Raychel, hands shoved into the pockets of her hooded sweatshirt, walked along the dark streets in front of her apartment building. She wasn't exactly sure what awaited her upstairs, nor did she want to find out. She had gotten aggrivated with Gabriella as of late, for her constant crying about killing a Death Eater. It was rather annoying considering that was barely anything compared to what she had been going through the last few days.
Raychel had a bottle of firewhiskey in her hand, magically charmed to refill whenever it got empty. She had a special supply from the Hog's Head to keep her supplied. She took a swig from the bottle. This was her... What, fifteenth firewhiskey? She lost track after five... Or four. Whatever the case, she was getting heavily sloshy and unsteady. Vampire's had to drink loads to become intoxicated, and she was halfway there.
This was the first time Raychel had resorted to alcohol to clear her mind before. She didn't like the idea of taking drugs and firewhiskey was so... Good. She couldn't describe the giddiness she was having after the umpteenth bottle. And the feeling would just grow. However, the next swig from the bottle caused her to teeter into the building for support. Raychel giggled apnd hiccuped as a familiar face appeared.

Gabriella rounded the corner, walking to the apartment tonight in order to clear her head. She and Raychel hadn't been getting along so well as of late and Gabriella had promised herself not to mention anything about work to her friend. For all she knew, Raychel would be spilling the Order's secrets to Isabelle. Gabriella supposed she was being paranoid; it wasn't Raychel's fault she was Isabelle's minion, but still. Her friend had been acting stranger and stranger.
She paused in front of the building, seeing a figure holding a bottle and grasping the brick for support. "Raychel?" Gabriella said, smelling her friend. The scent of firewhiskey was almost overwhelming, but Gabriella rushed over anyway. "Are you alright?" she asked, holding her hand out to steady Raychel.

Raychel giggled, waving the bottle semi-drunkenly at Gabby. "Hey Gabs! Never bett'r" she replied with a laugh. She took another swig from the bottle. Hiccupping slightly, she pushed off from the wall, tottering a bit. "This tastes amazing Gabs. You should try it sometime" she replied with a small hiccup at the end, puncuating her sentence for her. Her mind was peacefully blank. It was the first time she had felt free in a long time.

Raychel was drunk; that much was obvious to Gabriella. How she had managed to get her hands on that much alcohol, however, was beyond Gabriella's knowledge. Most bartenders cut a person off after five or so. In order to be drunk, Raychel had to have had close to twenty firewhiskey's. She would be in pain in the morning. "I've tried it before, trust me," Gabriella replied. "It isn't so much fun in about an hour. You should probably stop drinking."

Raychel blissfully poured the bottle's contents onto the street, giggling as she went. However, she was also wordlessly casting a spell to stop her supply flow for a while. That way, she could get back to drinking. She tossed the bottle into a nearby dumpster. Enchanting another bottle wouldn't be hard. She grinned. "There." Raychel replied. She still had enough bearings to be aware of what was going on. Other than that however, she was out of it. It was semi-drunkeness that was causing her to stumble and her speech to be slightly slurred, but, best off all, her mind was completely blank.

Gabriella was surprised at how easily Raychel tossed away the bottle, as though she didn't need it in the slightest. Usually drunk people clung to their firewhiskey bottles a bit more. But Raychel probably had a little more of a bearing on reality than the average drunk human. "Want to go upstairs?" Gabriella offered, gesturing toward their apartment building. Raychel was acting so weird that Gabriella didn't really know what to do. She adjusted her workbag on her shoulder while waiting for her friend to reply.

"Of course." Raychel replied, hiccuping slightly. She leaned against Gabby and began staggering her way towards the apartment. Her stagger was like a typical human walk, not the graceful pace she was used to. It was quite annoying, but the perks were worth it. She tried coming up with the reason she had gotten half-drunk in the first place, and only came up with a muddled gray splotch. Life was good. Raychel giggled in delight as they reached the door to their home.

Gabriella pulled out her key and unlocked the door, figuring it would take Raychel a while to find her own in this state. She followed her friend inside the apartment, flicking on one of the lights out of habit more than anything else. "Need anything?" Gabriella asked Raychel, unsure of what to do now.

Raychel's memory was starting to return, which meant her brain would begin to process thought. One of the worst things about being a vampire: you sobered fast. She shook her head, sitting herself upon the couch. It was strange to be back home. She hadn't needed to come home lately, but now she felt guilty about it. No doubt Gabby had at least missed her... right? Now she was starting to get scared for their friendship. This was the first time that they had spoken in a month, and Raychel was starting to regret her decision to run that night she was attacked. If only she would have stayed inside...

Gabriella sat herself on the chair across from the couch, watching Raychel as she sat her bag on the floor. "Um, anything you want to talk about?" Gabriella asked cautiously, unsure if Raychel had started to sober yet or not. Obviously something was wrong, otherwise Raychel wouldn't have consumed that much alcohol.
