Taking You Away (Cora/Dean)

Quidditch season had started back up and it was going to be a good season, he could feel it in his bones. He had to go away for four days. Leaving tonight and returning monday, due to a priliminary rounds. Like last season ever now and then he'd show up at Hogwarts to get his two siblings and taken them out of school for the weekend. Which meant they got to miss half their friday classes and a few of their monday classes. He had it approved when he had first became ap rofeissionalquidditch player. It was important that his siblings got to spend some time away, like a small vacation with him to keep hold of that family bond. After all to watch something so horrible happen and for the twins not to even have known their mom, he knew that little outings and such would keep their family together. Though part of the arrangement was that the twins would have to do a bit of homework on their trip. Not much homework, and it was all open book. If planned right they could probably get it done all tonight or do a little each night before bed. He stood there in the Entrance Hall waiting for his siblings, after all it was time for lunch here at Hogwarts and he figured he could just catch them as they walked towards the great hall to tell them they were leaving a day earlier. Hed probably allow them to stay monday at their flat in London. He knew they probably didn't understand all of the things he did for them, but it was fine. They were young teens and needed not to worry about such things.

Time had never seemed to pass so slowly for Dean. For once, his mind wandered during classes to what next year would bring. He had gotten a letter from Cici at breakfast, asking if he wanted to be promoted from Reserve player to Captain and Seeker for the Ravenclaw team, since Angel Potter had dropped out. Dean had happily accepted. It was too bad that they didn't have Quidditch this term. Dean looked up from his shoes as he walked to the Great Hall and saw Bradly. He grinned at the sight of his older brother, and walked to him. "Hey Bradly," said Dean.

"Hey. .get something packed.. checking you and Cora out of school for a few days. We are going to Ky Island for the preliminary round.." He as a Professional Quidditch player had to go and it was a perfect oppurtunity to check his siblings out fo school . Which he has done randomly, depending on his schedule. The head of Hogwarts knew their situation and agreed that it might help, especially Cora. " We are leaving once Cora greets me and then gets her things. Transportation is all ready."

Dean grinned at the mention of getting to leave Hogwarts for a few days. Cici was so cool, allowing him and Cora to leave campus when Bradly had preliminaries, and sometimes for important games. He loved his older brother, and while he and Cora sometimes butted heads, he loved her too. "I'll go grab my trunk," said Dean with a nod. The entire trip took him about fifteen minutes, the Ravenclaw tower was pretty far from the Entrance Hall. When Dean returned, he was dragging his trunk behind him. He had enchanted it to be feather-light in spite of all of his books.

He stood there waiting for his brother at the same time looking around for his sister. Still no sign of her. When Dean came back with his drunk he smirked. "you know.. it's only four days.. a pillow case with maybe four outfits would do.. Two, three pairs of jeans and maybe something nice... banquets or going out to eat at night. " He paused nd looked around for his sister once more. " I expect Cora is going to want something new to wear.. so once we get to the Island we will go shopping. " He smirked as he folded his arms and leaned against the wall. "If I had it my way.. we'd go to a thrift store." He did what he could to get on his sisters good side and yet have authority over her. After all he did have custody of the twins. "since your here and she's not you get the choice this time.. whether we leave today or early early morning tomorrow."

Dean grinned at the mention of Bradly rather going to a thrift store. He had to concur with that, thrift stores had some pretty cool stuff if you were willing to sift through the masses of junk for a little while. Besides, it was cheaper. Not that they were poor, Bradly was a professional Quidditch player, but who needed to live high-end? Dean was comfortable where he was. "How about today?" said Dean. "I'll get to postpone a potions test,"

Cora walked to the Entrance Hall, ready to slip quietly into a seat at the Slytherin table and eat some lunch, but she was in for a shock. Her two brothers were standing there, as if waiting for her. "Hi," she said, raising her eyebrows. Cora supposed Bradly was taking them somewhere, considering Dean already had his trunk. "We going somewhere?"

He smiled towards his brother "Well we are leaving now, no matter what. Whether we go to the flat and sleep then wake up really early.. or leave tonight and wake up in a hotel room.. is the only difference." He then heard a very faint female voice and wit hthat he smiled and moved over to hug his sister. "Hey you.. go pack some things. I'm taking you two away for four days. It's preliminary rounds, this year on an Island." He paused for a split second :"Oh, make sure you pack a few evening outfits and we'll go shopping for a new gown for you to wear to the banquet."

Cora hugged her brother back and then listened intently. He was about the only person she really listened too. At least now Dean's trunk was explained. "Alright, I'll be back," she said, leaving the way she had come and hurrying down to the Slytherin dorms. Giving the password she entered and rushed over to her dorms. Cora grabbed two dressier outfits and three casual ones, figuring she could get away with her school robes for the rest of today. Then she threw in some shoes and a book at random. Finally, Cora grabbed a bit of her homework, since doing it was part of the deal with her and Dean leaving school. Levitating the trunk, Cora came back up to the entrance.

"Alright.. next order of news. Homework wise.. Obviously.. you both know the rules about homework during out little trips. I am assuming towards the beginning of this week, your teachers each gave you a page of open book questions to answer dealing with the subject you will miss by not being in that class." This trip unlike some of their others in the past was a weekend. So they would only really miss the rest of todays and mondays classes if he decided to "make the tournament go on longer" which in reality meant the last day they'd just be at the flat, but that was dependingo n their behavior while on the island.

Cora groaned at the thought of those worksheets. She was missing potions, which was bound to be torture for homework, as well as Transfiguration and History of Magic. And if Bradly kept them on Monday as well, she would have to make up Herbology, Divination, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Charms. Sure the trips were fun, but they seemed to come at a high price of makeup work. "Yeah, I've got everything," Cora replied.

"Alright then.. will grab food on the train to the airport." He gave a warm smile and looked at his siblings. He then lead them towards the door to the grounds. As a former student, he had wished s he had someone to that would be able to get him out of school for a few days. He sighed and a thought about getting something for the girl that lived in the next flat to theirs something while they were gone was on his mind. Maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't.
