Felicity didn't have many classes, but today she was refusing to attend a single one of them. Honestly, it was a wonder she had even gotten out of bed, everything seemed so difficult lately. Maybe it was the rain, the perpetual lack of sunshine- she didn't think she had so much as seen the sun since September, and that in and of itself was thoroughly depressing- or perhaps her mania had finally crashed and given way to the opposite end of her emotional spectrum. The latter was likely the case- Felicity did love summer weather and bright, sunshiny days, but she didn't usually mind the transitional, dreary period where winter met spring.
Sighing, she flopped down on a bench, instantly stretching out. Uncharacteristically for her standards, Felicity was attempting to avoid people, mostly because she was supposed to be in class at the moment, and didn't want the lectures. She should have stayed in bed, curled up with the blankets over her head, but she had gotten a certain restlessness in her legs and had needed to walk around for a while. Felicity had stuck to the seventh floor corridor for a while, ambling about with her hands trying in vain to ease the stiffness in her neck and shoulders, before climbing the stairs to the astronomy tower.
It was late morning, coming up on lunchtime, Felicity figured that the tower would be deserted until nightfall. Her hunch, thus far, had proven to be correct, and the circular room fitted with telescopes around the open balcony, was quiet and motionless. Felicity shivered as a breeze passed through, it wasn't quite warm enough out to lounge around without a cloak. Luckily, one had been left behind, tucked beneath the bench she had laid on. It was small, probably belonged to a first year, but it would do. Felicity snatched it up before curling up like a cat on the bench, and then draped the abandoned cloak over as much of her body as she could get it to cover.
That was somewhat better. Felicity figured she could enlarge the cloak, or use some sort of spell to make the area warmer, but it seemed like one of those days where she wasn't in the mood to do anything, even for the sake of her own comfort. Felicity groaned, both out of frustration with herself and this slump she was in, and because she heard someone coming up the stairs- so much for avoiding people...
