Willow felt her throat minorly constrict, she could hardly believe that she was acting this way around a younger guy. She was, although unaware of it herself, trying to get his affections. Perhaps it was just more of a shock to her because he looked much older than his stated age. She decided that she wasn't going to care. "Twenty-three," Willow replied without missing a beat. She, unlike many other women, was not ashamed of her age, and couldn't picture herself ever being that way.

Luke nodded, though his insides squirmed a bit at the knowledge that Willow was four years older than him. He didn't care too much though, it was just a bit strange to think about. But nevertheless, Luke couldn't push back the feeling that he liked Willow a lot. It was weird to think about a potential girlfriend so soon after getting over Jenna, but Luke decided that was unimportant.

To mull over the somewhat awkward silence, Willow signalled for the bartender to bring her another round as she finished off what was left of her mead. She decided that she wasn't going to care about the age difference, she and Luke seemed to be getting along well, even if they had only been talking for about twenty minutes or so. Willow felt he was genuine, he didn't seem like he was materialistic, which she liked. Especially in comparison to the guys that the girls on the team set her up with on occasion. "I don't mind if you don't mind," Willow commented after a moment, sensing Luke's discomfort.

Luke decided that he didn't mind either. Over the short time that they had been talking, Luke had found that he had grown fond of Willow. It was stupid to think their age difference was a problem, anyway. "I don't mind," Luke assured her with a smile. He, too, ordered another drink after finishing off his first.

Willow smiled, glad that Luke was on the same page as she was regarding the age difference. It was certainly a change over her usual relationships, once she had gotten out of school she tended to go for older guys. But Willow felt that Luke was different, he seemed mature for being nineteen. "Good," said Willow, taking a quick sip of her drink, "then why don't you and I have dinner on Thursday?"

Luke knew that it was a little bit different to like an older woman, but he felt if Willow was alright with it, then there was no issue. Besides, plenty of men dated, even married, women who were older than them. It just wasn't exactly the majority. "I think that's an excellent idea," Luke said, grinning at Willow. "Do you have any preference as to where we go?"

Willow knew of plenty nice restaurants, but she didn't want to go to them with Luke. Not that she had problem with it, but she would rather their relationship stay out of the public eye- she would much rather go to a more low-profile place. Although they might have even better luck at a muggle place... "Why don't we meet here and walk around London until we find something?" Willow suggested. It would probably make for a much more casual environment for a first date.

Luke nodded, figuring Willow wanted to go to a muggle place either to keep out of the way of the media, or because she had a specific place in mind. "Sounds good to me," Luke said cheerfully, feeling better than he had in weeks. He sipped his drink, Jenna momentarily gone from his mind. Perhaps Willow would provide a way to get over her for good.

Willow smiled, and then took a sip of her drink. She was surprising herself about how outgoing she was being at the moment, she didn't normally talk to complete strangers in pubs. But she felt that she had done well, she had found someone thaat she got along with well plus a date on Thursday. As long as Luke didn't turn out to be like the other men she dated, Willow would be happy.
