Face Your Fears (Angel/Gabriella)

Emily tightened up her cloak. It had snowed again last night, it came up to her mid calves, so it made walking slow,but Emily knew she had to do this. Ever since December, she had been afraid of returning to this spot. Two months ago, right here, was where she had gotten raped. She stopped. The tracks of the school train were presently covered in snow, but Emily knew the area well enough to get a general idea of where they were. It felt as if her internal organs had turned to lead, weighing her down on the exact spot that she had been stunned at two months ago. She looked around, but the area was empty.

It felt as if she were the last person alive. It was so quiet, the only noise being her quiet breathing. The memories of that evening flashed before her closed eyelids. Emily clenched her fists, feeling the anger build up within her, she felt ready to explode, and then... The feeling was gone. Emily gave forth a small smile. "I will not hold this against you anymore," said Emily. "You made a mistake, everyone does. I will not allow it to rule my life anymore." She was unafraid.

Gabriella heard the whispered words, like the wind ringing in her ears from not too far away. She found the main path and headed for Emily, knowing her sister had to do this, face her fears at the traintracks where her life had changed so dramatically. Gabriella remembered that night, crystal clear, just like everything else. There hadn't been many words, but the feeling still crept into her stomach sometimes.

"Emily," Gabriella said quietly while she was still a little bit away. She didn't want to scare her sister, though she had a feeling she would anyway. Well, she was going to try not to scare her too badly. Gabriella came closer, wanting to wrap her arms around her younger sister, hold her close for a while.

Emily turned her head in order to look over her shoulder. She smiled at Gabriella, and for the first time since she had gotten attacked, it didn't feel awkward or unnatural on her lips. "I'm not afraid anymore." said Emily, she meant it now too. Just an odd sort of feeling that was slowly dulling the pain of the past, while never truly making it go away... Emily hugged her sister.

Gabriella hugged her very gently, though it was fairly tight for any human. She always felt like she was going to break someone, she hated that about being a vampire. It was very annoying, actually. "Good Emily," she replied. "No one can ever keep you captive." She meant it, too. Emily was so strong, so bright. Gabriella's sister could do anything.

Emily was now feeling a bit awkward, since she still towered over Gabriella. The only person whom she could hug without feeling that way was her twin brother, Blaize, or perhaps her father. But Emily doubted that she had received a hug from him since she was about nine... Emily let go of her older sister. She felt so good, she wanted to go back to Honeyduke's and ask for her job back. At the moment, Emily was on top of the world.

Gabriella released her younger sister as well and smiled at her for a moment. "How do you feel?" she asked with another smile. It seemed like a miracle that Emily was no longer afraid of this place. And the fact that her sister was actually smiling was like seeing the sun after months of rain. Amazing.

Emily pondered this a moment. Words weren't really enough to describe how she was feeling at the moment. What could she possibly say to convey the immense burden that had suddenly been lifted from her shoulders? "Like nothing in the whole damn world can stop me." said Emily.

Gabriella grinned, her smile wider than it had been in a long time. "Good," she said firmly. It seemed like a ton of pain had been lifted from Emily's shoulders, and Gabriella almost expected her to start twirling around in the breeze. But that would just be a little weird.

Emily emitted a deep sigh. Not a heavy, burdened one. But now, it was light and peaceful. Emily could do anything now. That man no longer held anything over her, she would not allow him to ruin her life any longer. But the question was; What now? She had lost over two months of her life to depression, two months that she was never going to get back...

Emily emitted a peaceful sigh, it felt as if a heavy load had been taken from her shoulders. She no longer needed to feel worried about it, this was the best feeling in the world- Suddenly, the feeling was gone. She had lost all of her feelings... Emily crumpled to the ground, unconscious, vulnerable at the exact spot once again.

Isabelle grinned, the appeared from nowhere and instantly snatched up the unconscious form of Emily and held her with one arm, and held her wand at her throat with the other. Her mask was on firmly, covering her face. "Now, you must obey every word that I say, or you might find your sister dead sooner than you expected." said Isabelle, non-verbally putting up a spell shield around herself and Emily.

Gabriella reached out to catch her sister, but suddenly Isabelle was there, threatening Emily's life and demanding that Gabriella do what she said. Sure Isabelle was wearing a mask, but Gabriella would recognize her scent anywhere. "What do you want, Isabelle?" Gabriella asked through gritted teeth, thinking of various ways she could attack without harming Emily.

Raising her eyebrows behind the mask, Isabelle was bewildered that Gabriella could be that stupid... She had been foolish to think that the girl was clever. Isabelle tightened her grip on Emily. "You know what I want," Isabelle snapped. "Bring me the Potter girl. The older one." She pressed her wand into Emily's neck, willing to kill her an instant to get what she required.

"As if I know where she is," Gabriella replied, planning a series of attacks, all of which she didn't actually think she would pull off. "You know she left school." As she spoke, a stone collided with Isabelle's head, courtesy of Gabriella's telekinesis. At the same time, she lunged for the other vampire, grabbing Emily in one swift motion.
