Happy Bloody Christmas (Gabriella/Isaac)

"You don't think I know that?" Emily cried out in frustration, blinking back tears. "It's gone too far, it's not that I don't want to stop. I want to. But I can't do it." A few tears slipped out, Emily hated it when she had to go to others for help with her problems. She wanted to be independent, but she couldn't anymore.

Oh, well that complicated things a little bit for Gabriella. She actually hadn't been expecting that response from her sister. Great, now what? "Um, next time you want to cut yourself, then," Gabriella replied, her mind working fast to try to come up with something. "Come to me or Isaac and talk to us about it."

Isaac took a few steps toward Emily, finally moving from his spot by the door. He wasn't thirsty, but her blood was still appealing to him, he needed to be careful so he wouldn't kill her. He had a much harder time controlling his thirst than Gabriella did. "And perhaps you should write to Cici, she always seems to know what to do." Isaac added, laying a hand on Emily's shoulder.

Well, that was certainly a smart thing to think of, Gabriella gave Isaac a slight smile. She looked back at Emily, nodding in agreement with Isaac. "That sounds like a good idea to me, too," Gabriella said, still waiting for Emily's reply.

Emily gave a slight nod, then wiped away the tears lingering on her cheeks impatiently. She didnt like crying, but she did it so often these days she didn't care to count them. She bit her lip, perhaps she should let Gabriella heal her arm. No, she would let it heal on its own, live with the scars. Along with the word "broken," she had carved into her stomach with a knife. The word still burned, and the friction of her shirt didn't help.

Gabriella nodded in reply, glad that Emily had agreed to some help. The smell of blood still was strong in the air, but Gabriella didn't say anything. Emily could ask if she wanted her cuts healed. Last time she had refused.

Emily wanted out of the room, she felt like lobbing off an entire limb, but she knew that wasn't going to help the situation. Unless she was in the mood for bleeding to death. Okay, sure, writing to Cici seemed like a good thing to do. She was not going to get her mum involved though, Hermione would fuss nine times worse than Gabriella. But if her grandmother knew about it... Emily mentally shuddered at the thought, her grandmum was capable of fussing twenty times worse than Hermione could.

"Alright, we'll just leave this out of family conversation, okay with you?" Gabriella asked her sister. She mentally envisioned telling either of her parents that Emily was cutting herself. Her father would be furious and Hermione would fuss over Emily until everyone started screaming.

Emily shook her head fervently, she did not want her parents to find out, they would drag her straight home, and she wanted to be at Hogwarts. "More than," Emily said in the small tone that she usually used these days. She was scared of everything now, including herself.

"Alright, good," Gabriella replied, wondering what to do now. She stood up from her seat and pondered this for a brief second. "Come here," Gabriella said, ready to embrace Emily in a soft hug. She felt that was just something that her sister needed at the moment.

Isaac took a step back, resuming his position of blocking the door. He felt as if he were intruding on a "sister" moment, but he had no idea on how to politely excuse himself. So he hid himself behind the flimsy belief that if he stayed off to the side and was quiet, they wouldn't notice him.

Emily always felt awkward hugging her sister, since she towered over Gabriella. But she did not care at the moment, and actually did want a hug. She bent over a little bit, gladly accepting the cold embrace. Her eyes welled up with tears again. Emily didn't know why she had suddenly lost control of her eyes, normally, she could control her crying, but it felt as if a dam behind her eyes had burst, sending a flood of tears down her cheeks.

Gabriella was as gentle as she could be with Emily, like she was hugging a newborn baby, though Emily was hardly that. Sometimes it was difficult to be a vampire, have unnatural strength. Gabriella noticed the tears now flowing down Emily's cheeks and just patted her gently on the back for a moment.

Emily felt the moment fading from her and gently pulled away. She didn't know what to do now. Part of her wanted to retreat to the broom closet on the seventh floor, but her other half wanted to go directly to the owlery and write to Cici. She wasn't sure what to do, or how to get out of the situation. Emily wiped away her tears, then looked down at her feet, slumping a bit.

Gabriella stood there for a moment, feeling a bit awkward. "Do you want to go and write Cici right now?" Gabriella offered, unsure of what else to do anymore. She glanced over at Isaac in the doorway. He looked awkward too.
