Isaac chuckled, Gabriella would have a lot to become adjusted to in becoming a Malfoy. The money, the behaviour expectations... His mother had become most reluctant to let Isaac go after his father had been sent to Azkaban, she seemed to be a whole new woman, kind and caring instead of cold and shrewd. It was strange, and it sort of frightened him. Isaac took one of Gabriella's hands in his and gave it a gentle squeeze, looking deep into her eyes.

Gabriella still felt a bit like she was in a dream. She kept glancing down at the ring on her finger in awe and then back at Isaac, whom she was no engaged to. It was all to good to be true. There was only one problem. She had to tell her parents.

"There's just one thing," said Isaac, frowning just a bit. "I promised my mum that if you agreed that we would spend a day or two with her, if that's all right. It shouldn't be too bad, though. Mum's a whole new person since my father got sent to Azkaban." Hopefully this wouldn't seem like too much, but Pansy was overbearing now. Perhaps she was searching for the tiniest shred of Draco in her son. Isaac knew he would disappoint her on that, he wasn't like his father at all, unless you were counting appearances, unfortunately, he was the spitting image of Draco on that.

Gabriella crinkled her nose a little bit at the thought of spending a day with Isaac's mother. She had met Pansy before, despite the fact that Isaac's mom knew nothing of that. Gabriella had looked completely different then. "Alright," Gabriella replied, deciding to make the best of this. "You'll probably have to meet my parents too, but I'll talk to my mom first, not my dad."

Isaac nodded, feeling his stomach slip a few notches. He hadn't asked for Gabriella's hand prior to proposing. He wasn't sure how they were going to react to that. But, they were both of age, they didn't have to listen to their parents anymore. What was the worst Hermione and Ronald could do? Disown her? Gabriella was going to be a Malfoy now, neither of them would ever have to work another day of their lives... "Sounds like a good idea," said Isaac.

"Yes, my dad will go ballistic when he finds out," Gabriella replied with a sly smile at this. "You should've heard him when he found out we were just casually dating." Gabriella could still remember that, though those days were getting fuzzier in her memory.

"Emily told me something about that," Isaac said, wanting to frown, but couldn't help but smile just a little bit. "My father sent a Howler when word got to him..." He made a sudden realization, he would be connected with Harry Potter through this, since he had married Ginerva, who was Gabriella's aunt... Strange, this was going to be all messed up. But in a very distant way, he was connected to the Weasleys already, since almost all pureblood families were connected in some manner. Odd. "Do you realize that your uncle, Harry, is going to be related to my dad now?" Isaac said, resisting the urge to laugh.

"Well not really," Gabriella replied, remembering her mom telling her exactly how people were related, or trying to at least. "Your dad will be related to you, who will be related to my Uncle Harry. Hey, you'll be Angel's cousin too!" Gabriella chuckled slightly.

"I guess I'll get a bigger family, then," said Isaac, grinning. This was getting complicated, it was sort of a lot to think about. But there was one thing he was sure of, he would much rather be related to the Weasleys rather than being a Malfoy. It was an empty lifestyle, no substance whatsoever.

Gabriella laughed for a moment and then smiled back at Isaac. "Yes, we do have a rather large family, and it's still expanding," she replied. Gabriella's thoughts went to her Uncle Percy, who was getting re-married this summer. There would be another addition to the Weasley clan.

"If we don't watch out there could be something of a Weasley sub-species," Isaac said teasingly with a chuckle. He could see it now, a textbook page about the varying races of humans, Caucasian, Blacks, Natives, Asians, Pacific Islanders, and Weasley. It was funny to think about.

Gabriella burst into laughter at this latest comical statement from Isaac. She could see it too, the whole Weasley family becoming one giant race, just like the rest of them. "That would be very interesting," Gabriella replied with a grin.

Isaac chuckled appreciatively, but his laugh was meager compared to Gabriella's. It was interesting to think about he supposed. "Indeed," said Isaac. But he didn't really want to think about it that much. His father was going to have a fit when he was released from Azkaban.

Gabriella's smile faded a bit as Isaac's did as well. Then her body tensed, her every sense on alert. Someone else was in the garden, and they didn't seem too friendly. "Someone's here," Gabriella said so quietly that only Isaac would possibly be able to hear it.

Isaac's eyes darted around, the steely gray was slowly getting fleck of black poking through, a sure sign that something, or someone, unwelcome was in their midst. Isaac closed his eyes as he drew his wand, smelling the air, trying to pinpoint where the person was. "I know," Isaac said, pointing his wand in direction of some bushes. "STUPEFY!"
