Levi felt his throat tighten, death was always an uncomfortable subject for him, like many people, it was a big, terrifying question mark, with more inquires than answers. The very idea of it frightened him. But he felt he was being stupid, it was just the reading of the wills, nothing to be frightened of. "Of course I will," said Levi, gently squeezing her hands in his, to let her know he was there for her.

Raychel smiled. "Thank you." she mumbled. Sleep was overcoming her being yet again. Something about crying always made people drowsy. She took to sleep unwillingly, wanting to be awake longer. Being in Levi's arms was too comforting to fight however, and she was soon overcome with sleep. Her body went limp, and smile brought to her face.

Levi lay there for a while, watching Raychel sleep. After a while, he felt himself beginning to doze. He came out of his not-quite sleep after a short amount of time, his stomach plagued with hunger. Levi cautiously slipped away from Raychel, and then walked over to the table where a piece of parchment and quill had appeared.
Raychel,
Went to get food, be back soon.
~Levi
He placed the note on the cushion beside Raychel's head, figuring that she would see the note when she woke up. Levi made the descent down several flights of stairs to the basement, that was where the kitchens were.

Raychel stretched out, as Levi had done, to fill the available space. She woke a while later, plagued by a nightmare. She sighed heavily, wiping the sweat from her forehead, then saw the note. She picked it up and scanned it quickly. Grinning, she set it back down on the pillow. There was no telling how long Levi had been absent, so all she could do was sit. Raychel felt her hair. It was no longer wet, but was replaced by a mess of tangled curls. A brush popped into her open hand, and she began to gently run it through her long tresses.

Levi came back, levitating a tray filled to the brim with all the foods the house elves in the kitchens had practically forced him to take. He bumped open the door, and it automatically bolted shut behind him. "Oh, you're up," said Levi, setting the tray down on the table. "There's plenty if you're hungry,"

Raychel produced a small glass of ice cold water and surveyed the various foods. She settled on a minuscule amount of a sort of fruit cocktail, with kiwi, strawberries, and any other kind of fruit imaginable. She popped a piece of banana into her mouth and chewed, savoring the taste. She swallowed slowly then smiled gratefully at Levi. "Thank you." she replied. She had been using that phrase quite a lot in the short while they had been with each other, but Raychel in no way felt she was either abusing the term nor over using it. Popping a strawberry into her mouth, she slumped back into the love seat.

"No problem," said Levi, picking up a chicken wing and biting into it. Unlike the traditional male stereotype, Levi was not a messy eater, and even something that was hard to look dignified while consuming, he always managed away to do so. He seldom spilled, and rarely got anything on his face. Levi did not care much for messes or clutter, he had even charmed his schoolbag so everything fit flawlessly and was completely organized, making it much easier for him to find what he needed.

Raychel slowly but surely polished off her food. Taking one last swig of the water, she let out a heavy sigh. She lifted the glass to her forehead an leaned back into the chair, watching Levi.

Levi discarded the neatly eaten-off of bones of the chicken wing on an extra plate that had popped onto the table from nowhere. He noticed that Raychel had stopped eating, and supposed that she wasn't terribly hungry after today's events, but he was famished. Levi continued eating until at long last he was satisfied, after several more chicken wings, some bread, and some of the fruit.

Raychel watched Levi eat. The cup resting against her skull was soothing for the headache being produced. Her eyes closed, but she did not slumber. Instead, she thought. Thinking soothed her, gave her life purpose.

Levi looked over to the corner of the room, where a small, upright piano sat. He had learned to play a long time ago, his mother had taught him, since he had watched so intently every time she had sat down to press the keys. He seldom practiced anymore, but the music never left his mind, like riding a bicycle. Levi got up and seated himself on the bench, Levi absently played, the sound coming from the simple piano sounding rich in the room.

Raychel looked up at set the water down. She had heard that song before. Where, she did not know, but, she knew it from someplace, some time in her life. She walked over to Levi and sat down beside him. Her hands rested on a set of keys, and she too, began to play. They played together, in rhythm with the keys. She closed her eyes, allowing the song to engulf her, wrapping it's lovely notes around her head. Raychel swayed in time with the melody, remembering the notes with ease. Then she remembered. Her mother had taught her this. Instead of breaking down about it, she just smiled. Putting her joy and sadness, the perfect paradox, into the song, she leaked out her heart.

When the song reached its conclusion, Levi rested his fingers on the keys, but not putting enough pressure to make another note come from the piano. He looked over at Raychel, even in her time of mourning she was still angelic in appearance, just absolutely beautiful. "I didn't know that you played," said Levi, keeping his mind off the subject, in hopes that it would keep Raychel's away from it. It pained him to see her upset, and knowing there was nothing he could do to fix it.

Raychel played a soft, simple melody on the piano, using only one hand. "Yes, I do. Not much now. My mother taught me how." she replied. Surprisingly, her voice did not crack with the mention of her mother. Shifting around in her seat, she looked over at Levi. Without a word, she slid over next to him, placing her hands atop his. The added weight pushed his hands down, causing a soft noise on the keys.

Levi was not used to having someone sitting so close to him. He usually sat by himself at the end of the Ravenclaw table during meals, and teachers that had seating charts usually put him in the back, since they didn't have to worry about him goofing off. "Same with my mum," said Levi. "She said when I was little I would watch her with such fascination playing that she insisted I learn how to."
