Gabriella smiled guility. Yes, those rumors were certainly true as well. Finally the Hogwarts students had gotten some things right. "Actually we did," she replied happily. "I'm looking forward to my last Christmas at Hogwarts, it should be fun."

"Perhaps I should change my response," said Isaac, thinking a bit. "I wouldn't want you to be lonely." He was considerate that way. Plus, the idea of spending a whole three weeks away from Gabriella now that they had rekindled their relationship was unbearable, to say the very least.

Gabriella frowned slightly. Though she appreciated that he wanted to be with her, she didn't like that he was ready to make sacrifices for her. "But I'm sure you're sister will be looking forward to being with you," Gabriella replied. "You wouldn't want to disappoint. Plus I'll have my sister, among others." Gabriella paused. Maybe she did want him to stay. She opened her mouth to speak and then closed it again.

"Allison's tough," Isaac said with a shrug. Bellatrix hated him, so it probably wouldn't matter to her whatever he did for the holidays. But it was his seventh year, it was a hard thing to grasp, knowing that he would never come back to Hogwarts again. Unless he decided to become a Professor... "What do you want me to do?" Isaac said.

Gabriella paused; should she really say what she was thinking? Yes, she might as well, Isaac had asked anyway. "I think you should decide," Gabriella replied. "Not for me, not for your sister, not for anyone else. I think you should decide for you."

Isaac made a noise of frustration. That was the exact problem, he didn't know what to do. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a large golden coin. A galleon. He flipped it, if it was heads, he would stay, if it was tails, he would leave. Heads. He stuffed the galleon back into his pocket. "All right, I'm staying." said Isaac.

Gabriella shook her head, silently scolding Isaac. She sighed a bit and then smiled softly. Well, at least he had decided. "Alright, Mr. Flip-a-Coin," she replied. Gabriella hugged him softly, glad he had decided to stay at last.

Isaac hugged his girlfriend back. She no longer felt cold to him. In a way, the cold had been comforting when he was a human. But now, her form felt warm and soft again, probably because he rivaled her coldness. Isaac pulled Gabriella onto his lap, as easily as if she were a teddy bear. "Now that that's settled, we have the whole evening before us, what shall we do with it?" Isaac asked.

Gabriella thought for a moment, and then her mind came up with something. "Sit on this rock and watch the world go by, because they all move too fast anyway," Gabriella said with a sly smile. It was something she had said last year, when they had first gotten together. But now it wasn't the world that moved fast, it was Gabriella and Isaac.

"Deja vu," Isaac commented, vaguely remembering hearing Gabriella tell him that. But that had been a long time ago, times had been a lot different then. He could only remember a few things about his human days, and the memories he could recall were fuzzy, seen with inferior eyes, heard with dimer hearing. "Sounds good to me." said Isaac.

Gabriella smiled at Isaac, glad he had remembered hearing her say that before. Any other guy probably would have forgotten by now. Gabriella hugged him tightly and then let go, still sitting on his lap. "Look at it go," she teased, a smile coming across her face.

"Yes, an amazing sight," Isaac said, tone teasing as Gabriella's had been. Time seemed to move abnormally slow to him now, probably because he could move so fast. Being a vampire was a strange thing. Isaac missed sleeping, he had enjoyed it, going to bed completely exhausted at four in the morning, and not waking up until well after noon. It was great.

Gabriella looked around her, feeling the weird vampire feeling that made everything seemed like it was going amazingly slow. It was a queer feeling, especially since she was sitting on a rock, going nowhere. The feeling was even stronger when she was walking or running.

Isaac felt at peace, the silence between them was no longer awkward. But it was restful, the kind of quietness that nothing had to be said in. They just had to sit and see how long the moment would last. Hopefully tomorrow would be cloudy, Isaac had to work then.

Once again, Gabriella was lost in the silent moment, remembering how she had first come to like silence so long ago. And yet it had only been last year that she and Isaac had been sitting like this. It seemed like a lifetime ago, like someone else's memories.
