Indago stood off to the side of the Great Hall, arms folded. Evan had insisted that they go together, so she unwillingly obliged. What other choice did she have, really? Evan stood beside her, holding Christina. "Why did we go here again?" Indago asked him.

"We don't get much time to ourselves, think about it. How long has it been since we've been on an actual date?" said Evan, cradeling his daughter.

"Too long." said Indago with a smile. "But is this really your idea of "time to ourselves"? Look at the place, it's packed!" said Indago.

"It's as good as we're going to get, for now. May I have this dance?" Evan asked, smirking.

"You're not serious?" Indago said, looking around. Since when did Evan, or she for that matter dance?

Jasmine sat in a corner watching the merriment. She grinned at Indago and Evan and Christina. They were a real family. She sighed as she thought about Cal and tears streamed down her scarred face, stinging the cuts. She didnt care. Nothing was worth anything anymore. She could not stand the fact that Cal had died over mourning for her. She benther head down to block her wet face from prying eyes. No one gives a care about an orphan slytherin. No one.

"I'm dead serious. C'mon, It'll be fun, and Christina would like it." said Evan, holding Christina with one arm and slipping the other around her waist.

Indago gave in, she Evan and Christina walked out onto the dance floor. Slowly they began to sway to the tune. Evan held Chistina clos to him with one arm, the other was on Indago's hip. Indago had her hand on Evan's shoulder. Indago then realized she now had something she had been longing for. Family.

"Relax a bit, you're too tense babe." said Evan, smiling. Christina had fallen asleep on his shoulder.

Indago tried, mainly she was focused on not tripping over her own feet. She couldn't help but smile at the sleeping Christina. Sure, she couldn't sleep when Indago wanted her to, but she could when she felt she wanted to.

"See, it's not all that bad is it?" Said Evan, still swaying slightly.

Indago smiled. "I guess it isn't all that bad." Indago said softly.

"What did I tell you?" Evan said as the song ended. "Do you think we should put her to bed?" asked Evan.

"Yeah, I've been taking her to the room of requirment lately. C'mon." Indago said softly.

Evan held her hand, and together they walked from the Great Hall and up to the sixth floor.
