There was a large bowl of spaghetti directly in front of Jenna, but she was hardly paying any attention to it. It was Saturday and, for once, all of her homework was done. Still, no food was on her fork, and no food was in her mouth. She was sitting at the Ravenclaw table staring at two things; a letter from her father and the Daily Prophet.
The newspaper was once again revealing signs of a coming doom. More mysterious deaths in which only anti-muggle groups were suspect. Jenna couldn't believe that the Ministry was trying to hush up something so horrible. An entire household had been wiped out. Disgusted, Jenna folded the newspaper and stuffed it in her cloak pocket. She turned back to the letter.
It was extremely rare that she ever even visited her father, and she could not remember ever getting a letter from him. Slowly, Jenna opened the letter, not conscious of the people around her. As she unfolded it, she saw that it was a short letter, but a shocking one as well.
Dear Jenna,
I would like to inform you that I am getting married in the early spring to a beautiful woman by the name of Audrey Reynolds. The wedding will be sometime in April, and I hope you and your mother can attend. Over Christmas, I would like you to come to my house and help Audrey and me to plan the wedding. Please write your response as soon as possible.
Your loving father, Percy Weasley
Jenna could only stare at the letter, shocked into silence. She would have never guessed that her father would get re-married, but it seemed that he was. Jenna had no further time for thoughts, as someone plopped down next to her. She hastily refolded the letter and turned to see...

Angel, she was carrying a stack of books, a few rolls of parchment, a half-used bottle of black ink and a swan feather quill between her teeth. She placed all her stuff down on the table beside one of her many cousins and sat down. "Hullo Jenna." Angel said after removing the quill from her teeth. Angel then opened a book and flipped through the pages, while simultaneously serving herself spaghetti.

Jenna gave Angel a small smile, still feeling slightly distraught. This was big, way bigger than she could have ever dreamed. She needed to tell someone. However, she had never been very close to her cousins. Penelope had never wanted to visit anyone on Percy's side of the family, and there were no cousins on Penelope's side. Jenna couldn't remember the last time she had visited her Weasley cousins. Still, she needed someone to tell, and Angel had always seemed nice. "Hi Angel," Jenna said. "I just found out that my dad's getting re-married."

"No way!" Angel said as she unrolled a roll of parchment that contained her Arithmancy essay. "To whom?" she asked as she began to write with her right hand and eat with her left. She had become accustomed to this behavior at the dinner table, it was the only way to get all her work done.

Jenna couldn't help but smile at Angel's workload. She was surprised that she wasn't doing the same thing, it seemed to be abnormal for her to have so much free time in one day. "'A beautiful woman by the name of Audrey Reynolds,' that's who," Jenna recited, just as her father had put it in the letter. "It seems ridiculous.

"Do you like her? That's the important part, Jenna." Angel said as she finished her serving of spaghetti and reached to get another. She dropped it right onto her essay. "Oops." she said, blushed then used magic to clean up her homework and move the spaghetti to her plate.

Jenna sighed slightly. "I've never met her," she admitted. "Actually I had never heard of her until today. I guess I'll be meeting her over the holidays." Jenna picked up her fork and twirled some spaghetti around it, thinking.

"I'm sure she's nice." said Angel, took a bite of spaghetti, swallowed and began to speak again. "Looking on the bright side, even if you don't like her, you live with your mother, right?" It must be horrible being the child of divorced parents, Angel couldn't even imagine it.

Jenna shrugged. "Yes," she said. "But I'm sure he'll want me to visit more often now that he's so happy. He's never written me before, just my mom, asking when I'm visiting." Jenna sighed and took a bite of spaghetti.

Luke came up to the table, his backpack slug around one shoulder. It was rather heavy these days. Seeing none of his friends at the table, his best friend Isaac was at the Slytherin table, he decided on sitting by two girls. He knew their names, Angel Potter and Jenna...something. They were related, he knew that too. "Hi Angel, hi Jenna," Luke said as he sat directly across from them. It was then that he realized he had never heard Jenna speak before.

"Hi Luke." Angel responded, not tearing her eyes away from her essay. She absently ate another bite of spaghetti, while at the same time dipping her quill back into her bottle of ink and resuming her writing once more. This was typical behavior for her at any meal.

Jenna gave the boy a smile as Angel said her reply. She had never met him before, and had just now found out his name from Angel's reply. But, apparantly he already knew her name. "Hello Luke, I don't believe we've met before," she said, looking up into his bright blue eyes.

Her voice made her sound like she was singing, it was incredible to Luke. She almost glowed as she spoke. Luke grinned. "Well, then we will have to formally introduce ourselves," he said, holding out his hand. "I'm Luke Jacobs."

Jenna grinned. "And I am Jenna Clearwater," she replied, her thoughts completely closed so she wouldn't read anyone else's by mistake. She reached out to shake his hand. When there hands met, it seemed as though a spark jolted both of them, and they pulled back their hands. Jenna looked around anxiously, but it seemed that no one had noticed.

Angel had not noticed, she had been bent over her plate and her steadily lengthening essay. She had run out of room on that parchment. It only had to be two rolls of parchment, but hers was already four, and she needed more room. Angel pulled out her wand. "Accio parchment." she said wearily, and a fresh roll flew to her hand. She opened it and began writing again, now completely ignoring her food.
