The wind moved suddenly, causing Cora's long hair to blow back as she moved toward the graves of her parents. Cora was not the flower type, nor was she there to actually mourn them, she only ever went to see their graves when she was unsure of something. This time it was something big.
Empty-handed, Cora sat before their graves. Side-by-side, Carlotta and Marcus rested in their graves. Cora, for the most part, ignored her father's grave. He had been ignorant and stupid, joining the Death Eaters and then quitting. It was the reason he was dead and the reason she couldn't forgive him. Her mother's grave interested her a bit more. Cora had never known Carlotta, and Bradly rarely mentioned her either. Cora wondered if she was anything like her mother.
Would Carlotta have had blonde Veela hair and the charm that went with it? She must have, as Cora didn't know how else she would have come across the trait. But would Carlotta have had Cora's personality? Her desire for revenge, her cunning mind, her twisted ways? Cora doubted that. Whenever she envisioned her mother, she thought of a strong woman who knew right from wrong. Cora just wished that her mother was still there to let her know what really was right from wrong. Some days she felt as though she had no idea.
Sitting cross-legged in front of her mother's tombstone, Cora remembered the incident in the Dark Forest where she had put the Cruciatus Curse on Dean, torturing him until she dared to stop. She shuddered slightly at the memory. It had been physically painful to cause Dean harm, though he seemed to think that she had intended to do it all along. Dean didn't understand. No one did. Cora was starting to think that no one ever would. Someone tapped her on the shoulder.

Tristan hadn't a clue as to what he was doing in the cemetary. However, when he spotted Cora in front of a pair of graves, he knew. Tristan smiled gently. He came up alongside her and gently patted her on the back. After looking at the names on the graves, he gently wrapped an air around her and rubbed her back gently. He knew about her parents, but only that they were dead. If Cora ever brought it up one day, he would be happy to listen.

Cora looked up to see who it was and was happy to note that it was Tristan who had approached her in the cemetery. She had been nervous it was Bradly, wanting to talk or something. Cora smiled weakly at the boy she was beginning to grow close to. "She died giving birth to Dean and me," Cora stated simply, gesturing toward her mother's grave.

Tristan nodded wordlessly. He merely wrapped his arms completely around Cora and gave her a gentle, compassionate hug. The embrace was warm and genuine, and he rather enjoyed it. Cora was something else, but that something was amazing. He had grown quite attatched to the female, and loved every minute he spent with her. It was a bit strange, but he didn't mind.

Cora allowed Tristan to hug her, somewhat incapable of hugging him back, seeing as she was facing away from the Gryffindor boy. At last he released her and she was able to turn around. "Thanks," Cora said. She had needed the hug, having been feeling quite down the past few days.
((OOC: Yes, but it'll have to be tomorrow, as I must leave after I post this.))

Tristan merely shrugged. It wasn't a big deal. "You looked like you needed it." he finally said. He took Cora's hand gently, stroking the back of it with his thumb. Together they faced the stone monument. He examined it solemnly, wordlessly taking in the female's sorrow. Something was different. The spring in her step, the light in her eyes, all of it, was gone. Not a trace was left. He wasn't about to ask though.

Cora nodded numbly, glancing at her mother's tombstone for a moment before turning her gaze toward the ground. "Sometimes I think I deserve it," she said quietly, absently tugging at the grass beneath her fingertips. Cora felt lost these days. What had happened to her plans of greatness? They had vanished after she had tortured her brother and run with the Death Eaters. There was no escape anymore; maybe she really was a bad person after all. Cora sighed slightly.
