Nathaniel loved winter, he truly did, it didn't matter where he was, what country, what sided of the world he loved it. Though nothing could beat December in London, unless of course it was Christmas time in New York city. Both cities were truly magical in every single sense of the word there was no denying it or arguing differently. This year he'd chosen to remain at home, though things were quieter than he would have liked with his family scattered all over the world on various holidays and business trips. As it was he was okay with it, he had a good feeling about being home.
Of course he had many interviews to get through but as a rule he'd demanded his agent limit his appearances this month. December was a busy time of year, it was Christmas and like most he wanted to enjoy it for what it was. As much as he loved his work, he had the rest of the year for that, now was his down time. There was something so joyful about this time of year, whether it be the snow or the festive cheer he didn't know but he sure did get a kick out of it.
"Thank you kindly m'lady." he said, winking at the pretty waitress who set his cappuccino down in front of him on his table, nestled closely to the window. The cafe was quaint, quiet not usually his scene but it suited him for now and allowed him for a moment to stop and watch the many Muggles passing by. Most clinging to their loved ones with smiles and pure delight on their faces, bags of all shapes and sizes in their hands.
Out of nowhere though a beautiful face appeared in his mind, making his smile. Azelie. He hadn't seen her since his interview months back but she sure had made an impression on him, one that didn't happen often. He had been half tempted to return to the office in which they had met but had resisted. As much as he desired the brunette, the last thing his reputation needed was that he was chasing after another woman, though he knew deep down he'd make an exception for her, she truly was desirable and someone who hadn't been far from his thoughts since they'd met.
Taking a sip of his coffee he leaned back in his chair and allowed his gaze to shift from the scene outside to the script in front of him. Another play he was being scouted for only this one was a new play, something many were hoping he'd consider taking on. He refused to though at least until he'd read it properly and since he had nothing to do he figured he would try his hand at reading now. Though at the same second he opened the script he heart the jingle of the bell as the cafe door was opened and out of sheer habit he looked up to see who had entered to find himself pleasantly surprised and somewhat dumbfounded.
"Well I must say this is a pleasant surprise..." he said...

Zélie was stressed out, but it would all be worth it in the end. Her job was stressful and greatly affected her, but she somehow made by with her job and with school. It was such an honor, but trying to keep her head above shark-infested waters was making her incredibly angry and frustrated. She'd taken up the job, of course, out of love and respect, but it was making her aggravated. She just wanted to get through the year so she could work full-time and not have to worry about balancing her school work with her work work.
Of course, Zélie was incredibly grateful for the opportunity. She was the talk of the school, with people still congratulating her. She'd been working there for four months, and people still patted her on the back to tell her how happy they were for her. Of course, some people were envious, even angry. Not many people knew the skill she had with writing, it wasn't something she shared with just anyone. Her writing was her well-kept secret, as was her voice, acting ability, and dancing. It was her own private love, kept from the rest of the world at all costs.
The job had done a good job at mixing her loves. At the start of her job, she'd fleetingly met her idol, Nathanial Baizen. She'd seen him perform live and new that he was at least nine years her senior, if not more, but that didn't make him any less alluring. Zélie had grown fond of his work and the crush that she had on him was a bit over-whelming. She'd managed to hold herself together when she'd met him, and the electricity in the air was incredible. Still, she assumed it had only been her. He was a star, what would he possibly want to do with her?
Zélie entered the Muggle café, needing some refreshments. She'd been out and about on her holiday, wanting desperately to get all of her Christmas shopping done. The bell above the door rang as she entered and she quickly set to work brushing the snowflakes out of her hair and off of her jacket.
"Well I must say this is a pleasant surprise..."
Zélie looked up immediately in surprise, recognizing the voice speaking to her. Her eyes met the gaze of the handsome man in the booth. Nathanial Baizen. Her heart fluttered and she felt faint. Giving him a grin, she approached the booth. "Once again, it's a pleasure, Mr. Baizen,"
she replied. Her eyes darted down to the script before him and she awkwardly tucked her hair behind her ear, taking a step away from the table. "Oh gosh, I should go; I don't want to bother you!" Zélie's Outfit[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Nathaniel watched Zelie as she began to brush the snowflakes from her hair and coat and found himself smiling. She truly was beautiful and right now she was a very welcome distraction. It turned out dropping in here had been the right thing to do and not just for the scene outside, what were the chances of running into her so randomly like this. Definitely something to do with fate there, magic almost. The brunette had been on his mind and now here she was, he liked that.
When her eyes locked onto him, the surprise obvious on her beautiful face he couldn't help but smile. She truly was beautiful and that smile of hers. As she approached the booth he lowered his script giving her his full attention. It was the least someone like her deserved, she was truly captivating, more so than any woman he'd ever met. He found himself truly wanting to spend time with her...which had to be a first...most women he dated were only after his name, his fame, Zelie though didn't seem like that kind of girl.
"Once again, it's a pleasure, Mr. Baizen, Oh gosh, I should go; I don't want to bother you!"
He watched the awkward way she tucked her dark hair behind her ear as she stepped away from the table and he shook his head. Dropping the script onto the table he stood up from his seat and fixed his gaze onto her, "Trust me sweetheart you're not bothering, you are most definitely a welcome distraction. Besides that can wait."
he said referring to the script on the table, it was still up in the air whether he was going to do it anyway. If he did it would take him away again for several months. "Please, sit with me maybe you could help me decide whether it's worth my time..." he suggested, she seemed to know him, she seemed like the kind of girl who followed plays and such. He urged her to sit down, waiting till she did before he sat back in his own seat opposite her, waving the waitress back over. "Tell me Zelie how are things going at work?" he asked, already able to picture someone like her on stage, she should be adored... [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Zélie couldn't believe her luck. She hadn't ever imagined that she'd be in contact with the handsome Nathanial ever again, nor did she expect that she'd ever get the chance to sit down and have coffee with him. It seemed like such a silly thing to want from someone, but Zélie wanted nothing more than to get to know Nathanial for the wonderful human being he was. She wondered what would have happened if she hadn't learned he was a wizard. It really was lucky that they both possessed magic, though she would swoon in silence.
Zélie knew better than to think too much about her and Nathanial. They barely knew each other, she was much younger than him, and she wasn't worthy of his attention. He definitely wasn't looking for a lowly school girl to spend his time with. Nathanial was famous, he could be dating the most beautiful movie stars or athletes or really whoever he wanted. There were much better choices than her. Still, Zélie had to admit, she flirted with the idea of being with him for a long time, life or otherwise.
"Trust me, sweetheart, you're not bothering, you are most definitely a welcome distraction. Besides, that can wait. Please, sit with me, maybe you could help decide whether it's worth my time..."
Zélie was pulled from her thoughts as he spoke. She was blown away. Had the Nathanial Baizen pushed aside a script and offered her a seat. It was incredible. Zélie didn't hesitate to sit across the table from him, shedding her coat and purse and putting it on the chair beside her. She folded her hands awkwardly in her lap, looking at him. Catching his gaze seemed too intense, but she couldn't help it. His eyes were mesmerizing.
"Tell me, Zélie, how are things going at work?"
Zelie smiled absently, tucking her hair behind her ears. "It's been well. Lots of hard work, but it's been nice," she replied. She gestured to the script. "And for you, Mr. Baizen...?"

Marcus couldn't help but stare at the young beauty in front of him, sat across from him right now. Today was definitely turning out to be his day and he was glad he'd come out today and not spent the day alone back home. If he was honest he'd also been half tempted ot return to New York just to bask in the atmosphere there, he loved the city and the variety. The city that never slept and he adored it, it was his home away from London. As much as he loved this city, he loved the big apple just as much and even he had to admit he was itching to get back.
He tilted his head to the side slightly, watching her with a rapt interest, she was truly stunning. He watched her getting comfortable and smiled when she smiled, tucking her dark hair behind her ear. He almost had to resist the urge to reach out and do that himself. It was clear to him and probably most he had an interest in Zelie, but surely a girl like her had plenty of guys chasing her.
"It's been well. Lots of hard work, but it's been nice,And for you, Mr. Baizen...?"
He smiled briefly before looking down at the script he'd pushed aside, his fingers idly tapping the cover. "Something new. My agent posted it over, I'm supposed to read through it, decide if it's a project I'm interested in." he told her, it was no musical, so that would be a new thing for him not that he wasn't willing to do something different. "No audition necessary apparently, seems the writer has seen me on stage..." he said, smiling lightly, he was in no way bragging but he was kind of grateful he never had to audition anymore...he'd been lucky and landed on his feet in this business and anyone who pursued him knew what he had to give.
"In fact beautiful maybe you'd want to take a look, give me your opinion?" he asked her, pushing the script across the table, any excuse to spend more time with the beautiful brunette. Looking at her he nodded, someone like her definitely deserved to be adored. Leaning forward he rested his elbows on the table and looked at her, a slight smile tugging at his lips, "I have a question...beautiful girl like you, never thought of doing something on stage?" he asked, wondering how her voice sounded though he had his suspicions.

Zélie was completely enraptured by the star before her. It was incredible, the fact that she was sitting across the table from one of her biggest idols, as well as someone she'd had an enormous celebrity crush on for years. She couldn't do anything about it, of course, but she really wanted to just drink in the moment. That's all Nathanial was, of course - a crush. She'd have to get over it, there wasn't any way that she could be anything more than just a dedicated fan in his eyes. But, the way he looked at her...
It was enthralling. He seemed absolutely captivated by her for whatever reason. Zélie shifted in her seat, feeling the pressure weighing down on her shoulders. She still was trying to figure out if this was the reality that she was going to be placed into from here on out. It seemed like a fairy tale, sitting across from a Broadway star that she had admired since she was small. Zélie watched as Nathanial tapped on the script offhandedly.
"Something new. My agent posted it over, I'm supposed to read through it, decide if it's a project I'm interested in. No audition necessary, apparently, seems the writer has seen me on stage..."
Zélie smiled. She wasn't at all surprised by that. "Well, I mean... you are Nathanial Baizen,"
she replied. Her smile gathered a semi-flirtatious edge as she caught herself looking him in the eye. The silence washed over them for a few moments before Zélie realized what she was doing. Clearing her throat, she opened her mouth to speak before she noticed Nathanial gently pushing the script across the table to her. "In fact, beautiful, maybe you'd want to take a look, give me your opinion?"Zelie nodded, reaching forward and opened the script, lightly skimming through it. It was a nice script, but it didn't seem like it was anything that was Nathanial's caliber. The character was very two-dimensional, very plain and typical. It was beneath him, in her opinion. She'd watched him play some beautiful, magnificent roles, and this wasn't anything in comparison to the great people he'd portrayed in the past. "I have a question... beautiful girl like you, never thought of doing something on stage?"The question caught her off-guard. Zélie looked up at him for a moment, studying his face before closing the script and gently pushing it back across the table to him. "Well... sure, I've thought about it... but it takes more than being attractive," she replied, offering him a small smile. "And in regards to the script? You could do so much better... but that's just my opinion, don't let that deter you from taking it!" she replied, blushing slightly.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Marcus leaned back in his chair and watched as the girl in front of him gazed over the script. He watched the expression on her face carefully and could tell, like him, she wasn't completely taken with it. Sure it was a decent script from what little he had seen but was it really him? Then again was he really right to turn it down? Maybe he should give it a chance before he shot it down...then again, he wasn't one to waste his time and he was sure there was probably someone out there perfect for the role. A kid, starting out maybe...looking for a break just like he had been..
"Well... sure, I've thought about it... but it takes more than being attractive...And in regards to the script? You could do so much better... but that's just my opinion, don't let that deter you from taking it!"
Marcus smiled and nodded his head, glancing out the window briefly before turning back to Zelie. "You're right about that beautiful..." and she was, but he had every confidence she had everything it took and no he wasn't just saying that because he was attracted to her. He'd noticed it the moment they met, she had star quality, something about her that just screamed she had so much ready to offer the world. She deserved to shine...
"I'll talk to my agent, if we're being honest I'm not feeling it..." he admitted, shooting her a small smile, tucking the script away into the inside pocket of his jacket. Glancing out at the street again he noticed the dwindling number of people passing and the steadily darkening sky and sighed, he wasn't ready for them to part just yet. In fact he was full out refusing, considering they'd just sat down. Looking at Zelie again he smiled and leaned forward in his seat, his arms resting on the table.
"Say, I know this place just around the corner, they do live music...I'd love it if you could accompany me?" he said, shooting her a smile, really hoping she accepted. If she needed to drop her bags somewhere that'd be fine too, he just wanted more time with her and maybe if he was lucky enough he could get her on stage with him...he had no doubt in his mind she'd sound amazing, it was simply a matter of getting her to show him...

"You're right about that, beautiful..."
Zélie couldn't help it; she blushed. There was something about having the full attention of her idol that made her giggly and bashful. It was rather embarrassing, but she couldn't help it. Nathanial was incredibly handsome and the fact that he was paying attention to someone about a decade younger than him was a miracle in and of itself. She honestly couldn't believe her luck, that all of this was happening to her. She smiled softly as he smiled back, she was hanging on his every word... Zélie was simply entranced by the beautiful man before her.
"I'll talk to my agent, if we're being honest I'm not feeling it..."
Zélie smiled brightly nodding. "Makes sense to me. Maybe someone else can have a shot at the stars, hmm?" she replied, grinning. She sat back in her chair, enjoying the friendly atmosphere. Talking to Nathanial was easier than breathing on the outside, but on the inside she was jumping for joy. This is the longest she'd ever gone in a conversation with someone she idolized, and it didn't show any signs of stopping any time soon. It was incredible. Zélie wanted to believer that this was all reality, but part of her was tempting to pinch herself. This all was almost too good to be true. What if she was dreaming.
Still, she refrained from reaching down and pinching herself. It was a bit silly and childish, but Zélie couldn't help it. All of this was akin to that of a fairy tale. Unfortunately, like a fairy tale, the princess was way too young for the prince. She was a baby compared to him. It was foolish to think he saw her as anything other than a silly fan. The "beautiful" comments could only be patronizing. He didn't find her attractive, he couldn't. It was all just a trick of her mind. At the very least, Zélie wanted to be his friend. Her mind could just fill in the romantic side-story...
"Say, I know this place just around the corner, they do live music. I'd love it you could accompany me?"
Smiling, Zélie nodded. There wasn't any hesitation needed. "I would love to," she replied. Gathering her things, she quickly got to her feet. Realizing how eager she must have seemed she settled herself down and took it a bit slower. It was a bit silly, but she didn't want to seem like the eager child in the equation. Nathanial was treating her like the adult that she was, it was only fair that she acted like it...
