite." He came to a stone wall tucked behind the entrance to the grand staircase. It was a normal wall, spare for one stone brick that had a chunk missing in the center. "This one will take you to the staircase that goes to the Astronomy tower," said Isaac, pushing on the wall lightly, making it swing open like a door, the passage was mostly empty, except for a ladder.
