Lily smiled in relief. She had to go meet Andrew in the owlry. She lept from her bed and went down to the common room. When she exited it she was pulled into the shadows.

Indago changed her mind halfway to the door, she should stay up here. There was something else she had to tell Minnie. "Min, umm, there is something else I ought to tell you." Indago began, unsure of how to word it. I'll just say it outright, no sugar-coating bullshit. I'll just say it, it's three simple words. I am pregnant. How hard could it be? Indago thought. It turned out, it was very hard. "Min, I am..." Indago began weakly, but she couldn't say the last word. She burst into tears and sat down on a bed, unable to stop crying.

"Indago!" Minnie cried, sitting down next to her cousin. "C'mon, what's wrong?"

Indago pressed her palms even more forcefully onto her eyelids, seeing little specks of color. Her brain was having trouble formulating words, her hormones were on rampage. She continued to cry, she couldn't find it in herself to tell Minnie, she just couldn't. Lip quivering slightly, Indago removed her palms from over her eyes. Maybe she'd just tell the story leading up to it. Indago struggled for a while to find her voice again, then began to talk very softly. "A few weeks ago, me and Lily were attacked by followers." She began. "We managed to get rid of most of them, but there was just one. He took me away and left Lily alone. That man, he, raped me and now... now..." Indago pressed on, tears streaming full force down her cheeks. "I'm-" Indago continued, then her voice dropped so low, Minnie most likely had to lip-read the next word; "pregnant." Indago concluded, then pressed her palms over her eyes again.
