Raychel cautiously stepped into the Great Hall, peering inside. She took a deep breath before striding in. She got curious looks from some, astonished looks from others. She could feel the blush rising underneath her skin, but she didn't let it show. She quickly made sure every hair was up in its bun before continuing. She stepped off to the side, watching the party-goers twirl and dance with their partners, sharing looks of love. Raychel looked down at her feet.

Every time she saw a happy couple, she grew envious. The only exception was the engaged couple of her friends Isaac and Gabby. She thought of Jack often, but tried not to think of their time together. It never worked. She took another, relaxing deep breath, but jumped by someone tapping her on the shoulder It was...

Alec had spotted a rather pretty girl from across the room, while he was waiting for Azzurra to show up. Sure they were supposed to meet outside, but he really didn't want to stand out there looking like an idiot. So he had tapped the girl in the red dress on the shoulder. Raychel turned to see a handsome Gryffindor tapping her on the shoulder. His smile nearly made her topple over. She composed herself quickly, for she was not the type of girl to be swooning over someone. She smiled back, somewhat flirtatiously. "Thank you." she held out her hand to him. "I'm Raychel." she replied softly. Raychel wasn't normally one to flirt with people, but this boy was incredibly handsome. She just couldn't resist.
