"Why do people care?" she said. "Why is what my life revolved around."

"I'm wired that way. It has always pained me to see someone less fortunate. Not all people are that way, but that's just who I am." said Indago.

"But it is not just you. Everyone trys to make sure I am ok, I am happy, I ma safe. Why?" she asked. That was what she had always wondered.

"Jasmine, you may be poor, you may be an orphan, but you're an awesome person. People look at you and don't see another statistic. They see a real person who has it tough. That's what makes people care." said Indago.

"Your sugar coating sympathy" she said. "That is one reason why I dont accept freebes, they show sympathy, another reason is once you are a poor street rat, all you have left is your dignity and you want to keep it" she explained looking at her feet.

"I merely answer your question, I'm sorry, but it's hard not to show sympathy. Most humans are wired to show it." said Indago.

"And most street rats are wired to hate it" she smiled. A wave of tiredness swept over her. She hadnt slept for days. Everytime she slept something bad happened. Seh yawned.

" You should sleep. And it's not me showing sympathy, I swear. It's me expressing that you need to fulfill a basic human need. Lay down and I'll stand watch." Indago offered.

"I sleep, you get kidnapped, I dont wake up in time, your gone forever" she said. "Not gonna happen"

"See those locks over there?" said Indago, pointing to the door. There were fifteen different ones. "Those aren't just muggle locks. They have spells on them, only I can open them. Anti-teleportation force field around this place. Why else would I sleep here every night?" said Indago.

"Bombardo can blow them up. Or reducto" she said simply. "I dont need sleep" she said firmly stopping herself from yawning again.

Indago cocked an eyebrow. "Okay, I'm going to be my motherly self and force you to lay down. And I've got a few new tricks up my sleeve." said Indago with a wink.

Jasmine stood up and got ready to fly away before she felt a spell hit her. She gared at Indago as she fell back wards onto the bed and against her will she fell asleep.

Indago smiled, then sat down in a chair, crossing her right leg over her left.

Jasmine waited until she slept for about an hour. She then forced herself to wake up.
