Isaac had been hunting in the forest, after drinking from one of those giant spiders, he was satisfied. Smelling the air, he picked up on a scent. Angel was back. He grinned, it had been a long while since he had seen her. He ran to catch up to Gabriella and Angel, still wearing a smile. "Surprise," Isaac said.

Angel jumped, but she figured that Gabriella had known all along. She whipped around, heart beating relatively fast, but she was now grinning widely. "Oh, come here," said Angel, then gave Isaac a hug. His embrace was now cold, as Gabriella's was, but he was still one of her best friends. She let go, worry about the Death Eaters momentarily gone.

"Hey Isaac," Gabriella said with a grin, glad he had revealed himself. Angel had jumped straight up, in sort of a comical way in which only Angel could pull off. It was nice to see once in a while. "What brings you outside?" Gabriella asked, then noticed his eyes, glowing a bright gold. Hunting, of course.

Isaac couldn't stop smiling, but at that moment, a strange smell met his nose. It was coming from Angel. It sort of smelled like Wolfgang, but at the same time, it didn't. Perhaps he just needed to readjust to Angel's smell, she had been gone a long while... "I was hungry," said Isaac with a slight smirk and a wink. "How was France, Angie?"

Angel couldn't stop smiling, it was great. She was now with two of her best friends in the world. If Wolfgang were here, it would be complete. But he had a tournament to compete in. She was proud of him. Although she incessantly worried, she wanted him to win. "It was wonderful," said Angel.

Gabriella grinned, loving the sound of Angel talking about France. She still couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with Angel, though. She tried to push the thoughts away and concentrated on the fact that she was with her most favorite people. "Did you go to the Yule Ball then?" Gabriella asked.

Angel nodded, that had been a splendid evening. Every detail was still fresh in her mind... That was the night... Angel was ashamed to admit it. she couldn't believe what she had done, but it had felt so good... "Yes, it was marvelous, except for the first dance. All the champions were supposed to open up, but only Wolfgang and I were there." Angel said, smile turning into a bit of a frown.

Gabriella raised her eyebrows at this, wondering how only one of the champions could turn up for the Yule Ball's first dance. "Did you see them there, later?" Gabriella asked, wondering if they had bothered to show up at all. It seemed rather rude of them.

Angel thought a moment, her memories of that night consisted primarily of Wolfgang and the train wreck of an opening dance. Everyone was staring at them the whole time. "Alayna Clare, one of the Beauxbatons champions turned up, but her date never arrived. Ryan didn't go either." said Angel. Or at least, she had not seen him there.

Gabriella was a little bit startled by this. After all, there was word that Ryan had not attended the first task either. Was he backing out of the Tournament? Was he sick? And what about Jasmine, wasn't she supposed to go to the ball? "So no Jazz, either?" Gabriella asked.

Angel shook her head, she had not seen Jasmine there. But then again, she and Wolfgang had left early and done... Certain things... Angel was still ashamed about it, but only she and Wolfgang knew... "I didn't see her there," said Angel. "But she might have turned up and I just didn't notice, there were a lot of people there."

Isaac raised his eyebrows, that was certainly strange, almost unheard of. It was customary for the champions and their partners to open up the ball, and yet, only Wolfgang and Angel had turned up. "Queer," said Isaac. He frowned a moment, this was all too strange.

"Yeah, queer," Gabriella replied, trying to think of a reason why two champions wouldn't show up, and some girl's date. "Hey, who was that other girl's date?" Gabriella asked. Four people missing seemed rather like a lot of people.

Angel bit her lip a moment in thought. She had talked to Alayna once, but they didn't really discuss much. Angel had heard that her date was the other Beauxbatons champion, Drake Brody, but that seemed weird. Perhaps they did have a thing... "I don't know, I heard a rumour that her partner was supposed to be the other Beauxbatons champion, but I'm not sure." said Angel.

That made it three people then, if two champions were going together. Yes, there had been some sort of an article about that too in France's newspaper. "That's a little weird, isn't it?" Gabriella replied, though mostly to herself. Why would the Goblet pick two people who were dating?
