The library was almost empty, a rarity even at this time of year. Jenna walked over to the table in the corner, the one that was farthest from the door. She sat down in the chair, an action which hardly made her any shorter, and pulled out her massive amount of homework, spreading it around her. She was working alone again, something that seemed to happen a lot.

Jenna had never been a real social person, prefering to do her homework or go for a long run rather than try to get invited to parties. Generally people liked her, but few would actually come up to her, especially when she was working alone in the library. But today was different, someone was walking up. Jenna looked up to see...

Fiona. She was also a little anti social. She sat down across from the girl she didn't know. Not saying a word. She liked to be around other people she just didn't like talking to them (unless she knew them. She took out her homework and begun.

Jenna gave her a smile. She recognized Fiona, they were in some of the same classes. "Hi Fiona," she said quietly, continuing with her homework. When Jenna was sitting down, she looked only a little short, and it would only be until she stood up that everyone would not realize how short she really was.

Fiona looked up from her homework. "Uh hi Jenna she said smiling. She looked back down at her homework. She didn't know Jenna that well but she seamed nice. Who cares if she's short. Hight is not an impotent quality in a friend.

Jenna grinned at her and stared at her essay for a moment. It had to be two pages. Jenna's handwriting was tiny, this was going to take a while. She opened her book and read for a moment before she began to write.
