Isaac wrote slowly, thinking as hard as he could about expanding his writing to make it the two paragraph requirement. He had already stretched several sentences to their breaking points. They had had essays required to be three scrolls of parchment before, why was this so difficult? Isaac stopped writing a moment, twirling his quill between his fingers. Yes, he was stuck at this point.

Finishing her third paragraph, Gabriella was starting to wonder if she had written to much. Shaking her head at the nonsense of that, she plowed forward into a fourth paragraph on the mini-essay, hoping she would finish it in time. She would need at least this paragraph to wrap up her ideas, perhaps another. Essays just weren't meant to be two paragraphs. At least the rest of her charms exam was finished, except for the practical. Gabriella wasn't overly concerned, though she was a bit nervous about the cheering charm. Last time she had overdone that a bit.

Jenna positively loved charms, as she was loving them even more after she had produced a cheering charm that had not only cheered up a rather sick looking dog, but had some effect on herself as well. Smiling, she listened as the instructor told her what charm to perform next. She hadn't bitten her lip this whole exam; even Jenna herself was amazed.

Luke bit his lip slightly and then produced a non-verbal cheering charm on a sad-looking mouse. The mouse's eyes widened and it perked up and scurried out of the instructors hands, much to Luke's amusement. He knew his friend, Isaac, would have laughed at that. Maybe it was just the charm, but Luke was suddenly feeling happier as well.

Hiroku had no trouble writing a three paragraph essay and moved on to the last part of the theory test. This was probably the first test she felt alright about, as Charms was one of her favorite subjects. The rest of her exams hadn't been quite as good. But in this practical, Hiroku was pretty sure she had aced it. Finally.

Alec was feeling extremely stupid at the moment, as his fourth year girlfriend could probably do better on this charms exam than he was going to. Alec was pretty sure he had just failed the practical, and didn't have a good feeling about the theory test, considering he had skipped the first five questions. Well, he had never expected to get a bunch of NEWTs anyways.
