Felicity sighed contentedly to herself, plopping down on a bench in the garden. She had already discarded her robes, vest, tie, knee-socks and shoes, and had gone wandering through the grounds. Felicity hadn't done terribly well on her OWL exams, leaving her with only four classes that she could take. Music, Divination, Charms, and surprisingly, Transfiguration comprised her schedule, leaving her with a good amount of space in her days now that she didn't have Potions, Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts, History and Astronomy, and Felicity had to admit that she could get used to the major gaps in her days. Sure, she did have Transfiguration in the mornings, and it was difficult to wake early for that, but the rest were afternoon classes.
This left her from second period until after lunch to do as she pleased. Wadding up her shed robes, sweater, and socks, Felicity created a makeshift pillow as she stretched out on the bench, closing her eyes against the sun. It was still hot out, but not quite as bad as July or August had been, it simply felt like an average summer now, if only quite a bit drier. The effects of the peculiar weather were easily observed in the garden, most of the plants were either dead or withering, there simply wasn't any amount of care that could be given to them to make them survive the heat and lack of water.
But for now, it was pleasant. Eyes still closed, Felicity unbuttoned the top three bottoms of her blouse, she had felt as if it was nearly choking her. The uniforms were always so stuffy, Felicity hated them and all their layers. She then pushed her sleeves up past her elbows and gave a heavy sigh of relief, now she was halfway comfortable. She thought of her brother's reaction to the way she had presented herself, and quietly snickered. So uptight he was, always fussy about things being orderly, even the way he dressed was meticulous, and here she was, barefoot with chipping polish on her toenails, shirt untucked, and her skirt wrinkled.
Really, they were opposites in every regard of the word. Though Felicity did care for Felix a great deal, and she was quick to get after anyone that tried to poke fun at him. In her mind, she was the only one that was allowed to tease him. Felicity supposed it was the way that siblings worked. Sighing again as she heard the sound of footsteps, Felicity turned her head and opened her eyes to look at...
