Isaac had donned his dress robes and mask. His mother had sent them the moment that she had caught wind of the fact there was going to be a Masquerade. Isaac had worn them, a bit reluctantly, but the fact stilled remained that his other dress robes ought to be retired. As for now, he was waiting for Gabriella, they had decided to meet in the Entrance Hall before going in. He was a bit early, but that didn't matter. Isaac was ready. He leaned against the wall, awaiting the arrival of his fiance.

Mask

"Hello love," Gabriella said as she came into the entrance hall and spotted Isaac leaning against the wall. She was wearing the same set of gold robes she had worn for the Christmas Ball, but she had gotten a mask to go along with them. "I like your robes." Gabriella gave him a quick kiss.

"Good evening, gorgeous." said Isaac, putting his hands on Gabriella's hips, gently kissing her back. It was good to see her again. He couldn't wait until their wedding, which they had decided to be sometime in August. "Thanks. My mum sent them when she heard there was going to be a ball..." Isaac said. "Are you ready to go in?"

Gabriella laughed slightly. Trust Isaac's mother to send him dress robes for a ball she wasn't even involved in. "I'm ready whenever you are," she replied, staring into the other room. She had already had her fill of blood for the night, so she wasn't thirsty or anything. Still the smell of all that blood was weird sometimes.

Gabriella's Gift from Isaac

Isaac opened the door and gestured with his hand into the Great hall, that had been converted into a splendid ballroom for the occasion. "After you, my lady," said Isaac. He pondered why they were even going to this ball, they were getting married in the summer, was it really necessary? Well, as long as Gabriella was happy... Isaac thought on the necklace he had bought for Gabriella. Hopefully she would like it...

Gabriella, still holding his hand, led them into the Great Hall. She felt oddly nervous, as though the world shouldn't see them together. They were going to be married in August, going to a dance together should be no big deal, shouldn't it? The ring on Gabriella's finger seemed to glint unnaturally. She held her head up high and continued on. "Care to dance?" she asked once they had entered.

[/blockquote]Isaac did not care much for dancing, but he would. It had become much easier after he had been changed to a vampire. He felt a lot lighter on his feet, though still slightly awkward because of his barely noticeable limp. If only he had had time to set the bones before passing out... His foot slowed him considerably... Isaac dislodged the thoughts as he took Gabriella's hand. What was done was done, there wasn't a thing he could do about it now.[/blockquote]

Gabriella smiled as she led the two of them onto the dance floor, where immediately her mind was at ease. She had a certain magic when it came to dancing, it seemed to keep her sane. She knew it wasn't Isaac's favorite thing, but he always danced with her anyway. Gabriella would try not to stay too long, just for him. Well maybe.

This had become incredibly easy for him. The only people in the world right now were Gabriella and himself. But Angel was still on the edge of his thoughts, as she frequently was. Expecting twins and Wolfgang had broken up with her because of it. That was wrong. Isaac would have to exercise some extreme self-control the next time that he saw Wolfgang... The song ended and Isaac looked to Gabriella. "Do you care to continue?" asked he.

Gabriella pondered this for a brief moment. She knew that Isaac wasn't particularly fond of dancing, but she really needed another song to truly be happy. "Just one more song," she told him, already moving a bit as another song came on.[/blcokquote]

Isaac nodded, then adjusted his pace to go to the tune of the music, this song was much faster than the previous. He was still unsure as to how he would survive their wedding, it was traditional for them to dance. "But of course," said Isaac, continuing to lead. He did like the fact that he no longer had to watch where he was putting his feet. His first dance had been so awkward. It had been Isaac's second year and he took a Slytherin girl, he trod on her feet a lot...

This song was faster, and Gabriella was moving faster as well. Just a little bit too fast to be normal, but no one would notice. And if they did, they probably wouldn't know who she was anyways. Masquerade was a beautiful idea. The song was coming to a close and Gabriella was smiling. "Now what?" she asked as they stepped off the dance floor. Hopefully not another present...

Isaac wanted to leave the area, it was getting to be a bit too crowded. it might be a bit more romantic out in the garden anyways. "It's a bit too crowded for my liking in here," said Isaac, his thoughts were starting to waver to drinking from some of the people around them... "Would you care to go out into the garden?"

This sounded good to Gabriella. Now that she had stopped dancing, there was the all too present thoughts of eating her classmates around her. "Sure, let's go," she replied, walking out of the room, hand in hand with her fiance. Hopefully he didn't have another expensive present for her; she had only gotten a box of chocolates. Money had been a little short lately.

Isaac stuck his free hand into his pocket, the necklace was there. He had not spent any money on it. The necklace was a family heirloom, it had been his great-grandmother's. They were in the garden in only a few minutes, it it was spectacularly decorated. The snow had been charmed to be pink, and there were red and gold faeries adorning the bushes. There were even baubles hanging from the trees in St. Valentine's Day colours. Isaac was fairly impressed, it had not looked this nice even at Christmas. It seemed as if it had been decorated just for them.
