Raychel ran a finger over the keys. No sound emitted from the piano. "Music is a beautiful, mysterious thing. No wonder we were both fascinated enough to learn it." She replied softly. She looked up and met Levi's gaze.

"True enough," said Levi, for once looking Raychel directly in the eye. He did not have enough self-confidence to maintain eye-contact for terribly long, opting to instead look to the floor, an empty patch of wall, or his feet. Levi had always been withdrawn and terribly awkward, he could not recall ever being comfortable with anyone, or even himself for that matter. Now was no exception to this long-standing rule.

Raychel met his gaze directly for the first time. She smiled bashfully, looking down at her feet. She remained silent, not knowing what to say. Her mourning period for the moment was over, and she was at peace... for the moment. Raychel ran her hand along the piano, until her hand met Levi's.

Levi adjusted the position of his hand so he could hold Raychel's in his own. He also found his gaze traveling more toward the floor, and to his shoes. Since he was not required to wear his uniform at that time, Levi had opted for forest green Converse. Raychel's hand was warm, and he supposed his was cold as ice, his hands were always cold.

Indeed, Levi's hand was as cold as ice. She didn't care. She lay her head on his shoulder, sighing gently. Nothing could have ruined this moment, if she weren't thinking about her parents. The funerals could be planned at anytime, since the wizarding world would have prevented the bodies from decaying until then. She wanted to have the funeral in June. It was her parent's favorite time of year, and the month in which they had been married nearly twenty years ago. She smiled faintly, remembering how happy her parent's had been last time she had seen them. Closing her eyes, she saved the snapshot in her head. She wanted to remember them in this way.

Levi gently rubbed his thumb up and down the back of Raychel's hand, he did this without thinking. For once in his life, his mind had gone blissfully blank, no plethora of thought bombarding his brain all at once, just simplistic silence. It was calming, and only then did Levi realize that Raychel was the only person that he knew that he would want to share this with. Being around her just felt so right to him.

As Levi ran his thumb across her hand, a spark seemingly coarsed through her. Raychel's eyes flew open. She looked over the Levi, meeting his gaze curiously. It felt like a small shock of electricity, but was wonderful, pleasant. She smiled weakly at him, realizing how much she truly liked him. She mentally paused. Could this possibly be the love Angel had mentioned?

[bockquote] Levi raised his eyebrows, the way that Raychel was looking at him seemed to him that she wanted to say something, or ask a question of him. "What?" asked Levi, curious about her expression, wanting to hear what she wanted to say. He was acting unusually calm, his breathing slow and deep, but in reality, his heart was hammering a violent tattoo against his Adam's apple. [/blockquote]

Raychel smiled awkwardly. For a response, her hands slowly came up to his face. She blushed and leaned forward, her lips meeting his. She slowly kissed him, being soft and gentle. She didn't know why she didn't answer his question. Maybe this way her message came across more affectionately, not strangely. Her blush was growing, but she ignored it.

Levi returned the kiss, more than welcoming it. He didn't see the need to be super passionate, just soft and gentle. To him, Raychel seemed so tough, but delicate and fragile at the same time. It was hard to explain. Levi didn't want to try anything just then, Raychel had just had the bad day to end all bad days, and he did not want to make it any worse for her.

Raychel smiled through the kiss. She pulled herslef closer to him, but only as close as he wanted. In a way, this was a way to block the pain. By filling her empty soul with as much love, she could forget the pain. She broke the kiss momentarily, but only pulled away an inch. Cocking her head, she opened her eyes slightly, smiling bashfully.

Levi too smiled, a small grin, but a smile all the same. He had the strongest desire to kiss Raychel again, but figured that he would let her make the move, being far too cautious, and not wanting to spoil their moment. Levi put his fingers to the keys and began to play again. This time a Beethoven song, Moonlight Sonata. Piano was his only instrument, but he knew it well. Levi had read that Moonlight Sonata was the most perfect piece ever written, as in tempo and notes. Everything fit together flawlessly, and just then, Levi had a hard time disagreeing with it.

Raychel wrapped her arms around Levi's waist, pulling herself close. She laid her head on his shoulder, listening to the beautiful song. She closed her eyes and let the soft melody encircle her mind. After a few minutes, the song was finished. She had no idea how long the song actually was, but she didn't care. She placed her hand on Levi's cheekbone, caressing him gently.

Now done playing, the rather uncomfortable piano bench melted into a second love seat, and the piano moved itself backward a few feet so Levi could stretch his legs out. He looked down at Raychel, her soft touch on his face surprisingly soothing to his soul. He had never felt this way about anyone before, it was a foreign thing to him, but thrilling, and fulfilling. This was an adventure, in spite of the fact that they were just sitting together in comfortable silence.

Raychel laid her hands on his chest and pushed herself to a more comfortable position. She reached up and her lips met his once more. She didn't know why she did this, but she did. Raychel wrapped her arms around Levi, pulling herself as close as she would let herself get. Deepening the kiss, she felt her heart hammer against her chest. The sensation was extremely welcoming, and the most powerful thing she had ever felt. Raychel's saddness melted away momentarily, and joy took it's place.
