Charles walked into the dance, fashionably late, of course. He was wearing the brightest, most obnoxious set of dress robes you could imagine. They were peacock blue, and the collar had several peacock feathers adorning it. He grinned and took in the atmosphere. The decorations were a little drab, but he felt his outfit made up for it. He knew they weren't supposed to be in costume, but her wore a Phantom of the Opera styled mask anyways. Charles fingered his hair (which he had spiked up with a handful of different products). What to do first?

Jasmine came up and found her brother as dressed up as usual. She grinned and walked up to him. "Hey Charlie." she called. Gathering up her pink dress robes, she shuffled over to Charles and hugged him gently. "Love the peacock feathers. Nice touch."

"Thank you." Charles said, grinning widely. This should be fun. People were already staring at him. No matter. He was a bright shining star, nobody would dampen his spirits. "Those pink robes are positively ravishing on you, darling." Charles complimented his sister.

Jasmine smiled. "Thanks Charlie." she replied smoothly. With a flick of her wand, two punch glasses flew into the air and floated before Jasmine and Charles. "What have you been doing bro?" she asked.

"Creating this," Charles said, gesturing to his outrageous robes. "All I did was buy the materials, I made them myself." He took a sip ofthe punch. It wasn't too bad, he preferred butterbeer, though. No matter. He took another sip.

Jasmine sighed. "Worrying." she replied solemnly. She missed Ryan, and he hadn't sent her any letters yet. Her engagement ring was getting heavier and heavier each day, and each day she was getting more and more worried about him.

Charles gently squeezed his sister's hand, knowing that she was concerned with her boyfriend over in Paris. "He'll be okay, Jazz." Charles said with a slight frown, it hurt him to see his sister upset about anything. "Have some fun! You deserve it!

Jasmine smirked and gave Charles a quick hug, careful not to spill her punch all over the front of his peacock colored robes. She stood back and smiled. "You're right," she replied. "I should have more fun, not worrying."

"That's the ticket." Charles said with a wink, then took a sip of his punch. He thought briefly of his sketches up in the Gryffindor common room. He would love nothing more than to design robes from simple to fabulous. "So what shall we do, Jasmine?" Charles asked.

Jasmine shrugged. Dusting off her robes. "Whatever you want dear Charlie." she smiled. In the pit of her stomach, something was off, but she couldn't place it. Usually, she could tell, but she couldn't tonight. She shook it off, hoping it was just her worrying about Ryan again.

Charles made a faint humming noise as he thought of what they could do with the evening. He had asked if he could organize games for the kiddie party, but the professors said they had it under control. He flicked his wand and after a short moment, his sketch book whizzed to his hand. He opened it and began thumbing through the pages. "Look at these, aren't they fabulous?" said Charles, showing his sister the sketches of the robes he designed.
