Lucifer Cole twirled around in the chilly spring air and inhaled deeply. It was good to be out of school, but she missed Hogwarts dearly. She twirled around once more and took in her surroundings. She was in Traverse City, in a cherry orchard. The trees were in full bloom, and the sickly sweet smell of cherries filled her senses. She held up the camera that was strapped around her neck and she took a few pictures. She had forgotten the business of which her and her father had come here. Lucy forgot everything..until her father tapped her on the shoulder, breaking her bliss. "Time to go." Her father said in a gruff voice, and he held out his hand to her. Reluctantly she grasped it and with a loud 'Crack!' they dissaperated into Diagon Alley, where they ran into...

Marvel had just been leaving the Menagerie when he'd been bumped by a rather large wizard and his daughter. Leaning forward, he picked his hat off the ground, dusted it off, then looked up. He recognized the young witch from school, but he didn't know her name. "I'm sorry, that was my fault," he responded, brown eyes flicking from the witch to the man who'd knocked him aside. The man looked down at him, turning his nose up slightly, for whatever reason.
Marvel ignored him as he fitted the hat back onto his head. "I'm Marvel, I recognize you from school," he noted, turning his inquisitive gaze back upon the girl. He stuck out his hand slightly, ignoring the look he was getting from the man, no doubt the father of the girl. It was rather amusing, but he didn't care. If he was going to apologize, he at least wanted to know the stranger's name so he could do so properly.

Lucy glanced at the boy who had just introduced himself, then turned her gaze up to her father. He seemed rather irritated, and she knew that her father didn't take well to strangers. 'But ignoring Marvel would be rude.' she thought. She grasped Marvel's rough, calloused hand and smiled sweetly. "I'm Lucifer James. Pleasure to formally meet you." Her grey eyes met his caramely brown ones and saw a question resting deep within. Realizing their hands were still linked, she quickly dropped his and turned to her father. "And this charming old geezer is my father." Her father grunted his hello and turned away. "You'll have to excuse him. He doesn't really take well to strangers. He's sort of been a hermit for most of his life. He really is a sweet guy." Marvel looked amused, which struck something within Lucy. She giggled softly.
