{(NO ONE TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO FIND YOU)} unexpected what you did to my heart Since she had been a young child, Vivian's father had told her a number of fairy tales where two people fell deeply in love and went on to live happily ever after. Such tales were told to all children and it was a dream that most of them had. To stumble upon the person who would complete them, who would love them no matter what. When she had been younger, the werewolf had thought that a beautiful princess would ride up to her on a grand steed like they did in those stories and whisk her off her feet. Now, of course, such things were unrealistic and as she grew Vivian accepted that such a thing would never happen. She wouldn't get to ride on a magnificent horse to a palace where she would marry a princess and live happily ever after. As she grew she even began to doubt that such a thing as true love or soul mates actually existed. The raw, powerful emotion that she had read about in books simply seemed too good to be real.
Things hardly ever turned out to be as good as that, especially in her life where every month she would be forced into a monster. If anything she only believed that she would find someone that was able to tolerate her and love her at a basic level. But, to have something as powerful as the love in those old fairy tales? No. Never. That was why she had been completely and utterly thrown off of that boat when she met Lexie. There had been many girls in her past who had caught her eye whether it be by their looks or their personality, but never had she ever felt truly drawn to anyone. It amazing, really, how one small, accidental run in had turned her world upside-down. From the moment her eyes had met those soft, beautiful brown eyes, Vivian had been hooked. There was simply no turning back. And, to think it had all been because she hadn't been paying attention to where she was going.
It had been here at Flourish and Blotts that the two had found one another. It was Christmas evening and Vivian was quietly waiting outside of the shop for Lexie to arrive. She had something very special in mind for the girl. Now, while she would have like to say that she had taken a responsible approach to this and had thought long and hard about, she couldn't truthfully say that. There had hardly been any long, hard thinking about her decision. She knew the answer to it before even wondering about it. The only choice that had taken forever for her to decide on was which ring to choose. Yes, inside the pocket of her jacket the werewolf had a small, black velvet box, and inside that box was a promise ring. She knew perfectly well that the two of them were much too young to get married at that point, but Vivian knew that Lexie was the girl she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. She was her soul mate. She was her true love. She was her only one.

Christmas had always been her favorite time of year, for as far back as she could remember. There was something so wonderful about the whole atmosphere that befell everywhere as the holiday season drew nearer. The bitter air which should be enjoyable but kind of fit the whole season, the food, the people in general, the whole excited feeling that came with shopping for presents, hanging up decorations. It was a truly magical time of year, one she knew she'd never grow tired of. Not even the horror of last year could taint it for her, she didn't like to dwell on the past and of course she'd prayed for the poor people who'd lost their life's but figured it only right that she enjoy Christmas, it didn't do anyone any good to feel sad over events you couldn't change.
Christmas with her family had been wonderful but she'd missed her other family. Vivian and Celosia. They'd spent a brief amount of time together since they'd arrived home but still it wasn't long enough and it had been interuppted by her parents. In fact her Father still struggled to look her in the face which she found highly amusing because her Mother was just happy to go on as normal. Lexie knew it was because her Mother understood what Vi and herself had together. It wasn't some brief, teenage fling, it was the real deal. A lot of teens say that but Lexie knew in her heart that there was no one else for her, Vivian was her past, present and future. Miss Meadows knew this to, she saw it in her daughters eyes when she spoke of Vivian and despite their brief worry about their daughter, both herself and Mr Meadows had quickly grown used to the idea of their daughter being in love.
It was with a skip in her step that Lexie made her way through the streets of London and onto Diagon Alley where Vivian had messaged her to meet. She was dressed in her lazy girl clothes, it was too cold for anything else and they were comfortable so she was happy, plus she figured Vivian would appreciate her not being in a dress...again. Making her way towards the bookstore, Lexie found herself smiling brightly, remembering their first run in here, and how it had ultimately changed her life. To think, she'd almost gone and got her robes first instead, fate sure had played a role in them meeting that day. "Hey pretty girl." she said, making her way towards the brunette and greeting her with a kiss on the lips.

{(NO ONE TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO FIND YOU)} unexpected what you did to my heart Now, as excited and jittery as she was to be doing something like this, Vivian couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness as well. She was sure that the girl wouldn't turn do such a thing, but even with all the reassurance she had given herself and had received from her parents and brothers, there was still that pestering voice in the back of her mind that repeatedly voiced her worries and doubts. What if she didn't want the ring? What if Lexie really didn't want to be with her forever like that? Biting her lip, the werewolf sharply shook her head to rid her mind of such thoughts. No, she couldn't think in such a way other wise she would never be able to get through this and she was sure she wouldn't get another chance like this any time soon. She had to do it and she wasn't going to let such mindless doubts get in her way.
Becoming a bit lost in her self scolding, it took the brunette a few moments to register the soft crushing sound of footsteps over the snow that had gathered on the cobble-stone path. Lifting her head up, a wide smile slid onto her lips as her brown eyes fell onto the beauty that had hopelessly and undoubtedly stolen her heart. Practically purring in glee at the kiss, the werewolf felt her heart drum loudly in her chest, just as it alwasy did whenever she was around Lexie. This girl just did wonders to her and she knew she would never, ever tire of it. "Mmm, hello yourself,"
she greeted with her signature purr-like growl, gently wrapping her arms around the waist of the girl and pulling her into a soft embrace. "I missed you today." Spending time with her family had been a joy just as it always had been, but the feel of the holiday just seemed a bit off without the girl beside her. And, hopefully some time in the near future, the two of them wouldn't need to be separated on the holidays or any day for that matter. "I'm glad you could make it. 'Cause now I can give you my little gift," she said as she finally loosened her arms and pulled away a bit, her eyes shining brightly before she took Lexie's hand into her own. With a small giggle Vivian gave her hand a gentle tug to get her to follow her before she led the two of them into the bookshop they stood in front of. It was meant to be closed as most all shops were on Christmas, but Vivian's mother was friends with the owner of the shop and had managed to get a favor out of them. So, the two of them had the shop to themselves for a bit, giving Vivian the perfect time and place to give her gift to Lexie. Lexie smiled at Vivian, her hands wrapping around her girl-friends shoulders in response, nodding her head in agreement, "I miss you to but other than that did you have a good day?" she asked softly, her Christmas had been amazing, she'd loved it and they had a better night planned when she returned home. Her parents had made her promise not to stay out too late, they were only too aware of the trouble going on and they didn't want her out too long after dark. it was only after promising them over and over that she'd be back early enough that they'd allowed her to leave the house, with a lot of reluctance on her Mother's part of course, but with a promise to call them when she was on her way back her Mum had relented and waved her goodbye.
"Gift huh? Do share!" Lexie said with a bright smile, excited, following behind Vivian as her girl-friend began leading her towards the bookshop they'd met and then inside. She was curious now and also playing with the box in her pocket, her own gift for Vivian "I have your gift here as well..." she said, pulling the long box out of her pocket, it was wrapped in red paper with a green bow wrapped elegantly around it. Inside was a charm bracelet, with only a few charms on, one a book in honor of their first meeting, a moon to represent Vivian's hidden self, a C for the baby and anything else could be added later the more time they were together. Pulling Vi to a stop she held the box out, "Open mine first."

{(NO ONE TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO FIND YOU)} unexpected what you did to my heart Despite being in a house filled with her relatives, Vivian's Christmas had been rather nice. She had gotten a few things from her parents that were really more things to help care for Celosia, her brother had given her things that were more for her to use, and then a few shirts and other small items from her relatives. She no longer was given a huge stack of presents like she once had. No, her daughter had taken that job. There had been so many things for Celosia to open and the little girl had loved it. It really had been a sight to see, but that was not what was on the young mother's mind at the moment. Instead there were a number of things rushing through her head, going through her plan over and over again and repeatedly going down her mental check list to make sure she had remembered to do everything.
When Lexie had stopped her, though, the werewolf had to pause for a moment as she focused back onto reality. Blinking a few times, Vivian stared at the neatly wrapped parcel for a moment before a wide smile slid onto her lips. She had been so wrapped up in her own little gift that she hadn't even thought that her girlfriend would have something for her. Looking up at the red-haired girl with a gleeful look in her eyes, Vivian happily pulled the wrapping paper apart to expose the box. She paused for a time as she tried to guess what could possibly be inside it and even after she had gone through a list of possible things there was nothing that would have her guess something like this.
A faint gasp slipped through her as she looked down at the bracelet, simply staring at it before she finally focused on the small charms that were attached to it. Her fingers ran over the small book charm, a smile on her lips as the memory of their first literal run in flashed through her mind. The moon lightly dampened her smile, but it brought a softer look in her eyes. It had been hard for her to actually believe that Lexie would ever love her even when she knew what she was, but it brought a whole new sense of love to think that the girl still accepted her and loved her despite it. And, then, there was the metal 'C' for their little girl. "Oh, Lexie...I love it,"
she breathed out as she looked back up at the girl before pulling her into a loving embrace. "It's perfect." [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] {(WHEN I LOST HOPE)} you were there to remind me this is the start Speech ThoughtsWords of other charrie(s) TAGGED;: Lexie LYRICS;: At the Beginning - Richard Marx and Donna Lewis MUSE;: 8/10 STATUS;: Finished
