Laura walked into the train station. She didn't have a train to catch of course. She didn't have any money. She just hadn't seen a train to a while and wanted to see one. Their weren't any trains there but she wouldn't mind waiting. She sat down on a bench next to...

Vivienne. She looked over at the girl curiously, not really caring if she got in trouble for staring. She had left the house without her mother's permission. Her mother was having another dramatic episode, where she locked herself in her room and cried, screaming for Draco to come home. Vivienne hated to see her mother so upset. Although her and her parents didn't exactly see eye-to-eye, Viv was a naturally caring individual. She had learned that from Isaac.

She continued to watch the girl with an ever growing curiosity. What was her name? Why was she there? What was she waiting for? So many questions swirled around inside Vivienne's head. It was almost too nauseating to bear. Finally, she had to speak. "Hi. I'm Vivienne Malfoy. What's your name?"

"Laura Colbert" she replied. She knew the last name Malfoy but she didn't say anything about it. Just because she was a Malfoy didn't mean that she was evil and even if she was it would be nice to have someone to talk to.

"Nice to meet you Laura." Vivienne replied with a smile. She turned her attention back towards the empty track. Suddenly, a meow caught her attention. She looked down and saw a scruffy cat with it's face pushed in. She smiled and fished some cat treats out of her coat pocket and held them out on her palms. The cat jumped up onto the bench between the two girls and sniffed the food. It began to take a treat out of her hand one at a time. She smiled.

Laura placed her hand on the cats soft fur and gently stoked it. Her family used to have a cat but it died when she was 9 and she hadn't petted a cat since. She had thought that no one els she knew would ever die. She was sure wrong about that.

Vivienne noticed Laura absentmindedly petting the cat. She smiled as the cat finished the treats. Rubbing her hands together, she gazed out onto the empty track. "What are you waiting for?" she asked randomly. She wasn't usually so curious, but something about Laura made her so. The girl was just so mysterious, it was hard to tell where her thoughts were.

"Nothing" she replied. "I just came here to see a train. What are you waiting for?" She figured that she she must be waiting for a train or something otherwise she would of asked her if she was waiting for anything. At least she thought so.

Vivienne smiled. "Just here to feed Tom here." She replied. Scratching behind the cat's ears, she found she was at peace. Tom purred loudly, a rarity for an old tomcat like him. She laughed as his rear raised, his tail fluffing up in content. She continued to scratch his head gently.

"Oh" she replied. "Hi Tom" she said to the cat. "I didn't know you had a name. I guess you know this cat?"

Then she heard a faint noise. She remembered that sound. It was the sound of a train moving in the distance. She looked towered the tracks but it wasn't there yet. It would be a little while.

"Kind of." Vivienne replied. She stopped scratching Tom's head momentarily. "He's a stray I feed. Gotta have something to do you know." She heard the train in the distance. Viv loved trains. "I've been trying to find a home for him for weeks, but nobody has the heart for him. I would take him, but my mum won't allow it."

"Oh" she replied. "I wish I could take him." She couldn't afford it though. She could barley afford to take care of herself and not vary well. If only her parents were still alive. They would let her keep it. She had no idea why the girls parents wouldn't let her keep it when she could afford to feed it everyday.

Vivienne could see the confusion in Laura's face. Almost everyone she met thought her life was perfect. She had no issue sharing. "My mum is a depressed woman. My father... He is in Azkaban for... Gosh, I don't even remember anymore." She explained.

Laura couldn't understand parents like that. Her parents were always so nice. She missed them. "My parents were really nice" she told her. Now their dead." She tried to hold back tears but slowly they came. It made her feel weak.

Vivienne wished the subject hadn't come up. She laid a comforting hand on Laura's shoulder. She smiled comfortingly. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring that up." she replied softly. She felt awful, but she wanted make sure Laura felt okay before she let her feelings show.

"I-It's fine" she said quickly. She didn't want to make her feel bad. The train engine was growing louder. Laura whipped thew tears off her face with her hand and looked up. The train was almost here.
