Dark Trees {open}

Indago leaned against a tree trunk, she'd promised that she'd meet Evan here, alone. Indago was happy to do so, she hadn't been alone with Evan in a very long time...

Evan walked into the trees and saw Indago, he smiled widely. "Hey beautiful." said Evan, slipping his arm around Indago's shoulders. "I haven't seen you in awhile." he commented.

Indago grinned and kissed Evn's cheek. "Haven't seen you in awhile either." said Indago. She had the weird feeling they were being watched...

Evan smiled, then twelve followers jumped from the trees. They all drew their wands and pointed them at Evan and Indago. Evan drew his wand, he took out two of them before they attacked.

Indago managed to take out another two, before she was kicked in the stomach. She landed on all fours, gasping for air.

Evan killed the follower who'd hurt Indago. His eyes were livid, must this always happen?

Indago narrow them down to three. One of them drew his wand as the others ran away. "AVADA KEDAVRA!!!" He boomed, wand pointed at Indago.

Evan saw the magic as if in slow motion, he sprinted and sheilded Indago from it. He felt the green light hit his chest, then felt no more as he crumpled to the ground and the last follower dissapartaed.

"EVAN!!!!!!!!" Indago screamed, then threw herself upon her boyfriend's body. He was cold and lifeless. Indago began to sob, why had he done that? Why? Her tears dripped from her chin, dampening Evan's shirt. Indago was completely oblivious to the footsteps. Evan, her lover, her cgild's father was gone...

Jasmine flew down from a tree and transformed. "Indago!" she said urgently. She put an arm around her friends shoulder. "He did it for you" she assured soothingly. "He loved you and you loved him." she soothed. "But you can't give up on life when someone dies, like I did when I thought Cal had died. You have to move on, Evan would have wanted you to" she muttered softly as she hugged her friend comfortingly.

The words were a blur to Indago, she picked out a few of them between her sobs, but not enough to make any sense of them. It was all her fault, why did it have to happen again?

"God dang it all , Indago!" said Jasmine crossly and clearly. "It is not your fault, I cant MAKE you see that but it is true" she said firmly. She wasn't trying to be mean, t was not INdago's fault though. More softly she saiid "It will be alright."

Indago pressed her palms to her eyes, not now, why now? Why to her? Why in the first place? Whatever happened to having a normal life? Damn those followers, damn them all to hell. Indago thought as she cried...
