Ariana wandered aimlessly through the ruins. This was the exact same setting that was in her dreams and nightmares over and over. So many times had she been there, she didn't even know if right now was real, a nightmare or dream. Her wand hung loosely in her right hand, her left hand tracing the ruined walls. It was pitch black, way past her curfew. As usual she didn't give a jack.
Ariana made her way to the stairs, old and worn out. Her feet had traveled this path so many times in her dreams she knew it by heart. Not even hesitating at the foot of the staircase, she began climbing the rickety stairs. The same feeling of being watched pushed in on her with every step she took. This was the part where it might become a nightmare or a dream.
The same hissing voices and creaking sounds came from down the hall. Without thinking, she began to approach the door as silently as she could. Ariana could see a sliver of light from under the door. Placing her ear gingerly on the door, she gently laid a hand on the doorknob. Just as she began to turn the knob, a hand landed on her shoulder.
Ariana whirled around in shock, stifling the urge to scream. Who ever was in the room couldn't know she was here. This had never happened in her dreams before. It was too dark to make out who was standing there. Ariana began groping the ground for her wand, but the hand pulled her off the floor.
Just then the door opened and the hall was flooded with light. Shocked, Ariana didn't even look behind her. She scanned the ground for her wand. She grabbed it and stunned whoever was behind her. Not thinking, Ariana grabbed the persons hand and began yanking them down the hall. Her legs couldn't carry her fast enough, knowing that the person that was behind them was evil. She fell out the door, landing in the street.
Now Ariana knew this was real. She sat up and felt the sting of blood oozing down her leg. Groaning, she stood up and brushed herself off. She felt the presence of the person behind her. Hesitantly, Ariana slowly turned. Sighing with relief she found herself face to face with...

Angel, gasping for breath, several chunks of hair loose from her ponytail. She had been aimlessly wandering around at night, in encouragement to get her out more, her parents had lifted her curfew. Angel looked at Ariana, blue eyes not showing any warmth, just sternness. "What the hell do you think you were doing in there? You know it's not safe!" Angel hissed, her voice sounding like cold water hitting a hot frying pan. She then saw the wound on her sister, and instantly felt woozy. "Come on, we're going home to get that healed. I'd do it myself but we're not allowed to use magic. Just be grateful and Ministry owl isn't swooping down on you right now."

Ariana groaned. Of all people her older sister had found her in there. "You should be happy I knew how to get out of there. I thought I was having another freaking dream or nightmare like I always do." She snapped. She began to walk down the street, ignoring the shooting pain in her leg and trying not to limp.

"But still!" Angel said, the harshness still marring her normally sweet and quiet voice. "You shouldn't have gone in there in the first place!" Thankfully, Angel wasn't hurt, but she was thoroughly shaken, her newly red hair was a mess. Without another word, Angel tightly pursed her lips, then went to her sister's side, ready to catch her if she should fall.

Ariana stumbled through the door of their home. Of course she had been out past curphew and her parents would be ticked. She steadied herself on the doorframe, hoping to be quiet and limp up to her room with out her parents noticing. A light flicked on down the hall, and footsteps were heard. Ariana swore quietly and grabbed the nearest rag and began soaking up the blood wich was know spilling from the wound. When her parents turned the corner, she quickly tied the rag around her leg and rolled her jean leg down over the gaping scratch. "Hi!" She said cheerfully to her parents.

"Ari, that's not- Oh, hi." Angel said, smiling to her parents. They both looked skeptical. "Oh, um, Ari and I went to the library." Angel explained quickly, lying convincingly. There was one flaw... "Your car is in the driveway." said her mother, folding her arms. Oh, crap. Now what? "We, uh, took the bus. I'm not sure if my car has enough gas to make it there." Angel lied yet again. They still looked skeptical, but retreated to their bedroom. "Come on, let's go upstairs to my room." Angel said, beginning the walk upstairs.

Ariana followed, allowing herself to limp. She didn't really want to follow, but Angel didn't sell her out. She grasped the railing tightly, putitng all of her weight on it as they padded up the stairs. When Angel closed her door, Ariana sat down on her bed, rolling up her jean leg to examine the injury. She wasn't really paying attention to what Angel was saying.

Angel pulled out her wand from a box in a drawer of her desk. "Let me see that." Angel said, knowing what she was going to do was illegal. She untied the rag and looked at the wound, already starting to feel sick, she didn't handle blood too well, Wolfgang was fine, but she wasn't. Angel pulled out a first aid kit and found the bottle of wound cleaning solution. "Hold still." Angel said quietly as she soaked a cloth with it, then applied it to the cut.

Ariana bit down on her tongue as it stung her wound. She refrained from moving. Why was it now she actually went into the ruins? Why couldn't it be a freaking dream again? The main thing running through her head was what could that evil thing have been.

"Alright, I didn't bail on you, so you won't bail on me. Correct?" Angel asked as she pointed her wand at Ariana's cut and muttered a healing spell. The skin mended itself, leaving a thin, almost unnoticeable scar. It wasn't as neat as if Wolfgang had done it, but there was no more bleeding.

"Yeah, sure, goodnight." Ariana stood up, testing weight on her le and mad her way to the door. She was tired but had some research to do. Locking the door, she sat down on the bed and got her lap top out. It exited sleep mode and brought up the page of mystical creatures.

Angel yawned as she sat before her mirror, pulling out her ponytail and a hairbrush. She allowed her red hair to cascade down to a bit below her butt and began to run the brush through it. She hummed as she did so, it wasn't a tune, just some noise.
