In one word, Luke was frustrated. Not only had he found out that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant, and had now given birth to twins, but Jenna was still refusing to speak to him. More than once Luke had come to her apartment, knowing that she would be there. And each time, the knock on the door remained unanswered and the letters were not responded to. In fact, Luke hadn't even seen Jenna from a distance since a few weeks after Isaac had told him that Jenna was pregnant.
It was only through Luke's conversations with other Order members that he had found out that Jenna had given birth to twins. Someone had told him their names were Ivy and Aaron, but Luke had yet to learn their middle names or find out what last name Jenna was using for them. So obviously, Luke had no idea what to do.
After sending Jenna another letter, asking her to let him help out with their kids, he had gone over to the Leaky Cauldron. Drinking wasn't exactly something Luke did a lot, but he felt as if he needed a couple of firewhiskey's to lessen his intense frustration.
A few bottles later, and Luke was a bit tipsy, but nowhere near drunk. In fact, the drinks hadn't helped much at all. If anything, they had made him think more about his current situation. It seemed that everything had gone wrong after the breakup with Jenna. He hadn't gotten married, he hadn't traveled Europe, but instead was doing more for the Order, and he was cut off from his own kids. Sighing slightly, Luke ordered another drink, figuring it couldn't hurt. When the door to the bar open, Luke didn't even bother to look over and see who it was.

Willow walked into the pub, hair swept up into a braided ponytail, and wearing a set of simple, although flattering, pale blue robes. She wasn't sure what had brought her there, she usually went to the Three Broomsticks if she was in the mood for a drink, but she had instead come all the way to Diagon Alley for a glass or two of her usual mead. Willow quietly ordered a round from the bartender, and then looked for a place to sit. It was then she noticed a young man sitting by himself. She wasn't usually one to initiate social interactions, but Willow was feeling more outgoing that day. "Do you mind if I sit here?" asked Willow, gesturing to the empty seat beside him.

Luke heard an unfamiliar voice and looked up to see a rather pretty woman standing in front of him. "Oh, not at all," he said quickly, his words coming out smoother than he had expected considering his current tipsy state. Luke waited until the woman had seated herself before deciding he ought to introduce himself. "I'm Luke Jacobs," he said, extending his hand to her.

Willow sat down, delicately crossing her right leg over her left at the knee, taking in the young man's appearance. She couldn't quite put a finger on his age, but she figured he had to be at least twenty- maybe older. "Willow Renaldi," said she, accepting his handshake. She took a sip of her mead, waiting for the typical responses. Willow Renaldi? The seeker for the Holly-Head Harpies? She usually got a response along those lines when meeting someone for the first time.

The name seemed familiar, but for the moment, Luke couldn't quite place it. He felt like maybe he had heard Willow's name on the Wizard Wireless, but Luke hadn't listened in on Quidditch matches or anything of the sort since finding out Jenna was pregnant. "Nice to meet you Willow," Luke said with a smile. He took a sip of his drink and waited for her to say something more.

"The pleasure is mine," said Willow with a smile. She took a sip of her mead, mildly surprised that Luke had not made the connection with her name. However, she appreciated not having the recognition, sometimes she regretted her decision to go for professional Quidditch because of all the attention it rendered, but Willow couldn't see herself doing anything else. "You look like something's on your mind," Willow commented after a pause.

Luke was ripped from his thoughts again by Willow's voice. For a brief moment, he had nearly forgotten where he was. "Oh, well I think that everyone has something on their mind these days," Luke said to Willow with a shrug. If he felt like he had known Willow better, he just would've spilled everything. But Luke had just met Willow and dint' want her to think that he was complaining about anything. There were certainly people, other Order members actually, who had it a hell of a lot worse than he did.

Willow nodded, the few hairs that had escaped from her braid swishing a bit as she moved her head. "True enough," Willow agreed, and then took a sip from her mead. Only a few months ago one of her chasers quit the team- and they still hadn't found a permanent replacement. And if Willow had to be honest, she didn't care for the reserve player filling in, she didn't click very well with the rest of the team. "Well if you want to talk about it, I'm here to listen," Willow added with a small smile.

Luke's thoughts were still on Jenna, but he didn't want the pretty woman in front of him to know about that just yet. "It's just ex-girlfriend drama," Luke said with a shrug. He pushed the thoughts out of his mind for the moment and re-focused on Willow. "But anyway, what do you do for a living?" he asked, having a slight feeling that it might be a silly question he should already know the answer to.

Willow made a face, she knew all about having troubles with exes. A few former boyfriends before her surge of fame were still badgering her about getting back together. But she knew better, they either wanted sex, a bit of the spotlight, her money, or all three. She smiled a bit when Luke asked what she did for a living, it had been a long time since someone asked her that question. "I'm the captain and seeker for the Holly-Head Harpies," said Willow in an offhand tone, as if her profession weren't that big of a deal.

At first Luke thought he had heard her wrong. The next thought he had was that Willow was joking. But after a few seconds, it dawned on him that she was completely serious and that he should have known this all along. He laughed. "Of course," he said once he had capped his laughter. "That explains why you look familiar."

Willow also chuckled, she figured that Luke really must be having a hard time- perhaps he really had known all along, but his brain was just too frazzled to make the connection. She would certainly understand if that were the case. "I guess it would," said Willow, smiling, "I suppose you've seen the sports section of the Prophet at least a few times in the past few years." She paused to take a long sip of her mead. "So what do you do for a living, then?"

"Probably just a few times," Luke said with a smile and a slight nod. He had been sort of busy for a while. In school, Luke had worked quite a bit to keep his grades up and then afterward he had joined the Order. That was part of the reason Luke had kept his job at Honeyduke's. He could get enough money from that job and still be able to work with the Order. "I'm a cashier at Honeyduke's," Luke said with a wry smile. "Pretty boring, yes, but I haven't quite figured out what I want to do at this point."

"Ah, you're still young," said Willow with a wave of her hand. She didn't like it when young people were pressured into things. Besides, she didn't feel the need to associate with people that were as well off as she was, Willow found that she didn't fit in very well with them, as she had come from relatively humble beginnings- neither of her parents being particularly wealthy. That and they were muggles. "Just because I signed onto the Harpies at eighteen doesn't mean everyone has to get a career started so quickly. How old are you, anyways?" Willow added.

"Yes, I suppose not," Luke said with a shrug. He took a sip of his drink before replying to her next question. "Nineteen," Luke said, still unsure of how old Willow was herself. He guessed her to be older than himself, since she said she had been playing for a few years. "How about you?" Luke asked, hoping it wasn't too rude to ask Willow's age, especially since she had just asked his.
