Dressing Style: Very casual and muggle in style Li wants to be comfortable in what he is in. He is more likely to go for the loose cargo pants so that he has big pockets to store things in. His shirts range in both style and color but are normally casual muggle t-shirts with some slogan written acrossed the front. Li hates shoes and doesn't wear any when he can get away with it.

PERSONALITY

Personality Traits: Very friendly and social, Li is easy to talk to and is not one to judge. Has been told that he has a childs personality but he doesn't mind since it makes it easier for him to connect with his students.

Strengths: Is Trilingual (Speaks Korean, Chinese [Mandarin], and English) very good with music (Knows Piano, Cello, and can sing rather well in Chinese) very approachable and easy to talk to.

History: Born in North Korea, Li was originally named Jae-Sun. Both his parents were muggles and had never heard of magic before not because they were muggles but because magic was not accepted in North Korea. If you were a witch or Wizard and someone learned about it while you lived in North Korea you risked 'disappearing'.
Jae-Sun did not show any signs of being a wizard thought until he was six years old. He managed to change the colors of his favorite shirt from white to blue. Seeing this his parents panicked. They could not risk someone learning of their strange son and being punished for it. They were in good standing with the government and were not going to lose their position just because of their child. At first both parents hoped that by telling young Jae-Sun not to do that would be enough but Jae-Sun couldn't control his magic. Whether he wanted to or not sometimes his shirt would just change colors. By now Jae-Suns parents were very scared and didn't know what to do. They could tell no one at the risk of being punished as well but at the same time they couldn't just get rid of their only son. That was when his parents decided that they had to leave, they had to escape from North Korea if the family were to be safe.
Li does not speak of how he escaped from North Korea or how his parents didn't make it across the border. Li doesn't talk much about that time in his life at all actually. He managed to escape into China where the Wizarding government managed to get to him before the muggle government could deport him back to North Korea. Li was adopted by a wizarding family and given a new name. Li learned about magic and learned to understand why he had needed to leave North Korea. However living in China was not safe ether. With little choice given to him, Li and his new parents left China. His new parents moved the family to England so that when the time came Li could go to the best wizarding school, Hogwarts.
Li was accepted into Hogwarts and sorted into Hufflepuff. His life at Hogwarts was rather dull and normal with nothing of significance happening to him. When he finished with hogwarts Li went onto to go a muggle university to study muggle teaching. He completed his Masters of Arts in Teaching and concluded that he didn't want to live in the muggle world. Li belonged in the wizarding world and so with his newly granted muggle degree he applied to be the muggle studies teacher at hogwarts.
However at the time there was already a teacher teaching that subject and so Li became a substitute. Only this past school year that teacher quit and now this coming up school year Li will be able to begin his teaching career at hogwarts!
