Evelyn couldn't stop thinking about Gavin, and it was driving her insane. She wanted nothing more than to confess the attraction she felt to her professor, whether it was wrong or not, and she just wanted to feel his hands on her the way she'd been imagining for weeks, feel his lips on her neck the way she'd dreamed about since the one-on-one lesson that she'd had with him in the middle of August. It was causing her to lose sleep, which was something she couldn't afford. She already felt crazy enough as is.
Evelyn was dealing with so much stress, and she needed to unwind. The fact that she couldn't sleep and was plagued with erotic fantasies of her Divination professor was causing her to feel even more stressed. She already was on the verge of starving herself out of sheer stress, and not being able to get the proper amount of sleep wasn't going to help her out in the slightest. There was simply too much on her plate and she couldn't control herself around him. There had been several embarrassing episodes in the classroom and hallways that Evelyn wasn't exactly proud of, but she couldn't really help herself.
There'd been the accidental, cliched dropping of her pencil in front of Gavin, causing her to bend over in a provocative way to reach it. There'd been several Freudian slips, several instances of intense eye contact, and a few moments of close calls when Evelyn had stayed after class to get help from Gavin... the inappropriate thoughts of Gavin taking her in his classroom were too much to really take... Evelyn was currently headed to The Leaky Cauldron to drown her filthy thoughts in firewhiskey.
The Leaky Cauldron was ideal. It was far away from the prying eyes of most Hogwarts students and staff, and it made her exceptionally happy to feel like an adult, rather than a student. She was legally an adult, and she just wanted to be treated as such... specifically by Gavin... the age different didn't bother her in the slightest, and, if she were being honest, the fact that he was her teacher didn't bother her either. She just wanted to give into her greater impulse and she wanted Gavin to feel the same way.
Pushing open the door, she couldn't help but smile softly. The inside of the pub was much warmer than the cool air outside. She loved the weather in the fall months, but because it was accompanied with scattered thunderstorms she was less than thrilled. When the snow finally came, Evelyn would be much happier. She settled down at the bar, fishing money out of the purse slung across her chest and ordering herself a firewhiskey. She held the bottle between her hands, taking occasional sips of the burning liquid in silence, allowing her mind to fill itself with all the fantasies of her professor...

Gavin had survived his first month at Hogwarts, and the way he saw it, things would likely only go uphill from there. He was getting into the swing of having a schedule, sort of, and once again becoming accustomed to having so many people around. Of course, it still was the same amount of overwhelming, all those souls in one building, so many possible outcomes for each individual's future... A vision or two a day was what he had averaged before returning to school, but now he could have anywhere from a dozen to fifty, it was getting quite distracting. A quick outing was definitely in order, it would help him to collect his thoughts.
And Lord knew he had thoughts that needed collecting. Mostly in regards to a particular redhead... Gavin couldn't help that he was very attracted to Evelyn Strauss indeed, regardless that she was his student. And he wasn't sure if he was just imagining it, but it seemed she was encountering the same sorts of feelings, at least that was evident by the way she behaved around him. The glaringly obvious pencil-drop, how she always seemed to hang behind after lessons... She was driving him mad. But in a good way.
Though Gavin knew that if there was one person he wasn't allowed to have these sorts of feelings for, it was her. Even if they were both consenting adults, he was still in a position of authority over her. They weren't allowed to be, it might ruin everything. A part of his conscience really did want to test the theory- what was the worst that could happen? As far as Gavin had researched it wasn't anything illegal. Moral grey area? Of course, but there wasn't anything inherently bad about it, was there? So perhaps it was good for him to get away from the castle for an afternoon.
Though as he meandered up the street toward the Leaky Cauldron to get himself a glass or two of wine, he was getting the sense that he was going to walk right in to the perceived "problem" that he had spent the day specifically trying to avoid. Gavin knew even before he had put his hand on the door handle that Evelyn was inside. Normally these feelings of precognition weren't nearly so strong, but it seemed his already keen abilities became sharper when Evelyn was involved. Maybe they were that way because he wanted them to be...
Taking a breath, Gavin walked casually into the pub. He saw her almost immediately at the bar, nursing a bottle of firewhiskey. Well, it wouldn't hurt to interact with her. Besides, they weren't in school now, maybe they could be a bit more open with what they were feeling in a more neutral environment. Gavin approached the bar and ordered a full-bodied red wine before turning to face Evelyn and smiling at her. "We ought to stop running into each other like this," said Gavin with a quick wink.

Evelyn was rather enjoying her time to herself, thinking about Gavin in provocative ways. At least, without him around, she could allow her mind to fill with the filthiest of thoughts without feeling guilty. Granted, she still needed to keep it toned down in public. She had never been very good at keeping her emotions off of her facial features, and the last thing she wanted was to get caught by some stranger making a face of intense pleasure because of her fantasies... though, of course, the danger certainly had her thinking more and more about how incredibly attractive her teacher was...
She knew how wrong it was, she knew that it couldn't be something she pursued openly. Evelyn bit her lip, taking a rather large swig of her firewhiskey. The warm liquid slid down her throat and she enjoyed the sensation greatly. Evelyn closed her eyes, trying to control her raging thoughts. It wasn't any secret that a female's hormones ran just as wild as a male's, but she had never felt the way that she was feeling towards Gavin about anyone else before.
Yes, she'd had boyfriends and had slept with a few people before, but none of them had made her feel the way that Gavin did. It was due to how physically attractive she found him, as well as the danger involved. The more she fantasized about him, the more she realized just how incredibly hot the whole "Forbidden Fruit" concept was. It was wrong on so many levels, but she simply couldn't help herself. She was very close to getting a room upstairs for the night, just so that she could get out any fantasies that she had in a more private setting. Leaning back and closing her eyes, Evelyn allowed her thoughts to engulf her.
Immediately, however, she smelled a familiar smell wafting towards her from the open door. Evelyn sat up, looking over her shoulder to see none other than Gavin himself. She quickly discarded all of the filthy fantasies from her mind, slightly saddened that she didn't get to allow the current fantasy to play out. It had been one of her favorites, a simple scene of quick and quiet passion... in the fantasy, neither party had even had the time to take all of their clothes off...
"We ought to stop running into each other like this."
Evelyn smiled at Gavin, pushing her filthy thoughts from her mind as she laughed a little. She shrugged slightly, taking a sip of her firewhiskey as Gavin winked at her. She ignored how sensual the gesture was and how it was beginning to light a fire deep in the pit of her stomach... "I don't mind if you don't mind,"
[/color] Evelyn replied, shooting him a slightly seductive smile.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Gavin wasn't sure what to feel about having run into Evelyn here. He hadn't been expecting it until he was about half a block away. He vaguely wondered what she was doing away from the school, even if she was seventeen and therefore free to come and go as she pleased. Most students simply stuck around the castle. Maybe she had gotten overwhelmed by all of it herself, Gavin couldn't say he blamed her, it was a wonder nobody lost their minds on a routine basis. Of course, he had never developed that certain fondness for Hogwarts, it had never really felt like home to him. He had always been, and still was, more at home in the commune.
But he was learning to find comfort in the school, mainly in the North Tower. Really, it was the most lovely part of the castle, Gavin had come to pretty much live up there- though his more formal quarters were down on the seventh floor. He was more comfortable in the isolated tower- with the incense he burned, the nonsensical arrangement of furniture, the quiet stillness... It was lovely. And he did at least have skill enough in Transfiguration to make his desk into a bed, and then turn it back come morning.
It worked better than he could say. Though he did still miss the small, yet cozy, abodes of the commune, everyone's acceptance of love regardless of the kind, and of course the more lax rules on marijuana. Gavin did still indulge his liking of cannabis, though he'd taken to tea and cooking it into things to avoid the telltale odor were he to smoke it. The incense would cover it, but it wouldn't neutralize it, he would have to keep it going and routinely fumigate the room to get the stench out of the curtains... Really more trouble than it was worth.
He sipped his wine, giving forth a gentle, contented sigh. Gavin chuckled lightly at her words, well of course he didn't mind, though it made it all the harder to resist her the more they saw each other. And now he was sure that they had some sort of mutual attraction going on... Gavin fought back his impulses again, though it was becoming an active struggle in his brain, and he was afraid that the side in favour of restraining was beginning to lose. Not that he was going to complain about that, he was just concerned, there was a lot on the line.
But he was rapidly beginning to not care. As long as they were careful, didn't get caught... Was he really thinking about this? Yes... He was. "Of course I don't mind," said Gavin with a slight smirk before sipping his wine again.

There was no denying it now, there was a mutual attraction there. Evelyn was certain of it, it was too obvious to hide. The way that Gavin looked at her, the way that he behaved when she was around. She'd noticed how differently he treated her from other students, and she was certain now that she hadn't been imagining it. She watched him smile and sigh and sip his wine in contentment and she found herself smiling, sighing, and sipping her drink just as happily in return. The firewhiskey now seemed warmer and richer.
Evelyn wondered vaguely what the night would hold, now that it was so apparent that they held each other on similar pedestals. She pictured many different scenarios, all equally as pleasant and varying in levels of raunchiness. While she didn't frown upon gradual romance, it seemed far too boring. There was enough danger in this potential love affair already, there was no sense taking their time, in Evelyn's mind. Besides, she wasn't entirely sure that, once everything was out in the open, that she would be able to control her carnal desires for very long...
She bit her lip as she continued to sip her drink, wondering what on Earth the night would hold. Suddenly, things seemed brighter, more beautiful. Evelyn was surprised to find that Gavin had that affect on her. It was strange, she'd never felt anything like it before. She wished that she could put a finger on what was bothering her so much, she wished that she could put a name to the feeling that she was so desperate to express. For now, Evelyn simply called it lust, but was there more to it than that? She wasn't entirely sure, and she was a bit frightened of the answer.
Evelyn had never felt anything akin to love before in her life, and to think that she was falling in love with her Divination professor was absurd. There wasn't any way that's what that was. She simply was infatuated with him and wanted desperately to go to bed with him. That's all it was, all that it could be. Besides, the pair had only known each other for about a month, and there was still so much going on in her life. A permanent man in her life would just complicate things... but Gavin was worth it.
"Of course I don't mind."
Evelyn looked up, his voice breaking her out of her deep, intense thoughts. She smiled softly, absently taking another sip of her firewhiskey, only to discover that she'd already emptied the bottle. She quietly ordered another before turning her whole body towards Gavin, careful not to brush up against him. She was well-aware, based on careful observation, just how squeamish he was to everyday touch... "What brings you here, Gavin? Surely you've better things to do with your time than sit and drink alcohol with me..."

Gavin again sipped his wine, it was a lovely thing. He liked to consider himself a connoisseur of sorts when it came to wines, though when he got to a certain point in inebriation the subtle differences in taste began to blur together, and he'd no sooner be able to point out a two-galleon bottle than a fifty. But this one was nice- robust and vibrant with subtle undertones of currant and raspberry. Delightful. Of course, not as radiant as the redhead next to him, but that was beside the point. Gavin was beginning to realise that this seemed to be a safe environment. He might be recognized given his published works and being newly appointed to his position- but Evelyn, she had anonymity.
She could probably pass for nineteen or so if she wanted, so while there was a notable age difference between them, nobody in the room could know for sure that she was one of his students. The thought alone was liberating, opened up so many possibilities... Now Gavin didn't have to be afraid if interactions between them could be interpreted as flirtatious. Of course, how far he would be able to allow things to go... That remained to be seen. But for now, just having the slight possibility was nice.
He watched as Evelyn signaled for another round, he wondered how long she'd been here. Not that he was going to judge her for drinking, but it might put a damper on his attempting to woo her if he felt she had had more than just one or two drinks. Gavin was quite firm about never putting the moves on someone if they were too intoxicated. He wanted having sex with someone to be a firm, conscious decision, he didn't want to be anyone's regret. Gavin lightly sipped his wine as she spoke, before setting his glass down and slightly cocking his head to the side.
"Evelyn, my dear, you don't give yourself nearly enough credit," said Gavin, smiling crookedly, "I find you rather fascinating." And what else did he have to do, really? He'd already visited his mother back at the commune- most of the time trying to talk himself out of moving back- meandered about the shops, and now he was going to have a glass of wine before heading back to the castle. Or, at least that had been the plan until he had happened upon Evelyn. Now his evening was substantially more open-ended.
"At any rate, I needed to get away from the castle for a while, such an overwhelming place, you know," Gavin added before returning to his wine, sipping it leisurely. He was very intrigued to see where this might end up, in a neutral environment, their being together was much less risk. Yes, walls always did have eyes and ears, but he felt he would be a lot more paranoid if it was an issue.

Evelyn thanked the barkeep for the firewhiskey, taking a small, tentative sip. She had a fairly high tolerance for alcohol for someone her size, but she wasn't going to go overboard. She would be surprised if she managed to finish half of this bottle before stopping herself. If there was anything more than she wanted than Gavin, it was the ability to remember this night clearly in the morning. Even if nothing ended up happening, she at least wanted the option to think fondly back on this night as the possible first step of a love affair.
Evelyn took a moment to fantasize about that. She hadn't considered it before, but, now that it crossed her mind, the idea of a continuous affair with Gavin seemed wonderful. She smiled absently at the thought. Sure, it would be dangerous, and the pair could possibly get into serious trouble for it. Gavin could lose his job and all his new-found recognition, and all his work in the Divination field would be discredited, and Evelyn ran the risk of being expelled in her final year... strangely, Evelyn found that she didn't mind so much. The idea of being with Gavin was too enticing..
Of course, she'd only go through with it if he agreed and felt the same way. Evelyn couldn't believe her inner dialogue. It was wrong of her to start making internal decisions without Gavin's knowledge... of course, it was also wrong to have filthy, erotic fantasies about her Divination professor, a man who was a least a decade older than she was. Evelyn shrugged the thought away. The lack of guilt she felt about her intimate feelings would have probably been a lot higher had she not thought that Gavin felt the same way that she did.
Granted, he hadn't outwardly said anything. Somehow, Evelyn just knew. She was looking forward to the way her night was looking, now that Gavin was here. If he hadn't shown up out of the blue, she probably would have gotten a little buzzed, maybe even a little drunk, then rented a room for the night. It was the weekend and she didn't have classes and, being a consenting adult, could come and go as she pleased, so long as she attended all of her classes. Now that Gavin was here, however, her night was much more open-ended.
"Evelyn, my dear, you don't give yourself nearly enough credit. I find you rather fascinating. At any rate, I needed to get away from the castle for a while, such an overwhelming place, you know."
Evelyn nodded, raising her glass slightly before taking a sip. "I understand completely. Can kind of be a dreary place if one doesn't have the opportunity to catch a break away from it every now and again,"
[/color] she replied. Evelyn set her drink down on the bar, pushing it slightly away from her before turning her full attention on Gavin, folding her hands in her lap. "While I'm interested in knowing all about what someone like you could possibly need a break from, I'm more intrigued by the fact that you're fascinated by me..."[/color] she trailed off, looking at him fondly.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Gavin, now that he had set his glass down, put a forefinger on the rim and traced it- much in the manner that he had to fiddle with his teacups- in an anticlockwise fashion, though instead of three, as was his typical number, he proceeded to seven. Such a lovely number, seven. Gavin could recall having always had a certain fondness for it, or well, any prime number really, but seven in particular was a good number. Good things usually happened in sevens, and he had come to associate Seeing seven in his visions meant something positive was going to come out of them. That was reason enough for him to like the number.
As for turning things anticlockwise instead of clockwise, Gavin had no idea where that came from, it was somewhere deep in his subconscious, simply embedded in his mind to rotate things left instead of right. He supposed he could turn things in a clockwise direction if he thought about it, but these were absent habits, never anything he paid much mind to. Unlike whatever relationship it was that he had with Evelyn, that was something he had to think about and act on quite carefully indeed. He wished things could be simple, it was more difficult than he had thought of to not act on physical urges.
Not that he only saw bedroom activities in Evelyn, he saw companionship unlike what he had had with anyone else, something which was both thrilling, and at the same time, terrifying. Gavin had really only felt physical sorts of attraction toward anyone, but this girl, he could see more than just the night or two (or many more than that) in his bed. He'd had sexual partners, but never really a lover in the emotional sense- something that might be taken as unusual for a man entering his thirties, but it hadn't been something he'd ever looked for before.
Even now he hadn't been actively looking for someone to connect with emotionally, it had just sort of fallen in his lap, which he supposed was the way that these sorts of things were supposed to work. Gavin nodded at Evelyn's assessment of the school, it was good to hear that someone felt the same way about the place as he did. It was nice enough, but he didn't look upon the castle with the same rose-coloured glasses that everyone else seemed to. It was a far cry from perfect, it wasn't home.
Gavin was much more content in a place that had no set schedule, was small and cozy. He'd probably still be in the commune if he hadn't been approached to take the post of Divination professor, perhaps joined a traveling caravan if he began to feel the need to get away from a more settled community. Gavin couldn't deny that the idea of moving about, never allowing himself to develop firm roots in one place, was appealing in its own right. Perhaps he might do that over the upcoming summer, though that was still a ways off.
"Don't pretend you're surprised by it," Gavin said with a smile before picking up his glass once more and allowing himself a sip. He allowed a pause to lapse, wondering what to do or say at this point, really, the possibilities were endless...

Evelyn was really beginning to wonder just how quickly things would escalate for the pair, wondered who would make the first move, all of that. She was only slightly ashamed at her thoughts, knowing fully how common they were in teenagers. Even though she was an adult by age and by the way she behaved, but she was still a teenager where her brain chemistry was concerned. Like those her age, she was still controlled by her hormones, and, right now, her hormones were forcing her into having all sorts of fantasies about her Divination professor. She simply couldn't help it.
Evelyn suddenly felt very self-conscious. What if she was making all of this up in her mind? What if Gavin was just being friendly, or just trying to let her down easy? Evelyn doubted that was the case, but she couldn't deny the fact that she was suddenly growing wary of the fact. She bit her lip anxiously, twiddling her thumbs in her lap. What was the matter with her? She was normally so calm and collected, someone who was bold and brave, someone who knew just how to get what they wanted and how to make themselves happy.
Evelyn knew that it was another side-effect of what she was feeling for Gavin. The more she thought about it, the more she realized just how much she wanted to have him in more ways than just a sexual partner. He truly was a fascinating, wonderful man, and she found herself to be much happier when she was near him. He'd helped her through so much already, and they'd only been speaking for a month. Around him, all of her problems seemed so small, so insignificant. It was a miracle.
Everyday, Evelyn battled her fear of the dark and her fear of being alone, to the point of panic. She had missed a few classes, simply because she had found herself hiding in the Room of Requirement, suffering from one of her many panic attacks. If she wasn't careful and didn't control her thoughts, she found that it was easy to start thinking about her parents, start thinking of all the conspiracies that she had about their deaths, and begin thinking too hard about the past and the future. The only time she felt comfortable and like her old self was when she was around Gavin...
"Don't pretend you're surprised by it."
Evelyn found herself smiling at the comment. Evelyn shrugged, peering up at Gavin, not even attempting to hide the flirtatiousness in both her tone and her gaze. "I didn't say I was surprised by it. I was just hoping you'd be the one to get the ball rolling here. You and I both know that what's going on between us is a bit more than just... professional conduct,"
[/color] she replied quietly, biting her lip softly.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Gavin again sipped his wine, and was surprised to see how quickly he was tossing it back, he ought to slow down some. But it was just one glass, what was that going to hurt? Absolutely nothing, he had decided. He was an adult, more than allowed to have one drink. It wasn't as if it'd even begin to cloud his already questionable judgement. But he would call it quits after this, he was beginning to get the suspicion that things might begin to go somewhere between Evelyn and himself, and he didn't want either party to be making any less than one-hundred percent conscious decisions- there was a lot on the line for both of them.
Evelyn could be expelled, and him... Not only could he lose his job, but all his work on bringing scholarly spotlight back to Divination could go to waste. Though Gavin couldn't deny that having such a heavy aspect of risk in this whole affair made it all the more appealing- the fact that whatever they had together could set them against the world was almost sexy in a way. Or perhaps it was just his deep desires talking, he just knew he wouldn't be able to make it the rest of the year holding back like this, not when it was so difficult after only a month.
He smirked lightly when Evelyn spoke, he loved being with her in this sort of environment, she too it seemed didn't feel the need to exercise any restraint, being shamelessly flirtatious. Nobody here knew. At least Gavin hoped they didn't, this was quite dangerous indeed. But thoughts of his reputation were growing ever-quieter, he was much more interested in the enticing redhead. Gavin wanted all of her, odd fears, panic attacks, and all. He wanted to hide her away, and make sure life never hurt her again.
"Am I to take that as a green light, my dear?" said Gavin, surprising even himself with how much of a flirtatious purr had slipped into his tone. He normally wasn't like that, decidedly more awkward around anyone he found interesting. Things were easy around Evelyn, natural as breathing, he didn't even have to think about it, and in a way that was immensely liberating. Again, not putting much thought into his actions, he drained the rest of his glass, delicately setting it down on the bar before giving it a quick three counterclockwise turns.
He didn't wait for a response from his last statement before he turned to Evelyn to speak again. "Do you want to get out of here?" Gavin asked suddenly. Sure, it was a bit forward, but this was something that they both wanted, regardless of risk, right? He'd still be a gentleman, but he could practically feel the electricity between them on the air, crackling like a thousand miniature bolts of invisible lightning.

"Am I to take that as a green light, my dear? Do you want to get out of here?"
Evelyn hadn't expected either of those two phrases to come out of Gavin's mouth in response to her statement, but she hadn't really know what to expect either. She'd been bold and allowed everything to come right out into the open, but she hadn't been expecting him to be so bold. She bit her lip, wondering just where they would go. There wasn't a lot of options for them, given the fact that they both lived at the school.
Evelyn realized that all of the dangers of their relationship made everything that much more exciting. It was wrong ad dangerous. There was so much on the line with their relationship, so many things that could take a turn for the worse at any moment. Evelyn could get expelled, Gavin could lose his job, and all his reputation in the education world would fall, his work discredited. And, yet, she was alright with a little danger. It almost made her want him more. She bit her lip, looking at Gavin.
"I have no idea where we could go, but yes. I thought you'd never ask..."
[/color] she replied, standing. She paid for her drinks and looked around, half-expecting people to give them dirty looks, to start whispering to one another. No one was, and she beamed. Out here, in public, away from the school, no one was the wiser. They could go about their business with ease, not having to hide their affections from one another. It was exhilarating and invigorating and Evelyn couldn't wait to be in a more private setting with Gavin. ((OOC: Wow, I'm not sure why this was so short...))[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Gavin for a moment was hit with a brief sense of panic, that was generally more forward than he cared to be- it wasn't too fast for Evelyn, was it? He watched her expression carefully, she seemed surprised. Surprised, but not offended. And when she spoke he was finally offered a good sense of relief, this was what she wanted- probably just as much as she did. Gavin's heart leaped and he could feel the adrenaline surging in his system. He shouldn't be doing this, though in spite of the calm logic of his conscience, more primitive urges were beginning to trump his judgement.
Really, it was ridiculous that he even had to restrain himself to begin with, regardless of their relationship, they were both still consenting adults. Gavin grinned when she responded, only giving further confirmation to the fact that he hadn't been out of bounds in his asking her to leave with them. In his usual way, he yanked down the sleeve of his robes (today a bright shade of true purple) over his hand before taking Evelyn's. This kind of contact, he found, was a bit of a loophole in his strange phobia, it didn't freak him out as it wasn't skin directly on skin. Hands were filthy, but having fabric between them was fine.
"I believe I've got an idea," said Gavin, carefully getting down from his seat and gently helping Evelyn from hers, "into the night we go!" He was practically bubbling over with all the feelings that had been building up inside him for the past month or so- this was all so exciting. Gavin led the way outside before disapparating, they were going to the commune where he had grown up, there was a small, makeshift residence for him there- erected in the event that he give up on teaching before the year was out. They could go there.

Evelyn watched as Gavin yanked the sleeve of his violet robe down over his hand to grasp hers. She grinned with delight as he stood, smiling at her and pulling her towards the door. He seemed as enthusiastic as a little kid at Christmas, and it was incredibly endearing. She didn't need to hear him speak to know that he knew where they would be spending their evening. She was excited and nervous, all at the same time. Once again, she looked anxiously around the pub, waiting for someone to yell at them, to tell them to stop. No one did.
Evelyn knew that they wouldn't, they had no idea how Gavin and Evelyn were related to each other, they had no clue as to the fact that this was a teacher about to bed his student for the night. As Gavin pushed open the door and wandered out into the night, Evelyn couldn't help but grin. This was going so well, so much better than she could have ever hoped for. She just hoped that she wouldn't ruin it in any way. Things were going so well, so much better than she had hoped, and the last thing she wanted to do was spoil the fun.
Gavin held her hand tightly through his robe as he Apparated into the night. They landed in an extremely colorful place, and Evelyn couldn't believe her eyes. She had no idea where they were, but, judging from the colorful tents and caravans, she could guess that he'd taken her to a commune. The thought was thrilling. Evelyn now, more than ever, wanted to know more about the handsome man who was enthusiastically leading her around in the night.
She looked around in wonder as they passed. The people smiled and waved at them as they past. There was music everywhere, there was love of all kinds in every place that they passed. Evelyn was almost ashamed to look so curiously at the more provocative forms of love, just boldly out in the open, but, at the same time, she found it incredibly beautiful. Evelyn didn't say anything, she simply marveled at the beautiful, wondrous place that Gavin had whisked her away to.

Gavin grinned as they materialized in the commune, such a lovely place it was, people simply existing and doing as they pleased, helping one another out. There was little in the way of fighting, everyone pooled together to help everyone out. Really, while unconventional, the colourful traveling residence (it went far north, near the border of Scotland, during the spring and summer, and during the colder months went further south, usually in and around Wales) was like one large, happy family. Nothing short of ideal in Gavin's mind. Really, the lifestyle did suit him. He waved cheerily and exchanged hellos with people as he was noticed, which wasn't a difficult task given his vibrantly purple robes, but nobody batted an eye.
They didn't pay attention to the fact that he was with a girl more than a decade younger than him, didn't mind the wizarding attire- in fact a good number of people wore similar things. "Well this is home," said Gavin fondly as they approached a yurt. To fit with the rest of the theme, the exterior sported thick stripes of alternating yellow and purple, it resembled a miniature circus tent. He discreetly pulled out his wand to undo the clasps- it wasn't that he didn't trust the people of the commune, but they were muggles, and he did keep a great deal of magical items in the yurt, he didn't want anyone happening upon them by accident.
Gavin finally released Evelyn's hand and made a deep bow with a sweeping gesture. "After you, my dear," Gavin said brightly. His mood was pretty much bubbling over at this point, though he might not have admitted it to himself, Gavin had been wanting this moment to happen ever since Evelyn had clambered up into one of his open study sessions at the beginning of September. But here, they would be safe from prying eyes, being around muggles was quite safe, being in his childhood commune even safer. They were all so wonderfully accepting- as long as it was consensual then there was no reason for anyone to get upset. Once inside, Gavin slid the zipper closed before flicking his wand to start a happily crackling fire in the pit at the centre of the room, which bathed the cozy semi-permanent residence in a warm glow.

"Well, this is home."
Evelyn turned her gaze from the splendors around her to gaze fondly up at the small striped tent that Gavin had affectionately referred to as "home." She was blown away at the simplicity of it all. If there was ever a place that she had been fascinated with, it was this little commune. There was so much beauty and freedom around her and it made her happier than she'd felt in a long time. Away from Hogwarts and away from home, she didn't have to think about anything negative or poor.
Normally, in an unfamiliar place, she would feel the uncanny presence of fear gnawing at her insides and closing in on her. She would feel small and enclosed, with darkness closing in on her. She would typically hear her parents' voices, their screams as they died. While she hadn't been there when it had happened, and while she was told it was an accident that they had perished, she still imagined the pain they must have went through, knowing full-well that darker forces had contributed to their deaths.
Somehow, Evelyn wasn't feeling any of those things. In the presence of Gavin and in the warmth of the commune, Evelyn was at peace. There was something wonderful and blissful about a place dedicated to pure love and bliss. She grinned at Gavin, squeezing his hand gently through his brilliant purple robes. "It's beautiful. I love it,"
[/color] she stated, smiling brightly. He pulled open the curtain and bowed low and Evelyn couldn't help but giggle in delight, a gesture she wasn't entirely used to. She decided that she liked the elated, girly version of herself. The version of Evelyn that Gavin brought out was someone she found better than the person that she typically was... "After you, my dear."Evelyn smiled softly, entering the home. As she expected, it was slightly larger than it was on the outside, but it was still cozy and homey. She heard the zipper of the tent being fastened up, enclosing them in a private space. With a flick of his wrist, Gavin lit a fire in the fireplace, and Evelyn gravitated towards it, smiling softly. It bathed the room in a beautiful fashion, and Evelyn turned towards Gavin. Biting her lip, she clasped her hands behind her back, looking up at him. "Well... here we are..."[/color] she said softly.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]
