Nothing Worth Living For {OPEN}

Minnie leaned back against a hedge and tilted her head towards the sky. Life seemed so miserable. Nothing seemed to be worth living for any more. Did anyone really care about her? Minnie bit her lip. If only she knew someone cared.... Sure, she had her friends, but - maybe they really didn't care. Maybe they wouldn't mind if she ran away to some desert island in the middle of nowhere. She heard footsteps approaching, but didn't bother to look at who was coming.

It was Indago, Christina in her arms, she was in an unaturally good mood today. Her red hair was back in two french braids. Indago had gotten quite good at using magic to do her hair. It helped now that Christina was fasinated with pulling her hair now. Indago saw Minnie and smiled. "Hi Min." said Indago cheerfully.

Minnie looked up. "Hi."

"Why the long face?" asked Indago. Christina squealed with delight. The child loved the cold and snow for whatever odd reason...

Minnie bit her lip. She looked at Christina's smiling face, and then her gaze traveled over the snowy bushes. Why was she sad? Yeah, Cassandra's supporters were now on an angry rampage, but - they had survived before, right? What was so different about now? Spirits may be dampened, but perhaps that increased strength. "Ya know," Minnie stated, "I don't know."

"Then smile for once, it'll give your facea break." said Indago. Christina reached for Minnie's hair. "No, don't do that Christina." said Indago, pulling Christina's hand away before she could pull Minnie's hair.

A grin unfolded itself across Minnie's face, and she smiled at Christina. So innocent, so young... with no worries in life.

Christina giggled, then looked up at Indago. Her brown eyes shown with laughter, they were definately her father's eyes. Indago held Christina closer to her, the child may like the cold, but she shouldn't stay too cold... "Mah mah" babbled Christina. Indago felt like crying...

Brandon crouched in the bushes. He wanted to talk to that girl...Minnie, alone. come on, go already he thought anxiousley. Why was he so obssesed with that girl any way?

Indago felt tears well up in her eyes! Christina's first word! It it was "mama"! She hugged Christina, crying with happiness.

"Hi Indago, what's wrong" asked Lily as she she walked up to her sister. Why was Indago crying?`

"I'm being stupid." Indago said, sniffling.

"Being stupid about what?" She asked curiousley.

"My daughter's first words." Indago said, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye.
