"Well, then this will be a learning experience for the both of us," Marcus said with a smile. "I'll teach you more about the muggle world and you can teach me how to not look like an injured flobberworm when talking to people."
Marcus couldn't even fathom having a large family. He'd grown up with no one but his parents and Uncle Steve. Everyone seemed to avoid him as a child but Marcus hadn't really minded. He had always prefered solitary, quiet places. The library had been his favorite place to be growing up. Still was his favorite place actually. Everytime someone at Hogwarts wanted to find a book but didn't want to deal with the grumpy librarian, they came to Marcus. And everytime they did, he would helpfully but shyly point them in the right direction.
When it came to social situations like these however, he was completely lost. He never knew what to say or how to make small talk. Unless there was something specific to talk about Marcus didn't really see a point to talk at all. How people could just stand there talking about nothing all the time was completely mystifying.

"I don't think your that bad with talking to people," Seth said as he jumped up onto the counter to sit so that he'd be more comfortable while talking to Marcus. Personally Seth thought that Marcus was rather cute when he was talking with other people. He'd sometimes get this strange confused look on his face when he was waiting for someone to get to the point of the conversation. Though at the same time Seth thought that just about everything that Marcus did was cute.
"So your going to be graduating this year right? Whatcha going to do after? Like with your life, got any future plans for yourself long term?" Seth asked as he figured Marcus wasn't going to try keeping a conversation going so he might as well.

"I'm hoping to get a job with magical creatures. I've always loved animals. I understand them a lot better than people. Maybe I'll work in Diagon Ally and help the creatures find good homes."
Marcus smiled as he said this. It was a simple dream, but it made him happy. He'd never really considered going into anything glamorous like working in the Ministry. There were too many people there. There would be people in Diagon Ally too, but not near as many and he would be mainly dealing with the creatures there. That was what he wanted.

Seth smiled and nodded in understanding. Marcus was just to socially awkward to want a job that meant dealing with a lot of people. Marcus was the type who would excel if you just left him alone. Seth wondered if Marcus would ever trying to set up his own shop in Diagon Alley. Perhaps setting up a magical creatures adoption center for example or something like that.
"Well I bet you'll do good in a job like that," Seth said just glad the other was only thinking of getting a shop job to meet his interests. Seth was not sure how he would have responded if Marcus had mentioned an interest in studying Dragons and planning on moving to Bulgaria or some other far of place. "Perhaps even own your own shop someday," Seth said, voicing part of his earlier thoughts.

"Maybe, but I'm not sure if I'll get that good." Marcus shrugged a little. He honestly didn't think he would really get to that point. He didn't think he'd be good enough at running a business. The magical creatures he could handle, but owning his own store? He doubted that is wouldd ever happen. Though, in the magical world just about anything was possible.
"What about you? Did you always want to be a healer?"

Seth shook his head no. He had only decided to become a healer in his sixth year of school when he concluded the best way to help and protect people was to become a healer. For a long time during his child hood Seth had had the childish wish of becoming a star fleet officer and go star treking across the universe. Then he had learned that muggles weren't that technologically advanced yet and he couldn't do that. So at that point Seths wish had changed to becoming stranded on an island and living there for the rest of his life.
"Lets just say as a child I had a very active imagination that concocted some very unique future careers for myself," Seth said shyly feeling somewhat embarressed. As a child he had never needed to worry about running out of imagination. With several acres of fields to explore Seth was forever finding and creating something new. Some days he would be an explorer while others he would be the prince in his younger sisters games. Even now though Seth had always been the protector. His job was to help people and that duty would never change. He would never harm anyone not even now that he was a vampire.

"I like active imaginations, it makes people interesting." Marcus said with a smile. "I... I think you're interesting, Seth." Marcus said looking down at the floor shyly. He was starting to feel more and more confidant about this situation. More eager to see where this was going to lead. More eager to find more about Seth, getting closer to him. He'd never desired to get close to anyone before... This would certainly be an adventure!

Seth couldn't be any happier surely. He grinned as Marcus looked down at the floor shyly. Yes, Marcus was the right one for Seth. With each other they both could help each other out. Marcus could help Seth settle down a little hopefully while Seth could perhaps help with the others confidence and people skills. Seth now knew what people were talking about when the spoke of some couples being 'made for each other'. Seth may hardly know Marcus but he knew that there would be no other for him.
"Thank you Marcus," Seth said as he reached over and ruffled the others hair playful. "I think your very interesting as well," Seth added as an after thought. He thought Marcus was a lot of things and there was no way he could explain all of his thoughts to Marcus, Seth just didn't know enough words to describe what he thought of the other. Perhaps the best word would be Unique.
