Azul sat at the Gryffindor table, awaiting the mail. Todd's owl landed in front of her. That was weird, normally her own owl brought her mail. "Thank you Hermes." Azul said to the owl. "You're welcome." Hermes said, then spread his wings and flew off. Azul opened the envelope and pulled out the letter within. She read it, then felt her heart drop. It read;
Dear Azul,
Todd went missing upon his visit with us. His body was found near the creek yesterday. I'm sorry to tell you, we all miss him as well.

It was from Todd's mother. The handwriting was barely legible, there were tear stains on the parchment, the ink was smeared in places. Azul felt tears well in her eyes. Todd, gone. How could this happen? Azul put her head down on the table, arms around her head, sobbing. The letter lay writing-side down on the empty table. Azul didn't care there were still people in the Great Hall, didn't care there were footsteps approaching her...
Dear Azul,
