"Keep going," Gabriella decided as an even faster song started next. Good, Gabriella felt like moving a bit faster now that she and Isaac could go pretty much as fast as they wanted. This was the part Gabriella liked about being a vampire.

"All right, Gabby," said Isaac, continuing to dance to the now much faster tune. Now, the other couples at the ball weren't quite as shy, so they began to slowly seep onto the floor. They had to share now. No matter, Isaac could go on forever, without the need for more space or energy.

Gabriella smiled at the sight of a few other couples coming onto the dance floor. It was still far from full, but at least they weren't the only ones dancing anymore. Perhaps it was the faster tune that caught everyone's attention.

Isaac smiled slightly, he wasn't tired. He wasn't used to this, he had never been much of one for dancing, he had just gone onto the floor for a few songs before since Gabriella liked to. But, Isaac found he rather enjoyed dancing now. It was so easy, almost effortless.

Gabriella's dance steps were faster than ever before, and it just made her happier. She had been good before, but now no one could even come close, she was too damn fast. "Isaac, I love dancing with you," Gabriella said with a grin.

"And I with you," said Isaac, also smiling. The only girl in the world was Gabriella. Nobody else mattered to him. It was incredibly easy being around her, nothing like the week before he had first asked her out on a date, he was almost laughable then. Well, at least looking back on those memories were. Isaac had always been able to handle awkward situations somewhat better than others his age.

Gabriella smiled back for a moment and then glanced down at their feet, going just a little too fast across the dance floor. This was easy, being with Isaac was easy too. Gabriella loved every minute of it, and would hate when this night ended.

[[OOC: I'm getting a little bored describing this dancing the whole time, any ideas on what else to do before the clock strikes twelve?]]

Isaac smiled as the song ended and another, more slow tune started to play. Apparently, they were not popular songs with the students that had decided to remain at Hogwarts for the holidays, for the dance floor promptly emptied once more, except for Gabriella and Isaac and another couple. Judging by the expressions on their faces, they seemed daunted about sharing the floor with them. No matter, Isaac didn't care.

[OOC: I was thinking the same thing. How about we speed forward?]

It seemed like a million more dances went by before the clock was striking midnight and the band was taking a break. Gabriella stepped off the floor with Isaac, wondering what to do next. She remembered every single dance, though there were many, and she could picture each pair of people as they stepped on and off the dance floor, wary of the dancing vampires.

Isaac observed the clock, the dance was going to be over at twelve thirty, he needed to ask before then. "Would you care to go on a walk?" Isaac asked, thoughts straying back to the little black velvet box in his pocket once more. The inside was lined with silk. It was white, making the gold ring stand out against it clearly.

"I'd love to," Gabriella replied, her thoughts going to her own box in her lone pocket. It was Isaac's Christmas present, a magical watch that not only told the time, but it was also like the old Weasley clock. Gabriella let Isaac lead her out of the ballroom, not glancing back. They walked over to the garden in silence, and Gabriella wondered why he was so quiet now. "I have a present for you," Gabriella said as they reached the garden. She grabbed the box out of her pocket and it grew in her hand to normal size. She handed it to him.

Curious, Isaac cracked open the box and saw the watch. It was truly a piece of work, he rather liked it. He removed it from the box and placed it around his wrist, it magically adjusted itself to fit. He smiled. "Thanks babe," said Isaac. "I like it a lot." And he wasn't just saying that. He knew that this was the moment. Isaac lowered himself down on one knee, took both of Gabriella's hands in one of his, looking into her eyes. If he were still a human, his heart rate would probably be soaring, and it would be one of the few times he wouldn't be able to handle his nerves smoothly. "Gabriella," Isaac began. "I really love you, more than anything. You're the only person I have truly loved, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" He pulled out the box from his pocket and opened it with his free hand, revealing the ring. Please, please don't say "no," thought Isaac.

A sharp intake of unnecessary breath came from Gabriella as she heard the question and saw the beautiful ring in the case that Isaac was holding. Gabriella squeezed Isaac's hand as a soft grin came to her face. If she was human, she would be bawling by now. "Yes!" Gabriella exclaimed, still grinning.

Isaac smiled as he carefully removed the ring from the box and slid it onto Gabriella's left index finger. He straightened up and stuck the box back into his pocket. He felt like emitting a huge sigh of relief, but held it in, he didn't want to seem that he was too nervous. She had said yes! If his heart were still beating, it would probably be beating faster than a humming bird's wings. "You're not going to be "Miss Weasley" for much longer," Isaac said softly, then leaned in and lightly kissed Gabriella on the lips.

Gabriella took a quick glance down at the ring on her finger as they broke apart. It was really quite stunning, she was proud that Isaac had chosen it. She looked back up into his eyes. "Thank God," Gabriella said with another smile. It would be weird to have a new last name, but perhaps it would just be another adventure.
