Too Far (Anyone)

Isabelle had been in her office, slaving away with a quill over her plans. She flicked her wand at them, so unless she was reading them, they were random medical records. She walked out, already knowing what she was to expect with this tedious labor. "Out of my, out of my way." Isabelle said impatiently, gently moving Gabriella out of her path. She cleaned and healed Wolfgang's injuries. She then summoned a box, and levitated it in front of Gabriella. "Take this to Isaac, make sure he drinks all twenty pints. Goodness knows, he could take out all of Hogwarts and Hogmeade if his thirst isn't satisfied." Isabelle instructed. She then returned to Wolfgang, he was still in pain. She gently laid her icy hand on hi open palm. "Can you squeeze my hand for me?" Isabelle said softly.

Wolfgang felt the icy cold hand atop his own, but somehow his brain wasn't quite connecting with his limbs. The hand didn't quite feel normal. It was far too cold. Maybe it was because he was running a fever or something. Eventually, his brain made the connection with his hand, and he squeezed. Not hard, but at least it was something.

Isabelle pulled her hand from the boy's weak grasp. She clapped her hands and the blinds shut and the lights dimmed themselves. "Get some rest," Isabelle said in her sweet voice. "I'll send for your girlfriend, go to sleep, you went through quite an ordeal." She then softly barked at a house elf to bring Angel Potter to the hospital wing.

Wolfgang opened his mouth to respond to the fact that the nurse said he needed rest, but the only noise emitted from his mouth was a low groaning mumble. He was out before Isabelle had rudely ordered the house elf to bring Angel to the hospital wing.

The kid was finally out. Isabelle wanted to be sure that he wouldn't be a vampire, the last thing she needed was yet another newborn at Hogwarts. She dipped her finger in a puddle of blood on his sheets. She licked it, and thought a moment. "Nope. No venom, he's clean." Isabelle muttered to herself, then cleaned up the blood before Angel got there.

Angel had been in the library, working on homework when a house elf ran up to her and told her Wolfgang was in the hospital wing. He had been badly injured down by the forest. She ran, the elf several feet behind her. She completely ignored Isabelle when she slipped in. Like a faithful elderly wife, Angel seated herself in a chair and held one of the sleeping Wolfgang's hands in both her own, trying not to cry.

Gabriella grabbed the box and darted back out of the school, picking up Isaac's trail once more as she ran to find him. He was still in the same place, but he was shaking as if he was in pain. "Isaac!" she said, coming up to him. She opened the box. "Here."

Jasmine saw Gabriella return and she gasped quietly. Isaac? she thought, taking a step forward. She leaned against the tree and waited, knowing that both vampires would notice her sooner or later. She waited then, somewhat patiently.

Gabriella turned to see Jasmine just after Isaac had taken the box. She had noticed her before, but she now realized that her cousin was practically spying on them. "What are you doing Jasmine?" Gabriella asked, just loud enough for her to hear.

Isaac was frozen, he had smelled Jasmine earlier, but now, the smell was so strong, so tempting. No, I will not slaughter again. Isaac mentally told himself, opening the box and pulling out a pint of blood. He downed it in two seconds flat. Some of the sharp glint in his burgundy eyes faded. "Jasmine, go." Isaac said, taking a step back, although something in his mind urged him to go forward. "I can't hurt you, too."

Gabriella watched, but her cousin didn't move. "Jasmine, go!" Gabriella yelled at her. "Please go," she said, more quietly this time. Gabriella turned back to Isaac. He had only had one pint so far. "Another one," she said, holding it out to him. Her eyes flared black for a moment before returning to normal. She had forgotten her blood this week.

Jasmine had gotten so pale. Her feet were rooted the spot, she was just so afraid. She couldn't move. "But... Isaac?" she stuttered. "How?" she felt like crying. So much had been happening. "Not you too..." she shook her head.

"Jasmine," Gabriella said warningly. Hungry vampires weren't the best thing for her cousin at the moment. Gabriella watched as Isaac's eyes flared. "Damn," she mutterd, shoving the box of blood at him. Gabriella ran for Jasmine, picking her up and running to the edge of the forest before she set her down on the ground.

Jasmine collapsed to the ground. The wind was picking up, and in a half a second a dreadful human cry ran through the forest. Jasmine attempted to stand up. "God damn it, when I need my legs to actually work, they refuse!" she hissed.

"No kidding," Gabriella replied. "Look, I've got to go help Isaac. Can we talk later?" Gabriella asked, preparing to run back into the woods already. Still, she waited as patiently as she could for Jasmine's coming response.
